Roleplay - 10th of September

Starburst stumbled as she walked. If there was a time to take dominance, it would be now...

Joey gives Starburst a shoulder and calls for Luke. Can you help me?

Hershey, hearing the cries, runs over. With Starburst injured, this was the perfect time to attain dominance once again. But, Hershey cared more about her family then power. She called for Luke and Alex to help. She stayed right next to Starburst, holding her up and keeping an eye out for predators. She called for the pups to follow. They were heading home.

Joey would keep and eye on Hershey and make sure she didn't try to take over. Starburst would stay Dominant as long as Joey stayed in his position.

Starburst was thankful for the support. She started to head back towards the burrow... slowly.

Akina slowly followed. Her throat felt dry and her paws began to ache. She thought it was her fault. If she had turned and seen the cobra sooner, this never would have happened. An imaginary voice in her head was telling her that it wasn't her fault, but she believed it was.

Joey chirped to Hershey. Get Akina, will you?

Akina walked at a steady pace. She thought about what her brother said, that somewhere inside Starburst was a friend, well, if Akina had been responsible for her bite, she would be a pretty rotten friend. Akina may seem fearless, but she has one fear... loosing someone she cares about. Akina was shocked by her own thought, after the way Starburst had been, Akina still knew that Starburst could have let her continue alone after her group was chased off by the eagle, but didn't, she could have chosen to kill her if she wanted, but didn't. Akina realized, Starburst had already, in a way, saved her life. Hershey was not alone in being a hero.

Eventually, Starburst reached the burrow. Not only was she pregnate, but also had a cape cobra bite.

Joey helps her below ground and curls up with her.

Akina stays above ground.

Starburst falls asleep...

Akina watched with a heavy heart. If anything has happened to those unborn pups...I would never be able to forgive myself.

Joey can't sleep. He can't get the worried thoughts of Starburst out of his head...

Hershey, saddened by the weakening of their dminant, wcalled the pups over to snuggle. She groomed Alex, their bond still strong. If Starburst's pups were killed because of this snake, it would be a heavy blow to the group. That's why they had to make sure her pups made it through those first critical days.

Akina finally inched into the burrow slowly. She saw Starburst sleeping and Joey beside her. She looked on somberly, then she turned her head and headed for the far end of the burrow away from the others. She layed down. She hadn't had a solid meal all day, and she was starving. She ignored the pain and tried to sleep, her sleep would be haunted bt nightmares. She closed her pained eyes and fell asleep.

Joey finally managed to close his eyes.

ooc: I think Starburst, in general, was kind. But females do get more agressive when heavily pregnant.

bic: Alex and Luke was shocked by the sudden cape cobra attack. Helping Starburst back to the burrow, Alex grabbed Akina nd Mikeyal, doing his best to stay calm.
ONce home, Alex flopped down, and looked up at Hershey. This is getting too much...
Luke curled up by himself, and drifted into an uneasy sleep. Though he knew that Starburst was no longer his mate, and never will be his mate, he still worried about her greatly.

ooc: I make Starburst fair, but firm.

ooc: Joey can be the same.

Hershey agreed, and she looked at her belly, which looked about ready to burst...

Akina starts to whimper in her sleep. She was having a nightmare.

Akina's eyes shot open and she jumped up. The fur on her back was standing on end and she panted with the shock of returning to the world of the contiousness. She lied back down, she layed her head in the sand and again tried to sleep, but couldn't.

Akina replayed the nightmare in her head, she was standing inbetween two mobs, one was the Oreos, and one was... well in her nightmare, they appeared to be shadows. She had to choose a group, Akina was surprised that she could not make up her mind. She didn't know the other mob, wouldn't she go straight to the Oreos? Suddenly one of the meerkats appeared from the shadows...her brother Rex. He wanted her to come with him. As she was turning her head to the Oreos, the nightmare ended.

Akina noticed she did not see Mikeyal.
