As I just had another request for the addition of story mobs I think we are going to need to keep track of what ID letters everyone is using or start using a completely separate code system.

Ok these are all the ID codes for groups that I am currently aware of. I have checked signatures, Linklu and have included the main ones from here too. I have highlighted potential clashes but we may have unique examples like for comic mobs only where characters wont migrate however some will likely find their way to us here at DW and some members may insist that the original ID codes for their characters be used. It might seem a pain but I too was unaware that my code clashed with one of Pancake's so I will have to find a new code or rename.
What do you all think is this list helpful? or am I just being over the top again :S

EDIT - Night is it ok that I changed Survivors (SU) to SR instead only as Stormy's Summits also of SU have come across from Stargazers website?

Yes, that change is fine with me LM, I forgot Pan was using SV for the Savages, now I didn't know SU was being used. XD So yes, SR is fine. ^^

Also, I made a typo with the FE's dominant female's name, its Elicina, not Elicia (I always forget that darn "n"). XD If you could change that for me too in the mob's description, I'd really be grateful, otherwise I'd do it myself if I could. But I can't. ^^;

Ok the list has got even longer as I have found even more on Linklu and have no idea whether they are currently in use, changed codes or aren't active anymore.

We on DW do need to be considerate of all these but I'm worried that we are going to have to police this supposedly fun section of the site and be really strict about coding, people are going to get annoyed about codes being used by mistake, being 'stolen' or who ownership claims.
I don't think anyone wants this, I know I certainly don't and don't want to have to see any member leave or feel uncomfortable because their story mob data is ruined or now creates a migrating conflict into Linklu or another sister site/story mob.

What do we think is best for DW?

* Do we want to only use RP prefix for any type of group where yes definitely members want to migrate characters in and out of? especially to Linklu
(These groups would need strict rules applied to them that their coding MUST always follow the V.long list so in no way shape or form is anyone using the group identifier letters that follow 'RP')

* For those story/comic/data only mobs where no migration out of the group to sister sites occurs and is contained to itself or to DW would it be easier instead of giving them the RP prefix to create a new one.

eg, Joe Blogg's Crimson Tears story mob (CT) -
*Initially I would think oh dear..sorry RPCT is used to identify Comets. Then comes the really frustrating trying to find another name or code.
If no migrating was going to occur and this was just a code to organise their data could we create something like JBCT code instead. Where the first initials are the member. Like for me...LM, or YK Yoshkat, PC Pancake etc etc.

I think I might do this then worry about causing a coding conflict. Then I can free up those I have 'claimed' because it wont matter that AA or ZZ are used by someone else..
Nobody is going to be LMPTP000....
and this way both Night and Yoshkat could have shared 'RPFE' being NTFE and YKFE ^^ (yey for sharing)

Oooh, I like the idea of utilizing user initials too. =3 It should avoid any conflicts and confusion if everyone agrees to put this into effect.

I'm glad you all like the idea, I think it will be so much easier for a massive majority of the story groups and I'm totally ok if a coding conflict does occur for one character to have 2 codes on the database. MG already does because I made the story group after her.
If you all want to have a think about your story mob list and message me any again you final code decisions I'll gladly make the admin changes for you on your groups and I will divide up the long list to amend any RP groups to user initial ones.

And I just realized I've been doing the coding wrong. ^^; Been doing it based on the number of females/males, not by their actual numbers. I made a bouquet of whoopise daisies. XD I'll have to fix that later..
