Roleplay - 7th of November

Duke gets to the top of the tree and balances himself, where he then starts some serious sentry duty.

Suddenly the danger in Mischka's area doubles. A large Martial eagle surfaces from behind some camel thorn trees in the distance. It sores off in the distant sky but its presence is enough to make Mischka nervous. He sounds alarmed peeps and frantically looks around for a bolt hole to take shelter in. Unfortunately Mischka is out of luck as there doesn't appear to be one in the area so he's forced to substitute a bush for his shelter. He bounds for the nearest bush, which unfortunately is the one that is harboring the deadly puff adder. In response to Mischka stepping into its trap, thinking that he's a predator, the puff adder strikes, spooking the beetle dung out of him but luckily its deadly fangs miss him by inches. Mischka backs out from the bush, sounding panic striken chrrs. He bounds for another bush to take shelter under, which to his relief, is harboring no predators.

Meanwhile, Ninja is relaxing under the shade of a bush, gaining back the strength he lost during his frantic run for shelter from aerial predators. He's unaware that things have turned dangerous for his friend Mischka.

Duke looks around, unaware of Mischka's struggle.

Back inside the burrow, Cactus shifted to get into a better position in his hiding spot. This movement could easily give away his location to his brother, Conker.

The martial eagle's flight pattern suddenly closes in on Mischka's location. He looks up at the sky, nervously. This is another reason why he dreads roving alone. He has no one to watch his back and to keep him company. Having been braught up roving with his father and brother, he hasn't yet learned the survival skills to be able to fully fend for himself while roving alone.

Ninja's energy has returned to him and he gets to his feet. He looks around for danger. Still rattled by the predator scares, he wants to make sure that it's absolutely safe before taking off. Being careless out in the roving field could get you killed.Finally, it seems things have become tranquil for Ninja he sets off in the direction that leads to the Willows but he has a long way to go and now that the day is moving on to the afternoon hour, he needs to pick up the pace if he wants to find out Linda's fate today.

Duke scans the area, keeping watch for predators.

Ninja makes his way towards the Jumaa/Midnights territory border. His path has become tranquil and he's enjoying the peace and quiet of the predator free walk.

Mischka however is still in danger. The martial eagle has landed in a camel thorn tree close to where he's taking shelter, trapping him. It looks like he won't be leaving for his roving mission any time soon.

Duke keeps a firm grip as wind passes and shakes the slim tree. He doesn't even get distracted.

Ninja gazes at a graceful herd of springbok admiringly as they make majestic leaps through the vegetation in the near distance. He's begining to not recognize this area so he knows he must be getting close to edge of the Jumaas border. He hopes to be in Willows territory soon.

Duke stares into the distance, looking for anything that may be dangerous.

Aliya looks up at Duke with a smile and gets back to foraging.

Suri eats a beetle.

Emzio looks around. She finds the trip off putting, so heads back to the group.

Duke looks behind him incase there's predators in that direction.

Ninja sniffs at the air. The Jumaa's scent is weak in this area and he can smell the scent of another meerkat group, unfortunately it's not the Willow's scent. He should be out of Jumaa territory in a matter of minutes now. His heart starts to race in excitement. If he can move swiftly through however many meerkat territories he may have to pass through, he could reach the Willows hopefully by late afternoon and hopefully get to see Linda again.

Duke keeps his balance on what he now realizes is a shaky tree. He's had worst though, so it doesn't bother him.

Back in Mischka's location, he's patiently but nervously waiting for the matrial eagle to fly its coop so he can continue on with his roving trip but his patience is starting to wear thin. He must control himself though. If he rushes to make his get away he could end up getting predated.

Duke sees movement in the distance and squints slightly to see what it. A meerkat-sized animal, but not a meerkat. It's a mongoose. He ignores it and looks for real danger.

Ninja reaches the border line into Blizzards territory. Without hesitation he crosses over bracing himself for what's to come ahead.

Mischka pokes his head out of the bush. The martial eagle is still there! He growls getting impatient and frustrated. He doesn't want to be stuck here all day long and if has to, he'll make a risky dash for his destination...to where ever group may that be.

Below ground, Cactus slank out of his hiding spot, sneaking towards his brother without a sound.

Conker looks around confused. He saw his brother Cactus head into this tunnel but can't seem to find him anywhere. He's unaware that Cactus is sneaking up on him.

Cactus gets close enough to Conker to strike. However, he misses and falls with a soft thump.

Conker leaps back squeaking in surprise. He soon realizes his brother's failed attempt to playfully ambush him and he takes the advantage by leaping on top of his brother and gently nibbles on his ear, while churring playfully.

Cactus squealed playfully as he rolled over to get his brother off him.

Conker drops to the burrow on his back and squeals with delight as he paws at the air.

Aliya digs up a scorpion. She quickly eats it.

Emzio returns the group and looks around, happily.

Suri goes to the shade and lies on her stomach, looking up to the sky.

A half an hour passes and Mischka decides to check to see if the martial eagle is still there. He cautiously pokes his head out from the bush. As he looks at the tree where the martial eagle was perched, he's relieved to see that it has flown its coop. It's finally safe enough for him to continue his roving mission and seconds after discovering that it's safe, Mischka bounds off toward the southwest, heading in the direction of Reaper's territory.
