Luna emerged with a solemn face. Recently her son had died. he was indeed the runt of the litter, and ended up starving. Luna was having a hard time coming by food, and it resulted in the death of her son. Bluebelle wasn't faring much better. She was a bit worried that she would loose her pups.

Ashtail was still asleep in the burrow, her body protectively curled around two of Tank's pups, Triscuit and Snicker. She truthfully had been enjoying bonding with the two. It was the closest thing she could have to children, despite them not being her own. However, it was close. She yawns a little, opening her eyes and lifts her head up as the sunlight shone in the burrow. She blinks from the brightness and stretches her limbs out carefully, as not to disturb Triscuit and Snicker.

Triscuit is sound asleep, huddled against Ashtail for warmth and comfort. She has developed a close bond with the nurturing female and has begun to see her as a mother figure. Maylene was rarely there for her and her siblings nor did she know her much so it didn't take her long to become close to an unrelated female willing to take her in as her own.

Tank grunts as the sun's brightness shines into his eyes. He struggles to open them against the beaming light but eventually manages to open them wide. He slowly gets to his feet, shaking some sand out of his fur, then begins navigating his way towards the burrow entrance, being careful not to disturb any still sleeping meerkats along the way.

Lancaster is sound asleep. Over the past week, he's been catering to Damien's every need. He even put aside foraging for himself to tend to Damien, and at times he has exhausted himself to the point of collapsing. It comes to show just how much he's dedicated to wanting to help someone in need. Without any complaints or protests, he'd jump in to helping any meerkat in need of compassion and support. What a compassionate meerkat he can be.

Luna decides to actually be useful for the day and drops down to all fours to hastily clean out the entrance to the Willows burrow.

Bravo emerges and begins to sun himself. By now he's learned to move on and accept his sister and her litter are gone for good. He'll never forgive Ninja though, and plans to someday kill him.

Ariel is next out and skips around joyfully.

Tank emerges and begins cleaning the burrow slope with Luna.

Ashtail smiles faintly as she looked at Triscuit and Snicker, snuggled and asleep against her fur. She began to gently groom the two pups, riding any pests that collected onto them during the night. She's slowly learning to reveal her more gentle and caring side, thanks to the two pups. And she found herself liking it. But she still didn't feel she completely changed. She only showed this side to Triscuit and Snicker. And even some times, to Tank, as he was their father.

Snicker is asleep by Triscuit and Ashtail.

Meg is also asleep.

Buckeye emerges and scans the area warily.

Snowflake emerges and looks around happily.

Jackie is with Damien.

ooc: Meerkats, how many pups did buckeye have?

Triscuit mews softly in her sleep. She's having a pleasant dream where her and her littlermates are playing peacefully in a beatiful field of Devil's Thorn flowers.

Tank finishes tending to the burrow slope. He stretches out his slightly sore muscular limbs before positioning himself straight up on his haunches to sun himself.

Lancaster lays awake across from Damien. He grins widely glad to see he seems to be improving as each day passes.

Bravo looks into the burrow. They have another litter to bolster their number. The problem is, the number of adults has been shrinking, but the number of pups is still rising. He sighs. He could only imagine the benefits and tragedies that may have occured had his sister been allowed to haveher pups here.

Luna nods to Tank as he lends a paw in helping her clean out the Willow's burrow entrance. She thinks it looks good enough and backs off, shaking a little sand off of her pale colored back as she goes. She pads over to Tank and grooms him a bit in thanks. Luna hasn't been groomed in a while, and Tank and his brother have both proved to be loyal friends.

Tank churrs, glad to have helped Luna. He notes her fur is infested with ticks and fleas and offers her relief by nibbling them off. It's a shame she hadn't been groomed in a while. No meerkat deserves to be left to suffer the discomfort of fleas and ticks eating at their skin, especially if they're a friend.

Bravo comes over and helps in grooming Luna. The survival of at least some of her litter has made him think what chances his nephews and nieces would have had in this mob... he should stop thinking about it. They're gone for good.

Ashtail finishes grooming Triscuit and Snicker. She looks toward the entrance of the burrow, stretching out again. Hopefully the two would be waking up soon. She didn't want to risk disturbing the two.

Triscuit slowly opens her eyes. She yawns, stretching herself out then glances up at Ashtail smiling vibrantly. She feels energized after that good long night's sleep.

ooc: We'll say Buckeye had three.

bic: Buckeye goes below ground once again to check on her pups. They were only very young and with other female's pups also taking up the burrow's room, she didn't want anyone to harm her pups to give their pups a higher chance of survival.

Snicker is still asleep.

Meg awakens. She drowsily emerges and looks around happily.

Snowflake scans the area warily.

Ashtail smiles back at Triscuit and licks the little pup on the top of her head. Now Snicker had to wake up. Out of the two, he seemed to be the more lazy one, especially if he slept longer than the other pups!

ooc- When today should we have the battle?

((OOC: Good question... I was wondering that myself.))

ooc: Well since Ghost is planned to appear and kill Triscuit, maybe we can have that happen as they're foraging and in the process of chasing Ghost, they unwittingly cross into Midnight's territory in the process of losing sight of him. That was the plan Night and I talked about on the previous RP day.

Triscuit giggles as she is licked on the top of her head. Hey that tickled! She glances over at her still snoozing brother Snicker with her eyes narrowed and a mischievous smirk formed on her face. She gently prods him with the tiny claws on her small right paw and giggles. She just had the urge to do that but also wanted to see if she can get a funny response from her sleeps like a rock brother.

ooc: Sounds good to me. Have Ghost kill Luna's unnamned pup as well, please. I know it wasn't planned, but they've gotten a bit too old in my mind to be adopted out.

Luna smiled at Buckeye as the dominant female went below to check on her two day old pups. The three new lives that had entered the group had increased numbers, but there wasn't anything wrong with that. yes, the size of the Willows was getting a bit uncomfortable, but Luna didn't have the heart to kill yet another pup. She decided to stay away from Buckeye, considering her reputation as a pup killer hadn't easily faded.

Taakah yawned, and stretched his back in an arch. He rose and stalked out into the sunlight, and shot nervous glances around. Being new was nerving. Instead of sunning, he turned his back to the sun and groomed himself, wishing for some company.

Tank watches Buckeye decend into the burrow with an excited smile. She must be heading below to check on her pups. Despite the clan's numbers hovering at super group status, the new bundles of joy are certainly a welcomed addition to the group and he can't wait for the oppertunity to be one of the proud gaurdians responsible for looking after and entertaining the cute little tykes. They've slightly bolstered the Willow's numbers and soon they'll prove to be a formidable force to be reackon with in battle with the added numbers.

Lancaster feels happy to have helped Damien pull through his snakebite. But at some point, there was a scare. Damien had vanished from the ranks. He's highly relieved he returned safe and uninjured. He certainly is lucky to be alive.
