Roleplay-6th of July 2009

We'll start the actual roleplay here:
A lone female had been standing guard on a old tree stump. Her name was Tisca, and she had been evicted from her old mob by her powerful mother. Tisca was determined to survive alone but know it seemed that the best option was to start her own group, or at least join a new one. She thought she saw something move from the corner of her eye and spun around and snarled. But there was nothing there. She searched frantically for the mystrey animal but she was definately alone.

Two Males are nearby foraging while keeping watch from dangers. They are Stratus and Nimbus from the Weather Mob. At around 5 1/2 years old, they are pretty good at being alone with only each for company. When Stratus climbs up on a bush he sees Tisca standing on her tree stump not far away and stares questioningly at her then looks around, making sure him and his brother aren't in danger of a mob appearing and attacking them but he only sees Tisca and Nimbus around.

Tisca saw the two males and snarled at them, but when she realised there were only two, she calmed down. She kept her distance, keeping a careful watch on the males.

Stratus climbs down from his bush and makes his way towards Tisca, he makes sure his body language shows that he isn't a danger to Tisca as he approaches the stump she is on.

Nimbus follows his brother, also showing he isn't a treat as well. He looks from his brother to Tisca.

She watches them approach her, and slowly backs away. Eventually, she decides she would be better off with other meerkats and she allowed them to appprooach her, but she was still a bit edgey.

From afar, a young female by the name of Faeya scans her surroundings as she tries to forage, but she's becoming more and more nervous by the minute. She shakes from fear and anxiety, shoveling dirt around to try and look for food, but she looks up again. She just can't stay focused. A bleeding wound on her shoulder tells her story; after being evicted from her natal mob for falling pregnant and loosing her pups from being alone, trying to rejoin had been unsuccessful. Sighing, she limps over to a small fallen log and stands on it, looking for dangers.
It's then she spots three other meerkats in the distance. Surprised, she ducks down, watching.

Stratus grooms Tisca gently...Nimbus walks around searching the area while Stratus lets Tisca know they aren't a threat to her...He is near the log that Feeya is by but doesn't see her hidden.

Faeya, frightened as the male comes closer, tries to back off the log but looses her footing and tumbles, causing a loud noise. She knows her cover is blown, now.

In a nearby bolthole two adult females and two five month old pups are huddled together after safety darting away at the sound of an alarm call. After about an hour underground the elder of the two females pokes her head out of the hole and scans the skies for danger. With nothing but blue sky and the odd white fluffy cloud overhead, Morning Glory gives a series of lead calls for the rest of her family to join her in the open.
With a quick round of grooming for reassurance, she leads the tiny patrol out to continue their search for any other company and more pressing issue..breakfast.

(I hope this is a bit better, Sorry for being a noob the subject of meerkats is miles off what I usually rp..lol.)

ooc: I thought the Little Clouds' mob was just forming, how at they at a bolt hole with Morning Glory leading them? Or is it just Morning Glory and Leaf because you made it sound like more, Maybelline? lol

Nimbus hears the crash and turns towards the noise. He sees Feeya and smiles. He chirps to let her know that she doesn't have to be afraid, he won't hurt her.

Faeya looks up at Nimbus and struggles to her feet, nodding at him and giving him a small smile. She chrrs softly, wondering who it was that Nimbus was with.

Nimbus looks at Stratus and Tisca and chirps...The male is his brother...The female is a lone female...He nuzzles Feeya and nods towards Stratus and Tisca...She should be with them for protection.

Faeya smiles and chirps a thank you to Nimbus. She's grateful for the company of others, after being on her own. She heads over to Stratus and Tisca, keeping low.

Tisca saw Faeya and looked at her questiongly. She hadn't seen her before. She chirped softly, her earlier anxiety gone. She walked over to Faeya to get a closer look.

Faeya studied Tosca for a moment then chirped back, explaining that she's alone and came across Nimbus. She just needs a place to stay.

Tisca flicked her tail, indicating that Faeya could stay wiht them. She was glad that Faeya, Nimbus and Stratus were here now, things wouldn't be so difficult than they had been by herself. Hopefully they would form into a strong group.

Faeya smiled, happy to have a safe place to stay. After being on her own for so long, it was comforting to have others around.

Tisca turned to Nimbus and Stratus and chirped to them. She was hungry and still wanted to forage. At theat moment, she saw Morning Glory and the two pups. she froze, unsure what to do.

Who are the pups? Are they your characters?

(They don't have to be..if someone wants to rp them go ahead. I had to add them in to pad out my background story otherwise MG & Leaf weren't really fitting in anywhere)

With Morning Glory's head down a hole digging for a scorpion, It is Leaf that is the first one to spot the other small group and goes running in for a closer look. Several months had gone by since they had seen their last family and it had saddened them all greatly when they got separated from them during a fight for territory with a neighbourly gang.
Finding a rock to climb, Leaf stands up on her back legs and calls out desperately hoping that her cries will be heard by the other meerkats.

Stratus sees the females and pups and looks at them curiously

Nimbus, being quite foolish sometimes approaches them and the pups and chirps hello.

ooc: Are the pups Morning Glory's or Leaf's? Just curious...I am assuming that MG or Leaf is the mother since you said they are two months old and that its been several months since they've seen their family...Don't worry, you'll get the hang of meerkat rping soon enough

ooc: Could I play one of the pups? =)

(ooc:The pups are five months as in my first post and the mother isn't either of my characters. The've kinda adopted them as they had no one else during the slpit. Of course Pancake all yours ^^)

ooc: Ok, could I be a female named Clover?

Faeya watches them, a bit wary but also curious.

Clover looks up at Nimbus, a little fearful.
