Roleplay- 25th of November

Duke follows next to Aliya.

Linda nods and gets up. She exits the bolthole and trots to catch up. Having had a nap and a good meal, she feels a lot better than on the way to the foraging patch, and keeping up may not be as hard this time.

Ninja exits the bolt hole seconds after Linda and follows close behind her to catch up to the group. He winces slightly as a hunger pain grips his stomach and it slightly slows him down also. It comes to his scenses that he shouldn't put himself in the same starvation predicament he nearly faced about a year ago. He may decide to forage a little later or at least before the day is out, that is if the storm doesn't last the rest of the day. Otherwise he may be forced to wait until tomorrow to forage.

Linda hears Ninja's wince and peeps to him, concerned.

Ninja looks up at Linda assuringly, insisting that he'll be fine. He just feels a little weak from hunger but once he forages later he should be back to full strength.

Aliya sees a decent looking burrow in the distance. She quickly runs to it and scans the area. Then she quickly goes below ground to check for any threats.

Suri follows Aliya, wary.

Emzio stays at the entrance of the burrow.

Duke follows right behind Aliya. She may be carrying his pups once more, so he's there to protect her.

Linda sighs relieved when the walk ends up to be a short one. She notices a drop of water land right next to her, but stays above ground for her own safety incase something dangerous resides inside.

Ninja arrives at the burrow but decides to stand gaurd outside the entrance to keep a look out for predators and rival meerkat groups.

After looking through all of the tunnels, Aliya is assured the burrow is safe. She re-emerges from the burrow and sounds an 'all clear.'

Suri emerges again, not bothered by the fact it might start raining.

Emzio also stays above ground for a moment.

Ninja is relieved to hear the all clear sounded. The burrow will provide them with safty and warmth from the storm if it directly hits their area. He doesn't head below ground immediately and decides to stay above ground for a little while to watch the storm.

Conker dashes into the burrow to get away from the ominously scary looking storm but it doesn't help much in getting rid of the scary sounding thunder. He shudders as he hears a loud clap above ground.

Kinkajou Also Stays Above Ground And Sits Next To Emzio . She watches The Thunder But Its Nothing New .

Duke starts scent-marking the burrow to officially claim it as their new one. He comes out and starts scent-marking the surrounding area as well.

Linda heads into the burrow to take a look herself. She'll be giving birth in this burrow in just a matter of days, and she wants to make sure it's the perfect evironment to rear newborn pups.

Kamaria watches the black boiling clouds from a distance. This was nothing new, but always seemed to captivate her everytime one came around.

Linda emerges, deeming the new burrow to be safe to give birth in. She walks over to Kamaria and offers some grooming. She still thinks making nice with the mob's other pregnant females provides the best chances, even though it failed with Maylene.

Ninja doesn't notice Linda head into the burrow to investigate and is watching the distant storm with interest. He's always been fascinated with lightning but at the same time has also been frightened by it. He grits his teeth as he sees a bolt hit the ground in the distance. It's a good thing being 12 inches tall because it gives him security knowing lightning can rarely hit him. He glances at Linda as she exits the burrow and smiles with excitement. She'll be giving birth at this burrow in several days and the arrival of the storm means that they'll be born at a good time of year.

Kinkajou Spots Linda But Just Sighs She Lies Down And Rests Her Head On Her Paws , She Looks Off into The Distance Blankly .

Linda smiles back at Ninja and approaches, grooming his neck gently. She sits down and continues the grooming.

Kinkajou Sees Them And Sighs Thinking She Might Leave To Look For Another Group .

Ninja nuzzles Linda lovingly and returns the grooming. He doesn't notice Kinkajou eyeing them jealously and thinking about leaving the group.

Conker is curled into a ball deep in the bolt hole, shiving in fear as thunder occassionally crashes above ground.

Duke starts working on their new home by cleaning it out.

Linda wraps her arms around Ninja and churrs in delight as he returns the grooming. She grooms his back, oblivious to Kinkajou's thoughts.

Ninja wraps his arms around Linda in an affectionate hug and grooms along her neck. He makes content churrs while grooming her.

Linda churrs as Ninja grooms her neck. A raindrop lands on her snout and she shakes to get it off. She looks up at the sky, seeing the storm as only the ugly bringer of a beautiful and food-rich wet season.

Kinkajou Gets Up And Pads Away Its Time TO Look For A New Group , She Happily Pads Off Jumaa Territory .

Ninja blinks as he saw the raindrop land on Linda's snout. Soon he feels one drop on his back and tries to reach the spot where it landed. He hated to get wet but he also sees the rain as being a life giving gift and the sign of easy times to come for the Jumaa and other meerkat groups out there. He doesn't notice Kinkajou leaving.

Linda helps clean the rain drop off, just as another raindrop falls, and another, and another, and another... It's starting to drizzle. She shakes to get the rain drops off but they keep falling. She's unaware that Kinkajou has left.

Ninja shakes his fur trying to keep it dry but it keeps getting wet as the raindrops begin to come down lightly. He crouches down as a flash of lightning hits close by. It appears the storm is moving closer to their location.
