Stormy emerged and scanned the area. Her stomach was bulging. With her litter due in a matter of days, she was on a war path. Stormy saw her group becoming overcrowded, and was going to evict more than one female today, Zola being her prime target. her pregnant sister was due shortly after her, and would be the master threat to Stormy's pups.

Corson is still asleep, curled in a fluffy ball. His chest slowly rises and lowers in relaxed and content breaths.

Lucifer, unaware of his mother being on the warpath, was still fast asleep.

Raine was already awake. She was sitting just inside the burrow, her eyes dancing around the bright light outside. She didn't feel like exposing her tiny self to the light just yet.

Corson opens his eyes with a satisfied grunt. He feels so refreshed this morning having had an undisturbed, slept right through the night, good night's sleep. He stretches out his front limbs, voluntarily churring in satisfaction, before plodding towards the burrow entrance. He emerges flashing his famous sinister smirk.

Squirrel is still asleep.

Malik emerges and looks around.

Corson slowly opens his eyes. Still groggy, he remains in his curled position until he's energized enough to get motivated.

Zola reluctantly emerged. She knew that Stormy would be waiting to attack Zola, putting her in her place. With both the sisters due so close together, this could spell disaster for Zola.

Malik watches Zola emerge. He notices her belly, but is unsure what to think. He hadn't been alive long enough to understand the 'law' of meerkat mobs.

Yamile ran over to Zola, she was too young to understand mob politics, but she could tell her mother was stressed. She nuzzled close to her in an attempt to reassure her.

Now boosting with energy, Corson gets to his feet while simultaneously stretching his limbs. He utters a pleasured grunt as it loosens up his stiff muscles. He briskly exits the burrow, and after planting himself on a sand lump, begins to bask in the sun pleasantly. He's aware of the tension between Zola and Stormy but could care less. Female politics aren't his buisness.

Squirrel watches Zola with worry. She didn't know much about meerkat politics, but knew enough to know pregnant females who were not dominant were in trouble.


Malik looks around for threats once again.

Unconcerned about Zola's fate, Corson, feeling like being responsible, takes up sentry duty with Malik and waits patiently to go foraging.

Inle snickers at Zola. Your end is near... He then breaks out in hysterical, evil laughter.

Scary just narrows his eyes at Zola.

Corson maintains a sharp watch for danger while waiting for the lead calls to be sounded.

Squirrel looks around, curiously, also waiting for the group to be led out.

Malik continues scanning the area, not letting anything distract him.

Corson keeps up his sharp watch. Occassionally though he does zone out and takes breaks to scratch itches that develop.

Stormy issues lead calls. Today she's all business, and is incredibly grumpy. It's only a matter of time before she attacks and evicts a female, probably Zola.

When he hears Stormy's lead calls, Corson immediately follows, eager to quell his hunger.

Gingersnap followed Stormy's lead calls.

Lucifer kept his head low, also in a sour mood, but he was looking forward to seeing anyone in the mob getting a beating. He didn't care who from or who gaining, he just knew his mother was ready to lash out at any female near her and he couldn't wait to see it.

Yamile stayed close to Zola, peeping nervously while eying her bizarre cousin. Though he didn't seem to notice or care.

Rex also followed, keeping an eye on the skies.

Squirrel eagerly follows Stormy.

Malik follows, looking around as he did. He wasn't going to let walking distract him. He felt as if his group depended on his vigilance.

Feeling like doing something responsible again, Corson helps Rex and Malik keep watch for predators. He focuses more on the sky since a briskly moving mob out in the open is likely to attract unwelcomed aerial attention.

Scary followed by Stormy... Inle followed Scary.

Corson continues survaying the sky. The only thing he sees riding the wind currents are a flock of drongos. Nothing to be concerned about. He proceeds keeping a sharp eye out for more concerning aerial creatures, such as martial eagels and hawks.

Malik continues looking around as he walks, always having that strange feeling that he's being watched.
