Roleplay- 3rd of December

Smudge and Mellow Yellow engage in another game of playfighting, whilst Acacia looks on.

ooc: Just to let you know there was a martial eagle spotted flying over burrow gounds. Carnation got seperated from the group and Mischka is about to come to her rescue.

Carnation increases the volume of her contact calls. She knows this will be putting her at risk of getting spotted by the martial eagle but she's panic stricken and desperate. She hopes somebody...anybody comes to her rescue whether it'd be a rival meerkat, yellow mongoose whatever. She has no idea where she is and is afraid to move. She needs to led into shelter.

Not knowing who the stranger in danger is, Mischka follows his instincts and dashes into the tall grass, attempting a heroic rescue. He may be taking a risk by coming to an aide of a stranger. They could be hostile but he's feeling a wave of courage and is determined to play hero.

Gavan can't hear the calls and is in the burrow

PK stays in the bolthole. He hopes Carnation is out of sight of the eagle, or safe in another bolthole.

Sacha is also concerned for Carnation.

Kal couldn't care less.

Felicity looks above ground she whimpers slightly and cuddles Penny tighter

Penny dosent mind and is also whimpering

Kiki is with her pups , she anxiously looks at the burrow entrance for any signs of Carnation

Lady Pink dashes into the burrow she sits with Felicity and Penny

Gavan sat down in the burrow he's scared

Carnation looks up at the sky and discovers the martial eagel to be soaring directly over her location. She whimpers and shutters, fearing her distress calls may have drawn its attention to her. She crouches down low and preys the martial eagle doesn't spot her.

Mischka crawls through the sea of grass, keeping low so the martial eagle doesn't detect him. He pauses, realizing he no longer hears the distress calls. Desperate to want to help the mystery stranger, he sounds contact calls hoping they will hear him and respond.

PK pokes his head above ground to see if the eagle's gone. He sees it still soaring in the sky and peeps that it's not safe yet.

Kal grumbles and stays in the burrow.

Sacha also remains below ground.

Carnation's ears twitch upwards when Mischka's contact calls reach her though she doesn't know it's him. She assumes the calls are coming from one of the fellow Oreo members who could be searching for her. She has the urge to respond but fears doing so will put her life in danger. She remains silent and crawls in the direction she hears them which is unfortunately further away from the burrow.

Mischka keeps up his contact calls. He knows someone is there, he heard them and they couldn't have been silenced by the martial eagle launching a deadly assault on them because he would've seen it dive into the grass. He takes a few steps fowards and increases the volume of his calls.

Luke sits anxiously in the bolt hole. He has noticed Carnation has gone missing, and he is very worried.
Alex does a head count, to make sure everyone else was here.
Trinian sits at the burrow mouth, watching the eagle curiously.
Estella cowers behind her mother.

Carnation leaps through the sea of grass, dodging twigs and uneven pockets of chunks of grass on the ground along the way. She can hear the contact calls increasing with volume and feels a wave of relief travel through her. She assumes she must be almost at the burrow. instinctively, she sounds contact calls of her own, letting who she thinks are the Oreos, know that she's fine and has found her way back thanks to their efforts to keep up their search for her.

Mischka is relieved to hear this mystery meerkat respond to his contact calls and bounds in the direction he hears them. He and Carnation are now only seconds away from meeting up with each other for the first time. At the moment, Carnation doesn't realize that she's about to run into her love interest and Mischka doesn't realize he's coming to the rescue of his desired female.

PK keeps watching the eagle from the safety of the bolthole.

Kal gets annoyed with waiting for the eagle to leave.

Sacha waits patiently.

A lone female timidly walked along. She would jump at any given noise made, even if it was nothing to worry over. Her eyes scanned the area around her as she walked. She could faintly hear meerkat calls. Seeming hopeful, she went toward them. Could it be her sister? Whom she had been searching for since the two became separated. Unknown a threat was in the air, she was more focused on seeing who was making the calls and hoped it would be her twin sister.

Gavan sat down and grooomed him self it will be along time before it leaves

Suddenly, the eery screech of the martial eagle screams right above Carnation. She looks up at the sky and is horror struck to see the bird of prey swooping straight towards her. She freezes in fear and is unable to move. Her heart pounds like crazy knowing this could be the end for her. Her muscles stiffen and she closes her eyes tightly, bracing herself for a swift death. Suddenly, she feels a strong tug on her right shoulder and the next thing she knows, she's on her side looking at the worried expression on the face of a familiar and dreamy looking male meerkat, Mischka! Carnation sits up quickly and squeals with joy. The male she's been crushing on has come to her rescue. Now they're alone, finally! She wraps her front limbs around him and nuzzles him lovingly.

Mischka churrs passionately and grooms Carnation tenderly. He's relieved that he had come in time and saved his beloved Carnation from the deadly claws of the martial eagel before it was too late. His body is fills with joy now that he's getting a chance to finally be with the female he much desired and the best thing is she loves him back! As they engage in a bond building grooming session, the martial eagle had lost sight of the 2 meerkats so flies off.

The female frowned as the calls ceased. She trembled slightly, looking around. Timidly, she let out a few calls of her own, hoping to get an answer.

Kal, Sacha and PK are in the bolthole, unaware of the lone female's presence.

Carnation nor Mischka notice the martial eagle flying off as they are engaging in a romantic grooming session.

Excited to finally be with her prince charming, Carnation sounds satisfied churrs as she romantically grooms Mischka down his neck. She thought this dreamy moment would never happen. Despite the predator scare being terrifying, it's as if it happened for a reason and in the end, fate had braught these 2 love interests together.

Mischka churrs in satisfaction as Carnation grooms along his neck. He too is ecstatic about finally being alone together. There's no resident males to chase him off and no sentries around to ruin his precious moment. He laps up the charished moment with his love interest as much as he can. He knows it's a matter of time before the Oreos discover Carnation has been with him. He's worried for her. She's risking everything to be with him and he fears because of him, she could be dealt with a brutal punishment.

The female frowns as she got no answers. Gulping, she pressed onward, unknown she was nearby Mischka and Carnation. She looks around timidly.

((OOC: Ya know, I had a friend on World of Warcraft who had their toon/character named Carnation. Nice gal.))

PK looks out the bolthole again and sees the eagle flying away. He peeps an all clear and emerges.

Kal runs out the bolthole quickly and looks around.

Sacha walks out and also looks around.

ooc: That's a coincedanceXD I've heard of World of Warcraft but never played it. I've heard it can be a pretty addicting game.

Suddenly, the sound of wings flapping in the air over head interrupts Carnation and Mischka's romantic grooming session. Mischka looks up and can see that a goshawk has landed in a tree he can see through an opening in the grass. He nudges Carnation suggesting that they should find a bolt hole or some other kind of shelter that will conceal them from the sight of the of bird of preys that appear to be teeming in this area. The grass isn't gauranteed to keep them safe as a sharp eyed hawk or eagle could easily make out their forms in the grass.

Carnation gasps in fear and ducks as she sees the goshawk in the tree. She looks at Mischka and nods in agreement then leads an aimless way through the grass, hoping they eventually find open ground where they can start looking for some kind of shelter. Both Mischka and Carnation are unaware that a lone female named Maple is wondering around in their area.
