Roleplay-6th of July 2009

Two meerkats were foraging under a tree. The female, Mae, quickly glanced at the sky, and the lizard she was about to catch escaped. She growled angrily and furiously dug in the sand, and her mate, Click, passed her half of the millipede he had been eating. She chirped greatfully, and gulped down the millipede.

A female, Dawn is traveling with her brother, Dusk. Dawn is jumping around, playful and hyper while Dusk is watching for dangers. When Dawn sees two strangers, she barks excitedly and foolishly. Dusk rolls his eyes, he loves his sister but she is sometimes stupid. He gets ready to fight so his sister can flee from a group that might be with these two strangers.

Mae sees the strangers and runs over to her mate for protection. Click eyed the strangers, and chirped at Mae to get her to calm down. He looked back at Dusk, with a threatening stare that said "if you so much as touch her..."

Dawn bounces around excitedly. She goes by Mae and grooms the other female.

Dusk rolls his eyes, he isn't going to hurt Mae, especially since Dawn seems to like her already. He goes up the male and submits. As much as he hates submitting to anyone, he will do it for his sister's sake. (What a good brother! XD )

Lithium wanders around, keeping watch for dangers. He wasn't used to this, and for a moment he wishes he was back with his family; but he was no good there, after his mate died.
He spotted the small group of four and moved closer, watching.

Mae was initionally startled when Dawn ran up to her and began to groom her, but she relaxed and groomed her back. Click chirped to Dusk, and went over to join the females. Then he saw Lithium moving towrds their group. He bounced up, ready to pretect Mae if he needed too.

Lithium stopped and study Click then chirped, he wasn't a threat. He lowered himself slowly, trying to show by his body language.

Click watched Lithium and chirped back. He was glad to have him on the team, the more the meerier (lol i have a poster that says that in my room). He turned back to Mae and Dawn. What did they want to do next?

Is their a dominant pair in this group? if not Mae and Click could be so temporarily.

Inle looks at the group. Was this a sign? He had been blessed with bad luck all his life (he thinks bad things are good xP) and the gloomy expression he has shows no emotion. The 9-month pup says nothing, not even a chrr. But walks towards the group.

Lithium nods and trots over to them, feeling somewhat relieved. Somehow, this seemed like, 'home'. A new beginning.

Click gathered up the group. Since there was a few of them now, he decided he should take them all out foraging. He quickly scanned the sky, but it was safe so he led them down to the clearing. He stood guard while the rest began to forage. Mae began to dig, and soon dug up a long skink.

Inle looks at Lithium. No, there is no new beginning. Only secounds of peace, before disaster strikes us all!!!

Lithium raises an eyebrow at Inle and turns away. He takes sentry duty.

Click chirped to the others. It was getting late. With Mae by his side, he took them to a burrow they had passed before. It wasn't long until they headed below, hoping to catch a good night's sleep.
