| Decided to post some art here... I absolutely love to draw- it's a huge passion of mine, and is a great way of expressing your imagination. [: A lot of these pictures are very old; the oldest pictures are on the top, whilst the youngest are at the bottom. Many of these are fantasy role-play 'kats I have on my site, but hopefully, I'll be drawing some of the characters I have here. :3 Others are some pictures drawn in my art class, while some are just the results of boredom. And... I'm bored a lot. xD Anyway, I hope you like them. [: An old picture I drew of my character Vixen, a fox-like meerkat, as a pup- she's an adult now. This was done in a very old style I used to have, but I still think she's cute. xDA picture drawn back in January, which became my avy on my site for some time; I really like how this picture came out. [: But... I did use a reference of a real picture to look at, which helped a million. xDPicture of my character, Vulture Connrad. Well... attempt at him. xD It looks somewhat like him, especially his face, but his fur texture is very inaccurate- it's actually very matted.Drawn one night when the song "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" by Poison (( -is a total Poison fan- xD )) was completely lodged in my head, haha. I really love this picture... Oh, and if anyone's wondering, that little spot on the picture is white out. Can't remember what I did there...Using oil pastels, I made this in art class. I decided to do a Scottish wildcat, a feline that sports a phsyical appearance very similar to that of your everyday tabby. I love cats, domesticated or wild, so I enjoyed making this. C:Another picture made in art- using chalk, I did a mother cheetah and her cub. This is a rather old still life picture I drew. This image is actually a lot larger, but no, it was not gonna all fit on my scanner. xD It was an art project at school, and what we had to do was take a real object and draw it; so, I took a plastic rose and drew that, and afterwards, my art teacher suggested I could set it on my binder and draw that as the background, which I did. I like this picture quite a bit. :3Art project; this image is actually a lot larger, but because it's so large, I could only scan portions of it... Then I just sorta crammed this together in PhotoScape by making a few images of different areas visible. Considering tasmanian devils, inhabited in Australia, and bats, located nearly worldwide, and huge interests with me, I really wanted to combine them. The project in art was to mend two+ real images into one, so I just did a bat and tasmanian devil, though I gave the underside a slight man-like mix to it. Thought it came out rather well. :3 Made this with chalk, oil pastel, and color sticks.... I have a morbid imagination sometimes, sorry. D: This picture is much larger, like the picture before this, but I only managed to scan this area of a meerkat I randomly decided to name "Chloe", whom I'm probably going to turn into a demonic, fantasy 'kat on my site eventually. Made this with paint and colored pencils.Half-sisters, Firescream is my character while Lola is my friend's. I really like how Lola came out- it looks a lot like I've always pictured her. Firescream came out okay, except her fur texture, which I was going to show once it was colored- it looks somewhat blaze-like. I never colored it, though... I'm such a procrastinator. xDBoredom drawing influenced by the amazing song, "Love Will Set You Free" by Whitesnake, one of my favorite metal bands formed in the late 1970s.♥ This was really angle practice, since I had never attempted this you have to start somewhere with learning something new.YES, I KNOW THE COLORED ONE LOOKS LIKE A RABID SQUIRREL ELEPHANT MONKEY ATE IT AND REGURGITATED IT. IT LOOKS TERRIBLE. D: ... Sorry. o_O ANYWAY. A picture of one of my characters Violet. This is her in her demonic form; the basic idea came out rather well, but the coloring... oh no. x_x I oathed I would never use that colored pencil brand ever again. xD Also, I don't own the lyrics you see in the picture- they're from "Special Pets" by Otep.I still really love this picture... <3 This is another made in art; our art teacher gave us all a stack of images of celebrities, and we had to pick one picture to draw. At first I was going to do Jimi Hendrix; I've never been a huge fan of his singing, but he was a phenomenal guitarist, and I hold nothing but respect for him. I decided against it, though- his hair in the picture seemed impossible. xD So, I settled on Ray Charles, a blind singer/pianist. I've always hated drawing people and actually had to force myself into really trying on this, but it was all worth it. [:Four role-play 'kats of mine on my site: Severin Connrad, an unusual loner named Strigoi, a currenty uncreated Josephine, and one of my two main characters, Jaw Connrad. I like all of these, except Jaw... I can never get him right. xD I decided not to color Josephine when I made this- I still hadn't decided on her fur coloration.I was bored after taking the science EOC at school, so... this happened. o_O Sorry this is on lined paper- this is actually on the back of a note I wrote to my friend... he's come to expect my morbid art though... xDD I've been coloring this on Photoshop, so will probably re-upload it.Painting of a bald eagle I did in art. |

| You're drawings are awesome Ozzkat I used to draw but now I mostly write fanfiction. I'm thinking of writing a story about one of my characters here in the future. | |

| Thank you, Night and Yosh. And I've love to read one of your stories, Yosh! Just reading yoru role-play posts is amazing- you're a great writer. And thank you, Dipsy! And I can already tell you have artistic talent, don't put yourself down- you drew your icon, I'm guessing? It's really good! I honestly don't think I'm that good... there's a lot of things I want to artistically improve on. I hate how I can never get that image in my head onto paper. D: That's one thing I'm terrible at- I can never get art anywhere near how it appears in my head. It's annoying. Dx And they certainly are! They're amazing animals... and really? That's awesome! I know that had to be great! |

| Thank you Ozzkat I know what you mean about not being able to get your ideas on paper; that is a problem I often come up against. I did draw my icon, but that's kinda old... I need to upload some newer drawings. But I'm glad you like it It was pretty cool Suprisingly, Tazzie devils have really soft fur. It was like a really soft teddy bear | |

| Yeah, I used to be pretty good at hand-drawing on paper. But I lost my touch over the years, so, I resorted to doing digital art, and I haven't looked back yet. ^^ Its a lot more work, but the results can be satisfying. x3 | |

Night- That's good you found something that suited you best though with art. You certainly are good at it! |

| Just a random sketch I drew a month ago of the now-extinct, Australian marsupial, the Tasmanian wolf. This animal had many wolf-like characteristics, but is actually more closely related to a kangaroo than a wolf, being so it is also carried its young in a pouch. The Tasmanian wolf had orange fur with black stripes, giving it its nickname, "zebra wolf", as well as some areas dabbed white, such as the muzzle and such. They were social animals and, soon after their discovery, were hunted to extinction due to the fact they reeked havoc on farmers' sheep herds; the last known Tasmanian wolf, one kept in a zoo, tragically died in 1936. It's a shame they had to be hunted to extinction- they're very beautiful, intriguing creatures...Another picture made about a month ago. I really like this... I was just practicing some shading tactics and whatnot, but I love the result. As well, as my doodle turned into something more, I decided I wanted to draw attention to a meerkat's fangs, one of the many reasons I become very upset at the knowing many people do indeed keep meerkats as pets- a very bad mistake for both the wellfare of you and your house, but above all, the meerkat itself. Meerkats bite in both self-defense and in playfighting, and if a human is the victim, bites can be excruciating and hold a likelihood of becoming infected; and common sense will say that if a human is bitten so vigorously, the meerkat is likely to be punished, something entirely unfair for the mongoose- biting is simply in their nature, so retribution for an action that they cannot live without is pretty cruel... Above all? Please, refrain from purchasing a meerkat as a pet- these magnificent creatures belong in the wild, where they can live in pleasure and joy, the way they deserve. |
