Roleplay- 23rd October

Ninja forages under a bush. He finds an ant hill and starts picking off the ants as they storm out to defend their colony. Ants aren't very nutritious or filling but anything edible shouldn't go to waste at this time of year.

Mischka uses his slightly gained strength to plow into the ground. He pulls up a lizard and devours it ravenously. His second course of food brings more strength to his body but he still feels weak and tires easily. He hopes his fragile health is only because he hasn't eaten much in the past week and isn't developing a disease.

Duke gets back to sentry duty. If Mischka is carrying a disease, the entire mob could be destroyed. He will have to wait and see if he recovers or not.

Ninja pads to the side of the bush where he continues to forage. He's lost his interest and apetite towards the ants and hopes he finds something more tastier and nutricious over here.

Mischka sits for a few minutes to gain some strength before continuing on. After pacing himself, he returns to foraging and finds some beetle larvae. He inhales them quickly.

Foraging in the shade of a bush, Rumpel Teaser spots the new members and chirps to them.

Ninja and Mischka look up from foraging as they hear Rumple Teaser's chirp. They smile warmly at him.

Dahoma chirps to the new members.

Kamaria is unaware of the two new males.

Ninja peeps to Dahoma introducing himself. He hopes to make friends while settling down in the group.

Mischka lets out a shy peep. He's still a little nervous about being around so many new meerkats and hopes none of them become hostile torwards him

Dahoma smiles at the new comers.

Both males smile back at Dahoma then get back to foraging.

Dahoma peeps hungrily.

Wichita seeing the hungry Dahoma pads over to him and gives him half a millipede that she had just cleaned. Then Wichita eats her half and goes back to doing sentry duty.

Dahoma peeped a thanks to Wichita and continued to bother other adults for food. he could dig, but usually his food was gone by the time he dug a hole.

Aliya walks over to Dahoma and drops a beetle at his paws. She smiles and then gets back to foraging.

Little Boy gets off his post and starts to forage, feeling hungry.

Emzio eats a beetle larvae quickly.

Duke continues to stare at Mischka. Maybe he was just weak from hunger. He looks at the ground, smelling something, and begins to dig.

Dahoma eats the beetle his mother gave him.

Duke uncovers a beetle and instead of eating it, offers it to Mischka. Maybe some food will help him.

Kamaria sniffed the air, she thought she could smell a jackal...

Duke returns to foraging for himself after offering the beetle to Mischka. He's still unaware of the events that have occured at the burrow.

Suri sees Kamaria smelling the air and does the same. She thought she could smell one too. She creeps towards the entrance the check...

Aliya eats a scorpion quickly.

Duke unearths a scorpion and eats it before anyone else can. In tough times like this, a hungry meerkat will do anything for food, even steal from a dominant. He continues to dig after finishing his meal.

ooc: WHo's the other babysitter?

Having spent what seemed like hours foraging fruitlessly, Mischka drops to his haunches panting and with his front paws throbbing sorely from digging furiously. He isn't sure if he can continue on any longer and with having no luck finding food, he's thinking of just giving up for the day. As he goes to hunch over from exhaustion, he sees a beetle get dropped at his feet. He blinks, his eyes widen in relief. Finally something more that will give him much needed strength and that will hopfully satisfy his hunger for the rest of the day. He looks up to see that it was Duke who offered it to him. Mischka smiles and peeps a thank you to Duke. Then devours the beetle quckly.

Having gotten his fill for the day, Ninja is now on sentry duty, posted on the thick branch of a small tree. He intently scans the horizon and sky for any sign of danger. He seems to be taking the task very seriously. He wants to prove to the Jumaa that he and Mischka can be vaulable and reliable members to the group.

Duke finishes up foraging as well. He takes note that the day is nearing it's end. It's still a little early to head back, but they should soon. He's eager to return to his young pups.

Unaware of the presence of pups that could possibly be in danger at the Jumaa's main burrow, Ninja adjusts his sentry pose from standing straightly balanced on his hind legs and tail to sitting on his haunches and placing his front paws in front of him on the branch. He peeps the watchman's song letting the group know the landscape is clear of suspicious animals so far.

Mischka moves to the underneath of a bush. He's deciding to take a break from foraging to rest. Hopefully he'll feel much better afterwards.
