Roleplay - 29th of September

Lancaster notices Grace struggling and offers to give her a lift. He gently grabs her by the scruff and carries her as he follows close behind Josephine.

Gretel races after Glade.

Grace chrrs with appreciation.

Golly Gosh bounds after Glade, chasing her tail.

Eztli sees Black Widow and raises the alarm, hoping the fighting might stop for just a moment. He sees it's Black Widow and settles down more.

Chirping to the pups, Josephine began to dig again and stumbled across a cluster of beetle larvae. Eagerly excavating them she picked a grub up at a time and dropped them in front of Lancaster.

As he carries Grace in his mouth, Lancaster decides to multitask and does sentry duty at the same time but while standing on all 4 legs. But not the mutitasking type, Lancaster finds himself struggling with what to focus on the most, tending to the exhausted pup or watching out for Josephine's and the pups' safty. He places Grace back down on the ground then stands on his hind legs. After 5 minutes he picks up Grace and follows Josephine as she forages. He's decided to do both but seprately and for a short amount of time. Lancaster notices the beetle larvae in front of him and places Grace down. He chirps a thank you to Josephine and chows down on it happily, then nudges some of the beetle larvae over to Grace.

Black Widow hears Etzli's alarm but it doesn't cause her to hesistate. She continues to advance closer to the group, keeping submissive but knows once she meets the dominanat female, she's in for some rough treament.

Eztli moves his eyes from Black Widow to Teetsie. He wondered what her immediate response would be.

Black Widow approaches Teetsie chattering apologetically and submissively then grooms her hoping for some forgiveness.

If Darwin had been paying any attention to what had been going on since he joined, he'd know that Black widow's attempts were likely in vein, and he did know.

Black Widow lays on her side submissively and flinches, expecting her tail base to be the main focus for Teetsie.

Teetsie didnj't bother with Black Widow, she could saty for now.

Black Widow opens her eyes and realizes that Teetsie hasn't punished her. She sighs in relief and slinks away with her head held low in guilt. She may have been spared of punishment for now but knows she's not out of the woods yet. From now on she's going to have to keep a low profile and pull her wieght to try to keep on Teetsie's good side.

Eztli watches Black Widow. He's never seen that side of her.

Black Widow glances at Teetsie. For a meerkat with a bad reputation, Black Widow has never done something like having a tryst with a rover before and is unsure of what to expect from Teetsie after commiting this kind of bad behavior. Back in her old group, she'd get a tail biting from her mother when she'd leave the pups alone and vulnerable when she was stuck on babysitting duty and ditched her job to explore the Kalahari. She has a strong feeling the same punishment is yet to come for her but it doesn't bother her. She was always a bit of a rebel and preferred to do things her way.

Tallulah watched, wide-eyed. Teetsie had chased her mother out of the group, even though she had submitted, but had let Black Widow off without so much of a warning.
Zozane growled. Teetsie was unfair and unjust.

ooc- Is the dominance fight over?

Black Widow glanced at Teetsie a few more times a bit surprised she didn't get growled at or nothing for leaving the group when she wanted then hanging around with a rover and is now possibly expecting pups. She would always get punished for being bad and thought Teetsie's lenientcy was strange.

Lithium was so agitated now that Teetsie's actions fazed him little.

Taking advantage of the break, Glade began to pounce on her siblings.

Black Widow shrugs then stares off into the distance hoping to see some kind of danger appear.

Lancaster chuckles as he watches the pups play.

Teetsie glares at Black Widow. Teetsie had only let her off because Teetsie didn't want to bother with her at the moment, she would get a beating later.

Unaware of Teetsie's punishing intentions, Black Widow gets up to do some foraging. She tears into the ground and pulls up a skink but before it could scurry away, she sinks her claws into its back then bites down on its head, killing it. She eats it quickly and loudly.

Darwin watched. He sat down and watched Teetsie's confusing actions.

Still hungry, Black Widow moves on to forage near a bush and digs up a nice juicy beetle. She munches on it slowly, savoring every taste.

Teetsie began to slink away and follow Black Widow...

Standing on her back legs, Josephine looked around the unfamiliar territory. Being part of her caring nature she began to worry that the Midnight members might lead them into an unfriendly encounter and put the pup’s lives in danger. Making up her mind, she hurried back to Lancaster’s side and made lead calls for the splinter unit to migrate in the opposite direction back towards the Willows territory. Wary that she was just a weak female with no status against pregnant Mae, Josephine kept an eye looking over her shoulder for any surprise challenges.
