Carnation is asleep nestled up to Luke.

Joey watches his pups with pride.

Smudge and Mellow Yellow sleep in the burrow, curled around each other. Acacia sleeps in a nearby bolt hole.

Carnation is awakened by the adorable cries of the newborn pups. She sits up, groggy. She's excited to want to see them but takes a few minutes to wake up.

Smuge wakes, hearing the newborns, and is excited at the prospect of more playmates.

Carnation becomes impatient waiting for herself to wake up and makes her way over to Starburst's pups, still half asleep. She bumps into the burrow wall, too tired to pay attention to where she's going.

PK decides to emerge. He might worry about looking at the pups later.

Kal is already above ground, not concerned about a new litter.

Sacha is still asleep.

Carnation reaches the chamber where Starburst and her pups are and smiles adoringly at the little bundles of joy. She can't wait to participate with helping the Oreos care for, protect and mentor the next generation.

Joey looks at the four of them. finally, he was a father.

PK stands sentry and looks around.

Kal sits on his haunches, lazily.

Sacha wakes up and emerges.

Sandy yawned and opened her eyes. Though she was still tired, she couldn't fall back asleep. Sandy rested her head on her paws and watched as the other Oreos woke up.

Carnation sits outside the chamber, her eyes still glued on the pups admiringly. She hopes to some day have some of her own.

Sandy heard the squeaking of pups much younger than her and made her way to the chamber where the newborn pups were, sniffing curiously at the new members of the Oreos. Plus, she was no longer the youngest in the mob!

Carnation looks down at Sandy happy now that she'll have more playmates to play games with once their old enough.

Sunny looked at the pups warmly.

Carnation looks back at the pups smiling greatfully.

Kal raises an eyebrow at a drongo that flies near the ground.

Kit Kat nuzzles close to her mother.

Akina had heard about the new pups and was also very excited, but decided to wait until they were bigger and out of the burrow before meeting them. She came above ground and sat in the sun.

Erevu sat above ground too. He sighed, it was weird that his cousins had siblings (even if they are only half siblings)that weren't also his cousins.

Carnation is enjoying watching the pups nestle up to their mother. She could spend all day watching the adorable activities the pups engage in even when the activities they do when they can't hear or see.

Smudge goes to see the pups. He's never seen newborn pups before as he's still very young. Mellow Yellow continues to sleep, locked in a dream.

Kal grooms himself.

PK looks around for Flare.

Sacha looks over at Akina, wondering where Groyvle was.

Watching the pups reminds Carnation of her own puphood but unlike these pups, her first few months of life were perilous. She remembers little of her evicted mother who was taken by a martial eagle when she was a month old and soon after that, her littermate brothers were also killed by the same predator, who was nesting in the vicinity. She had struggled to survive on her own through out her puphood. Meraculously she made it to adulthood. She hopes for these pups, life is alot more tranquil.

Smudge is still watching the newborn pups. Meanwhile, Mellow Yellow wakes up from his dream, realises that Smudge isn't beside him and goes to try and find him.
