Roleplay - 19th September

Lancaster watches Maylene take off again. He chrips to himself (wow she doesnt seem to stay at one place for long) then continues to scan the horizon.

Tank notices Maylene next to him and smiles goofily feeling those butterflies flood his stomach.

ooc: Should we make a new forum for the splinter. And thanks Pancake! Would you like to play any of them?? You seem to know their personalities better.

Buckeye spots Linda. She runs over and scent-marks Linda. You can stay. We need your help anyway. She informed the newcomer of their mission. However, it was getting late. Buckeye decided to lead her enormous family back to the burrow. They would resume their search in the morning. Verniece and Hutch loyally followed.

Lavender, Daisy, and Dewdrop sat huddled together at the bolt hole, watching Cheyenne. They liked Buckeye better too. Lithium sat, thinking. This group needs to work together if it's going to survive.

I'll play Lavender and Dewdrop.

Tank chirps a greeting to Linda then begins to follow Buckeye back to the burrow but takes a one last look into the distance. He worries about Tuck and Clover having to spend another dangerous night alone or so he thinks. He's completely unaware that they've become part of a potentially new group.

Back at the burrow, Lancaster continues to keep an anxious eye on the horizon, hoping the Willows have succeeded at their mission of finding the missing group members. He too is unaware that Tuck and Clover have become part of a potentially new group. He's also unaware that a new member has joined the group.

Linda was now a subordinate of the Willows. She will need to get to know all of the members before she can feel at home. She loyally follows her first order and stays behind the dominants ready to move out.

cheyenne made lead calls and headed out.


Tuck followed.

Daisy and Lithium followed Cheyenne's lead, for now.

Buckeye finally managed to get her family safely home. Her mission was unsuccessful, but there was always tomorrow. She walked over to Keeko for some gentle grooming. Verniece went below to take care of the pups and give the babysitters a break. Hutch sat on the cool sand, slowly drifting to sleep. The Willows were growing large. Buckeye needed to make sure they all stayed in check.

Tank arrives at the burrow with his head held down low in disappointment. They had failed to find the missing Willows but tomorrow is another day and he's determined to help the group find them. He'll go to searching all the areas of the Kalahari if he has to to find them. Lancaster sighs in relief seeing the Willows return but frowns when he sees the disppointment in his brother's face. He realizes that they had no luck in finding the Willows splinter group. Tank plops down next to Lancaster and Lancaster offers his brother some grooming to calm his nerves.

Maylene sees Tank laying down and goes over to him. Then she begins to groom him to try and keep his spirits up.

Jackie arrives home and lies in the sand eyeing the sky. She smells the air, taking in all the scents.

Snowflake lies down next to Jackie. He eyes Linda, curiously.

Hearing the family return above ground, Josephine awoke and lifted her head off of the earthy floor.
Deciding to want to greet them, she struggled to stand and weakly hobbled up to the surface.
Seeing Tank, she called out to him and went over to sit next to Lancaster.


Hearing Cheyenne’s call Leaf raised her nose in the air and obediently followed. Living with this female in the dominant spot wasn’t going to be easy.

Sighing, Dusk retreated down the bush and trotted along to catch up to Lithium.

Linda arrived at the burrow with the others. She sniffed out the burrow and peered inside before laying down and resting with the rest of the mob. tommarrow she'll work on fitting in with the rest of the mob.

Tank relaxes as Lancaster grooms him. He sits up and returns the grooming. He glances at Lancaster's thigh. It appears to be starting to heal. He sighs and smiles relieved that his brother is on his way to recovery. Tank sees Maylene and begins to get those butterflies in his stomach again. As she starts to groom him, he goes in to a love gaze. He grooms her back tenderly. Tank sees Josephine appear above ground and a feeling of guilt and anxiety flood his body. He let's out a weak chirp back to her then lowers his head. If only he hadnt engaged in a fight with that cape cobra she wouldnt have suffered a potentially fatal bite. Lancaster smiles as she sits next to him and starts to groom her. He worries if she's going to make it through the night.

Josephine weakly chirped back in acknowledgement to Tank and lowered her head. As Lancaster began to groom her she tried the best to groom him in return but could only manage to lick his fur gently.

Lancaster grooms Josephine's bite wound with a feeling of uncertainty. He fears tonight may be the last time he spends time with her and chooses to loyally stick by her side. He tries to think possitive that she'll survive and she survives through the night, he'll do what ever he can to nurse her back to health.

Buckeye looks over her extended family, and is thankful for their support. They would all sleep nice and warm tonight.

ooc: The Willows sure are growing...

Tank notices the group's large size and smiles. The Willows must be one of the most succesful groups in the area and being this large, they stand a really good chance at winning battles with rival gangs and bringing up pups succesfully. But large group sizes also have their disavantages. Group splits are more likely to occur and with females pregnant, the group is about to expand possibly to breaking point.

Maylene smiled on the inside as she began to tenderly groom Tank.

Tank returns the tender grooming, his stomach still filled with butterflies.

Glade grows tired an begins to lay down next to her siblings. Verniece and Hutch huddle around the pups and begin to go to sleep. Buckeye watches the sunset with her family.

At the splinter group, Lithium retires below ground, hoping to sleep off some of his pain. Daisy stays above ground and clears the entrance with Lavendar's help.

Maylene then stopped grooming Tank and then headed below ground and went to sleep in her own little chamber closest to the surface.

Dusk followed Lithium below ground whilst Leaf stood on her hind legs watching out for Clover.

Feeling exhausted but still wanting to spend time with the family, Josephine couldn’t sit up any longer and laid out flat on the cooling sand.

Lancaster starts to doze off but decides to stay above ground for a little bit longer with Josephine. Tank follows Maylene below ground and curls up next to her but stays awake. His mind is flooded with thoughts concerning what may have happened to the missing Willows and if they're still alive, could they spend another night without the protection of their large mob.

Dewdrop walked up to Daisy, Hello!
Daisy backed away slightly.
Oh no need to worry, I won't bite, said Dewdrop smiling.
