Role Play- 8th of December

Though she isn't one to brag, Sandy is still a proud meerkat. She smiles, enjoying the attention but also staying alert for any fight-backs by Carnation.

Carnation flashes a brief sneaky smirk then gently knocks Sandy back with the tip of her muzzle. She delicately swats the pup on the side while growling playfully.

Ruby looks out at the distance curiously. She liked how the area looked, but knew not to stray from the group. It could be a fatal mistake on her part.

Sandy growls in playful, fake anger and starts to chase Carnation. She wants to play tag.

Carnation leaps up, eager for a game of tag. She begins darting around the vegetation dotted around the group giggling in amusement. Despite being a mature adult, she still occaasionally gives in to her pup tendancies.

Taking advantage of the undergrowth, Sandy hides in the vegetation instead of giving chase. Sandy waits and bursts out with a feriocious snarl before laughing.

Ruby watches the drongos fly around with interest for a brief moment. They interested her.

PK and Sacha look around warily.

Carnation jumps and utters a startled yelp as Sandy bursts out from the vegetation. Her fur had ruffled up thinking it was predator launching a suprise attack on her. She lets her fur down and laughs along with Sandy, quite amused by pup's adorable cleverness.

Sandy churrs in amusement and begins to groom Carnation, as if sorry for scaring her.

Carnation nuzzles Sandy as a way of accepting her apology. She grooms her back, engaging her in a bond growing grooming session.

Sandy begins to relax during the grooming session. Playing all day has taken it's toll.

Carnation grooms along Sandy's back. She too begins to feel worn out from the exhausting play.

Sandy grooms Carnation's shoulder, ridding her fur of any ticks and fleas caught in the fur during playtime.

Carnation utters churrs of thanks to Sandy for removing the irritating parasites from her fur. She returns the favor by removing a few ticks that had latched on to Sandy's side during their play.

Something startles Sandy from grooming. It's a bird of prey-or a vulture. She chirps at Carnation asking her what it is and if it is a threat or not.

Maple looks up, spotting the bird of prey. She gulps, at first attempting to see what kind of bird it was. If it was a threat, they had to get back in the burrow. But if it was harmless, they could very well ignore it. She continued to attempt to figure out if the bird was a threat or not.

Carnation looks up and becomes terrified by the bird of prey shaped silhouetted figure. As it flew into the light, it becomes apparent that it's a vulture. She sighs in relief and her heart rate slows down. She churrs softly to Sandy assuring her it's a harmless vulture on the prowl for any scraps that could be left over from a dead animal in the vicinity

Sandy's fur smooths down and her worry goes away as Carnation reassures her that it's just a vulture.

PK watches the vuluture briefly before turning back to scanning the area for actual threats.

Maple relaxes once she saw it was only a vulture. As ugly and intimidating these birds looked, they were luckily harmless. She sighs in relief and looks around, wondering what to do.

Sandy hungrily digs into the ground. She doesn't remember the last time she's eaten, and she's staving.

Carnation, feeling hungry, begins to scour the earth for delicious morsels. Ironically, The brief scare has built up her apetite.

PK looks around, wondering when they'd be led out to foraging.

Sacha also starts foraging around the burrow.

Ruby continues scanning the area.

Sandy uncovers a millipede, rolls it in the sand to rid of it's disgusting toxins, breaks it in half with her teeth and claws, and offers one half to Carnation.

Sacha digs, eager to find something to eat.
