Roleplay - 28th of August, 2009

Ages of those under one year:
Inle ...... Will have to check with Pancake, I think I made another mistake.
Tallulah, Nakpana, unamed ..... 24 days. (therefore newly emerged.)

Due Dates:
Teetsie and Simmons litter: 10th of September.

Teetsie emerged, and stood up to face the sun. He stomach was quite large now; it wouldn't be long before she would give birth.
Below ground, Mae was with her pups. She had given birth about three weeks ago to three pups. She hugged them tightly, never wanting to let go.
Click, her mate and the pup's father, watched on proudly.

Dusk and Dawn sniffed the new arrivals. Pups to play with! And with a bigger family comes bigger responsibilities.

Mae smiled at Dawn and Dusk. One of her pups, Tallulah, looked up at them with big, round eyes.
Teetsie came storming in. She chrred at the others, and scent marked them, before returning to the surface.

Lithium was next to smell the pups. He was so happy!

Mae stood up, and chirped to her pups. She headed to the surface. Tallulah bounded after her mother.
Click emerged, and began to clean the burrow mouth.

Inle watches the pups with his creepy glare. Ah... And would this mean more doom? He laughs evilly in a puppish way.

ooc: I'd like to adopt the unnamed pups...

ooc: Cool. What do you want it to be named?
Also, there is a list of pups up for adoption in the "Adoption Centre" forum.

bic: Tallulah walked over to Inle. She chirped. Was he talking about her?

Inle narrows his eyes. Maybe...

ooc: I'll just post there, then.

Tallulah tilted her head, confused.
Teetsie chirped, a little irritated. Was everyone ready?

Inle leaped up, he was ready... Oh yes... He was...

Lithium tucked the pups in the burrow and took guard at the entrance.

Dusk and Dawn stayed below with the pups. They would be today's volunteer babysitters.

Teetsie chirped thanks to Dawn and Dusk, and then lead the group out.
Tallulah watched the group go. Sh elonged to go out with them. It won't be too long before I join them!

Inle follows quickly.

Nukpana gave a small laugh at his sister's comment, with narrowed eyes, and looked away.

Tallulah grinned at Nakpana. She looked up at Dawn and Dusk.

Dawn nuzzled the pups, and tried to provide them with some milk. She was lactating now. Soon after, dusk led her sister and his new family up to the mouth of the burrow for some sun.

Tallulah chrred thankfully to Dawn. At least there were some advantages of staying home!
Meanwhile at the foraging party, Teetsie was foraging intently. With her pups due soon, no food would be wasted.

When Dusk and Dawn got to the top of the summit, they sat down and let the pups play in the vicinity.

At the foraging party, Lithium took up centry.

Tallulah looked up at Dawn and Dusk, and lay down in the shade.
Her mother Mae was keeping out of Teetsie's way. She feared what Teetsie would do.

Lithium stopped to groom Teetsie. The fact that she was carrying pups from a different litter annoyed him, but he worked hard to stay by her side.

Bored, Dusk decided to lead the pups around the burrow. As Dawn took guard at the entrance, Dusk made lead calls.

Tallulah followed Dusk eagerly. Maybe he would take them out foraging!
Teetsie groomed Lithium back. The fact that he was annoyed that these were Simmons pups didn't bother her at all.

Dusk began foraging in a soft patch of sand and rcovered a millipede. He broke it up and gave each pup a sliver.

Tallulah ate hungrily, even more eager to go foraging. She jumped up, and pleaded to Dusk.

Nukpana gave a little snicker as he ate.

Inle dug viciously, eating his finds in the same way, leaving tiny scraps about. (lol!)

Haha!

Dusk called to Dawn and decided taht the pups should explore a little more. With Dusk taking the front, and Dawn the rear, the two babysitters led the pups out for a bit of exercise and fod. They kept their lead calls going, making sure none of the pups got lost. But they made sure not to move too far away from the burrow.
