Roleplay - 5th of October

ooc- Should we inflict another casualty on them or is the DM, babysitter, and the pups enough?

ic- Linda leads the pups to another spot safe away from the action. This battle was turning out much better than the last one. Prehaps it's the fact that the battle's on their turf.

ooc: Yeah we can say that the babysitter and pups were killed while the Willows were rushing to pretect their pups from the 3 wild rival males. Another death wouldn't hurt Tank and Leon will kill the male they're attacking right now.

bic: underground, the babysitter lays there motionless. She had tried her best to protect the pups, but she clearly didn't stand a chance against the Willows when they swarmed the burrow en mass and over powered her. The Willows have succeeded in killing the babysitter and the pups, adding another fatal blow to the already weakened wild meerkat group.

Unfortunately another member of the what was a vicious army of wild meerkats is in grave danger of losing his life. His fate hangs in Tank and Leon's paws as they continue to inflict life threatening injuries on his body. Tank has inflicted a serious neck wound on the male as he faught to get free from Tank and Leon's deadly game of tug of war but it only worsened his deadly situation. The male screeches for mercy but his cries of pain only fuel the rage in Tank.

Tank thrashes the male's head around violently whipping his neck in bone breaking twists and turns.

The dominant female gags as Buckeye goes for her throat. As she is inflicted serious wounds to her neck, she squeals and tries to pull herself free from Buckeye's grip by pulling her along as she staggers backwards and claws at Buckeye's muzzle.

Leon snarled and while holding onto the male's leg, he did a mave like that of a crocadilian's death roll.

Tank tosses the male to the ground and before he could get a chance to get up, Tank pins him to the ground and sinks his teeth into the male's throat, putting pressure on his wind pipe.

The male squeals as his leg is torn by Leon's death roll. As Tank tosses him to the ground, the male lays there too weak to fight back and gags as Tank bites into his throat. He struggles to breath as the pressure on his throat increases and his vision begins to become tunneled. The male wheezes as he feels the life draining from his body.

Linda looks on. This victory will be easy. They'll never return after the damage inflicted. She had only wished she was well enough to fight. She did warn everyone of their approach and helped protect the pups from certain death though.

Wanting to make the male's death swift, Tank snaps his neck and tosses him to the ground.

The male lays lifeless on the ground after having his neck snapped. He has become another casualty in this deadly battle.

The dominant female fights to free herself from Buckeye's jaws of steel. She rakes her claws across Buckeye's muzzle. No matter how many members she loses she'll keep fighting until she's rendered unconcious

The other members of her group aren't so brave or strong enough to continue the fight. One of the dominant female's eldest daughters sounds a retreat and heads for the hills. Hearing the retreat, the other members follow suit and high tail it after their older relative. The battle had left the group with a terrible blow. They lost 2 babysitters, their pups, 2 males, their dominant male and a female is missing (Who's been spared from the fight and is with Mischka). The remaining group members head off to regroup and lick their wounds.

Leon growled and wardanced after them, they HAD to make sure this group was driven clean off Willows territory.

Jackie and Snwoflake watch their rivals retreat.

Jackie had felt slightly guilty as she had been in the front line and attacked the babysitter, but she tries her best to ignore the guilt. It was the babysitter or her.

Snowflake starts to groom his wounds.

Linda watches as they retreat. Victory! She waits for them to be truely gone and the area to be safe before she will lead the pups back into the open. In the mean time she tends to her only wound from the battle. It was a small bite mark on her side. The male didn't have time to make it deep enough to bleed out or cause her any post-battle pain. It didn't matter anyways. The neck wound from last week with the Midnights was still hurting her.

Leon growled, he'd seen them run past the border and gone. Then he looked up and saw their dominant female still fighing Buckeye and not retreating. He snarled, just one left.

Linda sees the DF of the mob still there. She looks at their casualties. The DM, one male, the babysitter, their litter, and prehaps the DF will become another casualty if she doesn't retreat with her mob. She was still worried, though. Where were Josephine and Lancaster?

Buckeye delivers one final blosw to the dominant female across her neck before letting go. She called to her group to assemble near the burrow entrance. She wanted to make sure everyone escaped the battle with at least their lives.

Verniece leads those hiding toward Buckeye, where Hutch is there to greet them.

Megan turned and followed.

Leon came over.

Seeing that her mob has retreated, the dominant female stumbles to her feet after collapsing to the ground after Buckeye gave her a brutal blow to her neck. She hobbles trying to run after her retreating group but weak from her injuries, she falls to the ground several times. Eventually the dominant female gathers all the strength she had left and bounds in the direction where her group retreated.

Tank bites a wild group member as he passed by and wardances after the retreating wild group barking triumphantly. He comes to a stop at the top of the dune and stands victoriously with his tail erect watching as the losing group vanishes into the horizon. He returns to the regrouping Willows to asses any casualties they mave recieved. It appears some members are mildly injured but everyone including the pups appear to be preseant and safe.

Linda hears the call and comes over, sitting with the others. The pups were okay and none of them were harmed in any way. They were still forming up on Buckeye, but from what she saw to looks they've only sustained small injuries.

Leo growled, shouldn't they follow them? To make certain that they are driven clear away.

Tank glanced at Leon with a reassured smirk. After losing several members, the wild group will never want return to Willows territory.

Meanwhile in unknown territory, Lancaster stands on his hind legs, chirping anxiously as he glances in every direction. Every where he turns all he sees is tall grass. After being chased for almost a mile by the vicious wild group, Lancaster and Josephine have been chased into a dangerous section of the research area. An area of dense tall grass that seems to go on for miles and it's crawling with deadly predators. So far they haven't encountered any dangerous animals but the farther they wonder through the sea of tall grass, the likely they are to come in cantact with a venomous snake jackal or bird of prey. Lancaster realizes that him and Josephine are lost in a Kalahari jungle and as every hour goes by, the chances of them making it out alive are looking slimer and slimer.

Josephine sticks close to Lancaster. It's very easy to get seperated if they were to stray from each other. She whimpers realizing they're lost in a dangerous sea of tall grass. Josephine stands on her hind legs to try see any sign of an opening but all she sees is tall grass in every direction.

ooc: I'm glad you posted again Yoshkat I got kinda lost where L&J were. Do you want me to carry on or would you like to keep her a bit longer?

ooc: You're welcome:) Lancaster and Josephine were chased by the wild meerkat group into an area of tall grass that leads to danger. Feel free to take control of Josephine again:)

Tank begins to groom his wounds. He had recieved a few scratches but nothing serious.

Lancaster sighs. They have no choice but to continue moving despite not knowing where this sea of tall grass could lead them. Hopefully it will eventually lead them back to the Willows. Lancaster starts to lead the way. They have to find their way out before it gets dark.

ooc- Can we not have this turn into another multi-day search and rescue thing? We just got the pups and the babysitters back.

ic- Linda looks around as the mob assembles. They did good. She was eager to get foraging. She was becoming weak again as the adrenaline rush from the fight stops.

ooc: Sure. I kinda had a plot planned that they would spend the night in a bolthole after being spotted by a bird of prey and I have them planned to be reunited with the group during the skip.

Tank observes the group closely making sure that everyone is preseant but he suddenly realizes that 2 meerkats are mssing, Josephine and Lancaster. At first he snarls angrily that his brother had led her away from the safty of the group again. They're lives could be in danger! But Tank decides not to do anything. He figures that may have wondered off some where to spend some romantic time together in a bolthole but when they return, the dominants won't be very happy.

Lancaster unwittingly starts to lead Josephine in the direction where they came from turning their luck around and increasing their chances of making it out of the sea of tall grass alive.

Happy to see her group safe and only suffering several small injuries, Buckeye decides to make this burrow their new home. She begins the renovations. They would resume their search for Lancaster and Josephine tomorrow.

Verniece leads the pups below ground, while Hutch helps with the chores.

Desperate for food, Linda begins sniffing around and heads off to a nice area of flat sand not far away and begins digging. She digs up a millipede and wipes the toxic slime off before swallowing. She needed to gain her lost weight back and restore energy. She digs up a few grubs and eats them as well.

Tank helps Buckeye with clearing out the burrow entrance. He takes a few pauses in between to check for predators.

Meanwhile, outside a bolthole in Willows territory, Mischka is tenderly grooming and spending time with a female he had enticed from the wild meerkat group. He likes the female but there's other females out there that he wants to try his luck with. He isn't yet ready to start a group of his own but may one day come back to this female to start up a group.

Spared from suffering the same fate her group suffered, the female has been spending the whole afternoon with Mischka and appears to want to stay with the rover. She was always treated cruely by her dominant mother and now that she's away from her group, she plans to never return. Having found an unrelated male she plans to start a group of her own but that is Mischka if plans to stay by her side . She happily returns the tender grooming, churring with pleasure.

Linda keeps foraging, too hungry to bother anything else. She hoped That rover from before was truely gone, and not just hiding. They likely scared him away. She ignored the thought and resumed foraging.
