Description
Personality-Marissa is a rather easy going soul. She's laid back usually, never stressing often or worrying constantly. She does, however, have an itch she can't control, and that is the itch to help any meerkat out when one is being injured without reason. She's always been target to feeling immense empathy for those suffering injustice, and she will not stand for it. When it comes to battles she's a different 'kat. She is a skilled fighter, using her sleek body for speed in attacks. If another mob hurts one of her mobmates there is no stopping her. She will fight viciously. Otherwise, she is not that vicious nor strict of a dominant, although her quick thinking and wit gets her out of tricky situations with ease. She's determined and bold, never afraid to fight for what she believes is right. Her spirit is not easily broken, thus prompting a strong-spirited and physically strong mob.
History-Marissa was one of three pups born to Vendetta, dominant female of the Voyager's mob subordinate sister Vialli. Her two littermates consisted of a male, Duncan, and another female, Savannuh. Although they were subordinate pups they were born around the same time as Vendetta's litter of Fry, Percy, and Ellieann, and the group often treated them as a litter of six.
Marissa and her littermates grew up to be dedicated members of the Voyagers. She often felt the need to prove her worth as she wasn't a child of the dominant female, often pushing herself in battle. She soon found herself excelling in fights, even for her sleek rather than bulky structure. This impressed the others, and she soon found herself a highly respected member of the extended family, causing her sister Savannuh to grow jealous. When Vendetta was wounded by a jackal Vialli took over, once again falling pregnant, fathered by the same male. Her next litter wasn't conceived as well in the family- they were ashamed Vialli had taken advantage of the favor she was performing. Sabrina, Flicker, Checkers, and Deuce had a harder time growing up than the first litter did. When Vendetta was back to full health she attacked and killed Vialli, devastating Marissa. It was then she began to see her aunt in a different light.
Shortly afterwards Savannuh fell pregnant, and all pup one of her pups were killed by her aunt. She then dispersed. Marissa and Duncan looked out for each other after that. After what their mother did they'd both lost their respect, despite the fact they had nothing to do with it. The war against the Incas soon began, and Checkers was killed along with several others on both sides. Vendetta was eventually killed by the Incas dominant female herself, throwing the mob into utter chaos. Marissa tried to take over, but was brutally beaten and chased out by her female cousins. Duncan and Sabrina followed.
After roughly two weeks of the siblings being on their own, they were separated. Marissa joined with wild male Aiden, and a few other wild meerkats to form the Skittles. Shortly after Duncan and Sabrina found them and were reunited with their sister, alongside a ten month old female named Sequence. The Skittles lost members. All of the wild meerkats minus Aiden were killed, including Sequence herself, cutting the group down to 4. Duncan left to return to the Voyagers after he heard that his cousin Treasure was leading- they'd always gotten along, even after Vialli.
Marissa thought her mob was coming to an end, and worse, she was pregnant. Now she's unsure what to do. She's due in a matter of days and only has her mate and younger sister to look after her.
