Roleplay - 20th January

ooc: The Phantoms just got out of a battle... But Pancake and I have a plot for them to battle within the next 3 RP days (we haven't decided which yet) Also, if the one week rule no longer exists, should I post a subject for Stormy's litter soon...?


Stormy follows her partner's gaze to her bickering children. Raine must be groomed to be dominant female, but she isn't exactly sure how to mentor Lucifer into dominant material, although she would like to. She eyes Gunthram next with a apprehensive expression... His blood lust is quiet certainly something the matriarch of the Reapers finds highly attractive, although she knows he is pending something deep within his mind and it makes her slightly nervous. Yes, Cyan's mob... She trails off. She'd once given everything to try to impress Cyan. What a pathetic waste. She'd grown to dominate a mob steadily rising to power... she did not need a drop of anyone's approval no longer.

Raine rolls her eyes. Whatever. You're totally just jealous, she sneers, brash and ignorant as usual. She's going to take a lot of harsh sculpting by her mother to even get close to dominant female material.

Jealous of you? Lucifer arched a brow at Raine, my dear sister, he said slowly with a tone of sweetness with soft eyes but a sly grin creeping across his lips, why ever would I be jealous of little angel you? He looked her directly in the eye, daring her, as if reading every thought in her head. He knew there was little chance his proud sister would ever let that challenge go unaccepted.

ooc: I had this idea where Lucifer grows to become very scheming, calculating, predicting, manipulative and somewhat mind controlling because he gets inside other meerkats' heads by observing their behavior, learning their weaknesses and exploiting them, often without his victim ever knowing. Something like a puppet master, and he's a bit of a prodigy. This is him practicing a bit on his sister.

ooc: I like that....

On the account of her brother calling her an angel, Raine whipped around. No, she was no angel. No child of Stormy could even fall close to being classified as an angel, unless... No. Baring her tiny little pup fangs, she approached him. How can I be an angel? You and I were the only ones strong enough to survive in our litter. We're the future of the Reapers, we are no such thing. She growled and swiped out at him, her paw missing his face. Cursing, Raine aimed again, yet again missing. She needed much improvement on her battle skills.

Stormy swept her eyes over the foraging Reapers. We've won every battle we've fought in, although it's been a while since we had one. Rex, although he's one of the softer ones here, is dedicated to his mate Zola and would defend her to his death. He's a skilled fighter, which is probably why I've let him stay, as well as my sister. She's good for raising pups. Taipan is good, yes... I'm pretty sure he's from the Black Mambas. Never myself encountered them, but you hear several legends. (Correct me if I'm wrong about him being a Black Mamba) We're low on numbers... We used to have several gifted warriors. Angrily she swiped her claws through the sand. Cowards. They fled the Reapers, leaving them with low numbers...

Lucifer grinned wickedly as he saw that his taunting was getting under her skin, and had the desired effect. He gave a calm scoff, Please, you wouldn't know strength if it bit you, you've just been lucky so far. Maybe your excessive kissing up had something to do with it. Without taking so much a split second to catch a breath after speaking, he took a swipe at Raine's shoulder, resulting in a small scratch. It wasn't enough to break skin, but the fact that it made contact should be enough to drive her deeper into her rage.

Taipan snickered, this battle of the pups was finally getting interesting. (Yes, he was one of the Black Mambas)

Chief looked away. He could tell these two would be royal pains in the tail when they were older.

Oh, her brother knew exactly how to push her buttons. Despite the fact she was fully aware of this, she swiped out at him again, her paw catching him in the jaw. It was a measly swing, not enough to deliver significant doses of pain nor damage his face in any way. She chattered in frustration. I haven't gotten lucky. Mom chose me! She whined, a hard edge to her voice.

Taking the swipe, Lucifer took a deep breath and didn't let himself show any emotion. He just gave a small smirk, and choose wisely she did. Although his words were complimenting, his tone was deadpanned in a demeaning way. Lucifer took pleasure in the sight of his sister unraveling. Maybe this whole thing will drive her to try harder to deserve what she got, but he was confident that in the end he would surpass her. Because he had a plan for everything.

ooc: Pssst. There's still Inle. xD He'll be fun to play again!

bic: Inle, his expression somber and grim, approaches the little pup fight. After a moment a grin sweeps across his face ever so slowly... He's enjoying this, every minute. He watches like a cat stalking a mouse, ever so curiously... This could be trouble.

Stormy, hearing enough of her children's bickering, stalked over and lightly swiped both of them over their heads. Raine, stop being a brat! You're even giving me doubts. She then returned to Gunthram, smoothing down her silver fur in several places along her flank. Sorry. That's my litter that's grown up without a father, she explained, keeping her eyes on the two. Where did she go wrong with Raine...?

As he was swiped by his mother, Lucifer bowed his head respectfully and took the hit without compliant. He glared at Raine. Their mother's interference may have spared her this time, but he knew that there were other ways to practice his skills of manipulation. Giving a snort at his sister, he turned and trotted away with his tail held high over his head to demand food from foraging adults.

With all seeming too peaceful at the burrow, Bonnie sat tall on high alert watching something moving in the grass. From her position it looked like a lone individual but from the way it was still approaching it didn't seem like a rover looking for romance. Tense as it continued to come closer and closer, the dedicated female's protective instincts kicked in and she leaped from her position and charged into the grass.

Unexpecting to collide with Bonnie at a full charge, the lone male bolted into a hasty retreat with Bonnie in hot pursuit.

Charged by the opportunity for something exciting happening, Squirrel hurried after Bonnie. Maybe she'd catch him and get to bite his ankles till they bled.

Alarmed by being left on her own, Kira whimpered and rushed underground hoping that her babysitter would return shortly.

(ooc: For now I will drop covering Bonnie and will bring in CSN a bit later once I have a bio typed. Squirrel will return in a few posts.)

Gonzo carried Bacon in his jaws as he cautiously entered the territory, hoping they would both be allowed. It was hard for him to care for this vicious pup on his own that took after him.

Stormy keeps her jaws shut, but her icy eyes follow Gunthram towards her children. They are the future of this mob, and although she doubts he would do such an act, if he kills them she would shred him. Keeping all these thoughts locked away inside her brain, she just sits and continues to observe. She'll let Gunthram do as he pleases, as they are a joint leadership, and should be allowed to do with the subordinates as he pleases, of course, as long as he doesn't kill them. She would draw the line there. If they were not weak or traitors they were a Reaper, and even if lacked in battle stamina it could always be raised.

Raine eyed her new father. He seemed to be looking for a pup, scouting for one... But why? The young female suspected it was for the sake of taking one under his wing like her mother had done to her, but who? Lucifer? Surely not. Eyeing her brother, Raine felt her fur grow hot and she bristled with jealousy. I'm special, not him, the little brat thought.

Lucifer watched Guntram with a slight interest. He knew that if he truly wished to be a leader, he would need a mentor. He showed no emotion as he watched Guntram approach Raine. At this he narrowed his eyes. If this male was intending to teach Raine then he was wasting his time. He could try to raise power in her. The way Lucifer saw it, true divine power, the right to rule, was something you were born with. He already had that natural power, he only needed a mentor to help him harness it. If it wasn't to be Guntram, he'd find someone more worthy of teaching him. If the pup couldn't find a mentor here, he'd leave when he was old enough, and return as the powerful ruler he was destined to be. Lucifer got up and decided to do some exploring.

ooc: Poops, actually, I think Gunthram should chose Lucifer, as Stormy's already teaching Raine. But it's up to Kusuma!

ooc: Lucifer DOES need a mentor...

Gonzo waited with a squirming Bacon in his jaws as he neared the territory even more. Of course, he still had to remain cautious.

Stormy flickers her eyes from her mate to her daughter and back again. Raine was reciveing her instructions- there was no need for another. She silently beckoned her head to her son, Lucifer, whom, in her opinion, had more untaught potential than Raine did. Of course, he wouldn't be able to stick around the Reapers to lead one day if one of his sisters took over, but that wouldn't stop him from leading somewhere else. She lusted for her bloodlines to continue through several generations. No disrespect, but Raine is my duty. She continued to motion towards her son, silently hinting at what she wanted. Raine can't be the only superior one. Her ego would grow even larger.

Raine scoffed at her mother's remark. Ego? What ego!

Runt watched the two other pups fight and he snickered. This mob had taken its toll on what would've been a sweet, loving pup- Instead, he was now a bitter, hateful little ball of fur. Little. He continued to watch them bicker until Stormy swatted them- He tried not to bust out laughing. Instead he gave a partly stifled chuckle. He saw Lucifer heading off somewhere and got up, skittering after him- perhaps he wanted to find something to eat, because Runt was starving. As usual. The anorexic pup caught up and slowed to Lucifer's pace, waiting to see if he drove him away before he got too comfortable.

Lucifer sensed someone behind him and glanced back to see a the smaller pup following him. With a subtle, sly grin and an arched brow, he turned to face Runt, Can I help you?

The small pup narrowed his eyes at Lucifer, disliking the almost menacing look on his face. "No.. where are you going?"

Unaware of Guntram's thoughts, Lucifer tossed a casual expression onto his face as he answered Runt's question, I'm just exploring.
