Roleplay - 19th September

Trotting along with her tail held high, Josephine carried the dead scorpion in her mouth with its pincers swaying in rhythm with her footsteps. Stopping and sanding up on her back legs she looked around for the two males. Seeing Tank she headed in his direction hoping there where there was one there was the other.

Tank sees Josephine returning this time with a scorpion in her mouth and barks to his brother. Lancaster looks up from the ants colony and smiles as he sees her with the scorpion.

Josephine makes an attempt to call back to Tank but the sound is almost muffled by the scorpion she’s carrying. Cautiously she approaches the brother’s once again, watching all the while for any sudden movements. Carefully setting it down on the sand, she calls to Lancaster before taking a few steps backwards.

Tank has his back to Josephine as he scans for danger in the other direction and fails to hear her call. Lancaster hears Josephine's call and sees the scorpion she layed down for him. He chirps a thank you to her and happily munches on it. Tank sees Josephine and chirps(Thank you for helping my brother. We really appreciate it)

Josephine gently called back to Tank Glad I could help and sat down on the warm sand smiling at Lancaster as he ate the scorpion. Even though as much as she wanted to help she knew she couldn’t stay all day, she needed to find a new group or would have to face another day alone in the harsh desert.

Tank smiles at Josephine. He hopes she gets accepted into the Willows. She seems like a sweet meerkat and would make a great addition to the Willows. But if she isnt accepted he wishes her luck on her journey. Lancaster finishes the scorpion. He too hopes that Josephine gets accepted into the group. He chirps offering her to stay with them.

Flattered by the gesture, Josephine sighed. She’d love to accept the offer but without a dominant female’s permission she knew it would only be a temporary home. Her track record with past dominants wasn’t exactly perfect. Seeing Lancaster finish she jumped up from the sand Another? She chirped questioningly to him.

Tank wishes that she could stay with them but knows it's going to be up to Buckeye whether she could stay or not. Lancaster chirps (Sure and thanks again).

Tuck looked at Cheyenne. She was very creepy.

Lithium looked up and saw Dusk, surprised. Finally, a Midnight member! But his heart sank. Dusk was lost too? He shook his head. No idea.

Josephine barked excitedly and darted off into the grass again. Taking her time she sniffed the earth in the near vicinity of the burrow but had no luck in finding a scorpion.
Sighing she took herself slightly further a field and stumbled upon a small mound of earth that had recently been disturbed. Digging in the loose sand she found two medium sized eggs and quickly sounded an alert to Tank and Lancaster. This would give him strength..


Sighing at Lithium’s reply Dusk’s heart sank, Maybe it was serious and the Midnight’s dominant male was all that was left..No!! I couldn’t be. Shaking himself out of his thoughts, he looked at Cheyenne and tried to accept the idea that she might have to be Teetsie’s replacement.

Leaf sat only a few meters away watching the small group socialise. Who were they? Would they let her join?

Cheyenne sat down. She knew that she couldn't replace Teetsie, she knew her.

ooc: How can she know Teetsie?

bic: Clover blinked and decided to try to find some food for Lithium.

Tank hears Josephine's call and calls to Lancaster to follow. The 2 males padded over to where they heard Josephine and discovered the eggs she found. Lancaster peeped happily helping himself to some of the eggs. Tank smiles happy that his brother has an appetite knowing that if he eats it'll make him feel much better and give him more strength to recover.

Smiling at the brothers, Josephine climbed up a nearby bush and acted as a sentry to allow Tank and Lancaster to eat as much as they wanted without having to worry.

Tank and Lancaster look up at Josephine as she takes sentry duty and smile back. Feeling safe Lancaster gets back to foraging but Tank isn't really hungry and takes sentry on the ground scanning the horizon.

Josephine scans the horizon and then looks up at the sky..Nothing but blue.

Lithium shook his head. The Midnights were alright.. As far as he knew. He was just lost himself. He glanced at Cheyenne and narrowed his eyes, grumbling mutinously.

Tank turns a 360 getting a good look at all the surroundings. So far everything seems safe. Lancaster spots a dung beetle walking by snatches up in his mouth then gulps it down joyfully.

Josephine relaxed her duty for a couple of minutes and watched Lancaster below with a affectionate smile.

Relieved to hear that the Midnights were alright, Dusk chirped to Lithium and began to groom his shoulder. Whilst grooming he spotted movement in the grass out of the corner of his eye.

Lancaster notices Josephine smiling at him and smiles back. Tank keeps his eyes on the horizon.

Tuck looked at Dusk. He seemed friendly.

Clover nodded and smiled warmly.

At the foraging party, Miley was on sentry duty, but so far had spotted nothing. HEr brother Crash was foraging near her, and happily munched on a millipede.
Keeko had eaten, and was sitting by Buckeye.

Lithium groomed Dusk back, then looked up, sensing someone.
