It sucks, but I end July 21st and go back September 5th

Kinkajou also relaxes after some grooming time with Mischka. But she still can't seem to push away the bad thoughts that are spinning around her head. By now she's convinced the Jumaa are doomed.

ooc: I thought you lived in Cardiff UK, I recall you mentioned about that place once.

Really? Doesn't sound like you get that much off but at least it's still a significant break off from boring school X3

bic: Mischka feels relaxed after the grooming session. For now, the calamities that had befallen the Jumaa are all but forgotten. But they will certainly return to plague him very shortly.

occ: Cardiff is in Wales, South Wales to be precise!

Kinkajou sighed softly and lay down. She closed her eyes and tried to drift off to sleep,but was to restless.

ooc: Ah, so that's where it's located.

Wow, I just realized Wales IS in the UK. I'm so blond XD I kept thinking it was near Norway, Sweeden and Finland O.o

That sucks D: You should pester them about adding more weeks to your vacation X3

Aliya paused her forging as she felt another sharp stab of pain from her stomach. She whined quietly. Why was her stomach hurting so much? She looked down at it, seeing two faint scars from when Teestie bit her belly. Instantly, she became worried about the litter within her. W... were the pups okay?

John also feels some pressure as he thought about all the misfortune the Jumaa had been experiencing lately. Why was this mob suffering so much? Had they angered the spirits of the desert, and they were causing this mob to suffer? He sighed softly, but continued his sentry duty.

Root was still grooming his sister, attempting to calm her down. But he couldn't blame her. All the stress from the misfortune the mob had been enduring was hard to bare. Even he felt the pressure, but he stayed strong. For Petal's sake.

Petal continued to silently sob, her body shaking. She wished all this misfortune would stop, and the mob could live in peace! Was that too hard to ask? It seemed so these last few weeks. She relaxed a little as Root kept up with his grooming.

Phoebe also had seen Ponda in his horrible condition. Frightened, she ran over to her parents and huddled against her mother Linda, whining. W... what had happened to Ponda?! She didn't know, and probably didn't want to know. She would become traumatized if she learned it was Ponda's own mother who caused such harm to him. She buries her face into Linda's stomach, trembling in fright.

Ninja glances down at his daughter, frowning. She must've saw the mangled body of Ponda. He suddenly develops the urge to tell her what happened but decides against it. Telling her that Ponda's own mother mercilessly attacked him would certainly traumatize her. It's best if Phoebe didn't know the reason to avoid psychologically scarring her for life.

Ninji feels numb at the moment and doesn't exactly know how to react. Seeing Ponda's mangled form was too grisly for a pup her age to be viewing but it didn't traumatize her. She's desperate to know how this happened to the poor boy. Was it a predator? A lone rival meerkat? She wants to know but finding out what happened could come at a cost. The explaination could damage her psycholocally if she finds out her "step mother" nearly killed her half brother.

ooc- When do you think Ninja will be healed enough from his injuries for the plot we talked about on Linklu?

ic- Linda bends down and gently grooms the top of her daughter's head to try and calm her down, peeping softly that things will be alright. Someday she fears they'll have to find out, but it's too soon now.

Duke looks at Aliya and peeps with concern. Is she okay?

Tyson runs to his parents as well, hiding from the burrow entrance and using his dad as cover.

ooc: I was thinking the RP day after the next. He should be healing well by then.

Ninja nuzzles Tyson to try to calm him, assuring him things will be fine even though he isn't so convinced after the many misfortunes the Jumaa have faced lately. He has a bad feeling another Calamity may be on the way. He worries silently to avoid further upsetting his distressed children.

Aliya looks at Duke and peeps, explaining since the war against the Midnights, her stomach had been hurting constantly. She worries when Teetsie bit her stomach, she must of done something to the unborn litter inside. She looks down at her stomach again, gazing at the faint bite scars from Teetsie. Had the evil Midnights dominant female gotten away with harming an unborn litter?

Ponda peeps weakly... He's alive but wounded... He crawls around slightly, calling for his dad.

Fly is frightened and scared by what she has found out has happened... She stays near Pheobe and the other pups...

Comet isn't quite sure what to think and stays near the entrance.

Deeply worried about his badly wounded son, Ponda, Ninja decends into the burrow to see if he's still holding on to life. Upon entering the tunnel, he's immediately overwhelmed by the smell of Ponda's blood which is potent in the air. A chill ripples down his spine and his heart rate elevates, fearing he may find his son bleeding out or worse....No. He can't think something so negative. Ponda is fine. He's fighting hard for his life. He just knows he is. Ninja needs to remain positive and maintain having faith for his son. Ponda will pull through this. He just has to stay strong. He's a charished member of this group. Surely he knows this. For his blood family and for the Jumaa mob he NEEDS to keep his grip on the will to survive. As Ninja makes his way through the complex of tunnels, he can hear Ponda calling for him. He gives out a sigh of relief, elated to know he's concious. Ninja moves briskly through the tunnels, desperate to reach Ponda. He can feel his own wounds begining to burn intensely again but he does his best to ignore the discomfort. For now, he's focused on making sure Ponda is ok.

As he saw Aliya shift her body, Mischka just now notices the faint bite wounds on her stomach. The site of those scars makes his heart sink and concerns him immensely. She must've sustained those injuries during the battle with the Midnights. His breathing increases and becomes shaky, fearing those injuries may have proven fatal to Aliya's unborn litter.

Ninji is mingling by Fly and her siblings, thinking about Ponda, praying that he pulls through his suffering. She's unaware Aliya's unborn pups' lives may be hanging in the balance.

Phoebe does calm down a little as Linda groomed her. But she was worried about Ponda. W... Would he be okay? She doesn't realize he was her half brother, but either way, she wanted him to live. H... He had to!

ooc- Can you please not post in color? It's hard to read.

ic- Linda is too distracted trying to tend to her pups to notice the newcomer.

Duke is underground, still focused on Aliya.

Aliya whined, deeply concerned for the unborn litter within her. She fears Teetsie may of done great harm to the unborn pups. She looks at Duke again, her facial expression showing how worried and scared she was. She feared if the pups were born, some would be dead.

John spots the male and sounds an alarm to inform some of those who were up above ground before he went to investigate. This male seemed submissive. It seemed he wanted a home. He looked around for Duke. Seeing him no where in sight, he must be underground.

Root hears John and looks over, spotting Ouija. He appeared submissive, so, Root wasn't feeling scared. He wanted a home, it seemed. He stayed with Petal, still comforting her. He licked her gently, licking some of her tears away. Its gonna be okay Petal... It'll be okay...

Petal closed her eyes as Root continued to comfort her. She couldn't help but giggle a little as he licked her cheeks, licking away some of the tears that escaped from her chocolate-colored orbs. She cuddled against him, knowing she can always count on her older brother to calm her down.

Mischka is startled out of his grim thoughts as John emitted an alarm call. Thinking the biological air raid siren was sounded for a predator, he glances around frantically, trying to locate the "threat". Upon looking over to his right, he spots a scarred stranger approaching the group, Ouija. He cringes at the sight of his nasty scars. He starts to feel sympathy for the male. He must have been through a terrible ordeal which resulted in him earning those painful looking scars. Poor male. Mischka notices Ouija is acting submissive, an indication that he's come here seeking acceptance. He glances over at Duke as it is his job to decide whether Ouija can immegrate in or will have to continue his life as a solitary male.

Ninji looks at John as she heard the alarm call emit from him, her eyes following the adults' gazes over to Ouija. She stares at him curiously, noticing the strange looking markings on his face. What are those rough looking black things on his face? She tips her head to the side, curious about this stranger.

Saffron looks at Aliya

Linda calls her pups to her. He seeems friendly, but with three pups murdered and two more severely injured you can take no chances.

Duke hears the alarm and emerges, spotting the lone male right away. He walks to this stranger in a domineering way, curious on his intent.

Mischka watches John and Ouija interact feeling at ease. It seems what he desires is to be back in the fold of a mob. He's confident Duke will give him that chance. It'd be unlike the usually lenient, compassionate and gregarious male to reject a nomad in need. As he saw Duke confront the extremely submissive intruder, he watches feeling a little tense as he awaits the dominant male's verdict.

Ninji watches Ouija curiously, tipping her head from side to side every now and then with interest. If the adults trust him, then there's no need to be wary of this trespasser. He seems trustworthy to her. As she gets older, she'll learn about who to trust and who could endanger her life.

Ninja is unaware of Ouija being on the premises and is now in the chamber harboring his son Ponda. He has his body wrapped around him, trying to comfort him. He prays his son pulls through his desperately injured status.

Aliya followed her mate, wincing a little from her stomach, but chose to ignore it. She stayed near the burrow entrance as she watched Duke approach a new male. He looked harmless enough, and was seeking a home from his submissive position. She watched to see if her mate would accept or reject Quija.

John blinked. While that was flattering, he shook his head, peeping and explaining he wasn't the dominant male, he was merely a subordinate male. Spotting Duke approaching, he moves aside to allow him to examine Quija. In John's book, this male seemed harmless. But his fate was in Duke's paws.

Root and Petal watched, wondering if Duke would turn Quija away, or accept him. They haven't seen Duke reject any male yet. And Quija didn't look like the type to stir up trouble.

Saffron bit Ouija's tail playfully

Mischka watches in amusement as Saffron playfully interacted with Ouija. He trusts the male wouldn't dare lay a claw on the youngster, but just incase, he has his gaurd up anyway. They know nothing about this stranger or what he could be capable of. In a harsh place such as the Kalahari, you can never be too cautious.

Watching Saffron interact with Ouija influences Ninji to make an approach towards him. She bounds up to him, smiling gregariously.
