Roleplay - 28th of August, 2009

With a little, playful, pupish snarl, Nukpana followed.

Tallulah bounded after Dusk and Dawn, chrring happily.
Click watched Inle eat, suprised by the way he eats.

Dusk soon stopped the party. He spotted movement in the diatnce. He called to Sawn, who came next to him to investigate. It looked liek a rival gang. With little time to get back to the burrow, the babysitters led their youngsters to a nearby bolthole.

Tallulah looked up, not fully understanding the danger. She peeped loudly to Dawn and Dusk.
Teetsie was sitting in the shade. She was unaware of the danger the pups were facining. Mae sat nearby, a little edgey. She couldn't shake off the feeling that something bad would happen.

As Dawn led the pups below ground, Dusk stayed above. If the rival group attacked, he would be ready to guard his family with his life.

Lithium tried to calm his group with scent marking and chirping.

Mae chirped to Lithium. She was fine. Click sat by her and tried to groom her to calm her.
Tallulah followed Dawn into the burrow. She still didn't understand what was wrong, but she had picked up on the tension, and was being quiet.

Dusk then heard chirping coming from above. He led the group further below ground.

Verneice enterned the burrow and made sure that Miley, Tuck, and Hutch made it too. There was no meerkat with them, but it smelled of rivals.

ooc: If no one minds, can I take the last pup?

bic: Tallulah looked up fearfully. What was going on?
Miley dived into the bolt-hole, Tuck not far behind. She looked up at Dusk, chirping urgently. There is an owl outside!

Verneice began to lead the pups below ground. With a owl outside, there was o point leaving until it was gone.

Dusk was ready to fight. He heard chirping and the sound of meerkats approach. He kept his family behind him, ready for a fight.

Tallulah clutched onto Dawn. Who were these strange meerkats?
Miley looked up at Dusk. She was scared that he would attack them. Tuck stayed close to Miley.

Dusk snarled at Miley. he wouldn;t let these meerkats get anywhere near the groups' pups.

Verneice, Hutch, and Tuck looked to Miley. What should they do?

ooc: Can I take the last pup, a female named Zozane? (Zo-zah-ney)

bic: Miley chirped to Verneice. It's too dangerous up there, we have to make him see we mean no harm. Faced with no other option, Miley submitted to Dusk, chrring quietly.

Yea go ahead

Confused, Dusk didn;t know what to do. He turned to Dawn, who looked equally cofnused. He then turned to the pups and groomed them. Then he turned to the splinter group. They didn;t seem vicious, but this burrow was too cramped for all of them.

Tallulah and Zozane watched in astonishment. They didn't understand what was going on.
Miley chipred to Dusk. We can't go back out, theres an owl out there!

Seeing no threat, Dusk allowed the slinter group to stay. He led his grup further down the burow.

Verneice huddled around the pups, and chirped to Miley. Was the owl still there?

Miley peered out of the burrow. It looked like it had gone.
Tallulah peeped to Zozane. Lets go see the new meerkats. Zozane paused, a little unsure, but when Tallulah bounded foward, she followed.
Tuck saw the meerkats, and took a wary step backwards.

Hutch looked to where Tuck was watching, and bounded behind Verneice. Seeing the pup, Verneice growled. Normally, in this situation, her group would kill newborns in order to better their chances of survival. Now, though, she was confused. She turned to Miley.

Miley chirped to Verneice. Leave the pups, they couldn't afford to cause trouble.
Tallulah snorted at Tuck and Hutch. Scared?

Hutch, determine not to show his fear, stepped in front of Verneice and began to growl at Tallulah. Verneice snapped at him. This was not time to pick a fight!

Tuck copied Hutch, but fell silent when Verneice snapped at them. Tallulah grinned. These meerkats were nothing to be afraid of.
Miley chirped to her group. The eagle had gone. She left the bolt-hole and waited for the others. Tallulah and Zozane bounded after her.

Hutch and Tuck followed, with Verneice taking up the rear. She heard the Midnight pups following, but had no time to look behind.

Miley led the group back towards their territory. If they hurried, they could make it home. Tallulah returned below, but Zozane unwittingly ran after the Willow splinter.
Meanwhile, with the foraging party, Teetsie was leading the group home.

Verneice and the Willows pups followed, unaware they had one of the group's pups following. Finally, they crossed back into their own territory.

Tallulah chirped to Dusk and Dawn. Can they go home now?
Teetsie stopped the group when they reached the burrow. She couldn't see anyone...
Mae shrieked, terrified for her pups. Click tried to calm her down by grooming her.
