Cloud Catcher X Splash

OKay, I was messing around with this new, more anime, kinda style, and I would like your opinion of it.
It's a couple of Sketches of CLoud Catcher and Splash, because I think they are adorable ;D

There are some obvious faults with the style, so if anyone has any pointers, I'd love to hear them

They look a little anthro... that's all I don't like.

Yeah I was messing around with a more personified look, which is how they kinda ended up with hair, lol. But I am no good at drawing different styles; I tried to draw Fantasy the other day but I couldn't find the right style. So if anyone has any tips, I'd love to hear them.
By the way, I have no idea if Splash looks anything like she's supposed to, it was sorta just how I imagined her. So sorry if I got it wrong, lol.

Another one I did; this took FOREVER to do, cause I couldn't work out how to get a white border, lol.
I was listening to Stand In The Rain by Superchick, and as I had a pencil in my hand, I ended up with this drawing. Again, I'd love to hear any tips you have.

If you're talking about the first picture, sure you can colour it

As for the song, the lyrics are actually from three different songs:
"If you fall, stumble down..." and "Tell me you won't give up..." are from Save You by Simple Plan.

"I close my eyes, and all I see is you..." is from I'd Do Anything by Simple Plan (which is Cloud Catcher's theme song.)

"When you call, my heart stops beating..." is from I Can Wait Forever by Simple Plan.

I've been meaning to ask, when I draw my Cloud CatcherXSplash drawing, do you mind if I give Splash a similar hairstyle to the ones above? Mostly just because, if she has no hair, and Cloud Catcher has spiky hair, it might look a little odd >.< But, if you prefer it that I wouldn't, then that's cool.
