Roleplay - 10th of October

Tank glances at Buckeye's swollen belly. With another day down there's 9 more to go until she gives birth. Tank is elated about looking after, protecting and providing for the Willows next generation. Tank chirps to Linda and Mercy. He feels that he's well enough to walk on his own.

Lancaster snickers quietly. He knows it won't be last time him and Josephine will get up to no good.

Linda lets Tank walk on his own but still walks near him just in case. She looks at Buckeye as well. They will be born very soon, and she couldn't wait to babysit them. She loves pups.

Mercy nodded and let Tank walk by himself but stayed near him just in case. She glanced at Buckeye's belly, she had never really been around pups.

Tank carefully puts weight on his sprained ankle. Slight pain radiates up his leg but it isn't enough to prevent him walking. Tank smiles as he starts to feel better from his wounds and picks up his walking pace.

Lancaster glances over at his brother. He's relieved to see that Tank is rebounding quickly from his injuries.

Accepting Mercy, Buckeye finally led her group to their burrow. She was tired and needed to rest, but her family would be there to comfort her. She scent-marked each of them; although they were large, they had a close bond, and this was their strength. Buckeye sat near the entrance of the burrow, chirping and allowing the others to gather around her to watch the sun set.

Vernice and Hutch joined thsi reunion, and Glade bounded around, wanting to stay up late.

Linda decides to walk next to Mercy as she stays with Tank. Buckeye and Maylene might not be the only ones with a litter on the way. She was already drawing some concerns for her own litter that she might be carrying. She sighs quietly and keeps walking. She doesn't want anyone to find out prematurely. When they get to the burrow she sits near the entrance.

When they get to the burrow Mercy sits next to Buckeye and chirps in gratitude for letting her join. She had never been in a mob before but so far she liked it,

Tank sits on his haunches next to the burrow mouth. He accepts the scent marking from Buckeye then glances at everyone in the group. The Willows have certainly gotten large over the past few weeks and now that Buckeye is due to give birth, their group numbers will swell again. Tank glances at each of the pregnant females. With them also expecting the pup boom could bring the groups numbers up to an unstable limit, bringing with it a likely chance of a group split. Even though the Willows strength is in their numbers, it's also their weakness. But no how big the Willows get they'll always have a strong bond.

Lancaster yawns and lays next to his brother. He also accepte his scent marking then rolls over on his back and watches the set upside down.

ooc- No one knows for sure if Linda, Verniece, or Luna are pregnant.

ic- Linda accepts the scent marking from Buckeye. She sits by Mercy, happy she's been accepted. She looks at the sunset a little and decides to go inside. This was a confusing day. Evicted for a few hours and let back in the same day. She goes down to where she usually sleeps and lays down.

Tired and sore from the fight with the jackals, Tank heads into the burrow. He still feels guilty about risking the lives of the whole group today. Without even thinking he just made a charge for the jackals and ruthlessly killed one of the jackal pup's parents. He sighs sadly wishing he could take it all back but the damage has already been done. He picks a spot at the back of the burrow and curls up in a ball but doesn't fall asleep.

Lancaster chooses to stay above ground for a while to watch the beautiful sunset with Josephine.

Josephine accepted Buckeye's marking and sat with her head resting on Lancaster's shoulder. It had been an eventful day for all members of the family but having such a large group made relaxing all the more rewarding at the end of the day.

Linda curls up into a ball. The day's events are finally catching up with her and she starts to get tired. She stays awake, though, not wanting to fall asleep before some others come in.

Lancaster churrs in content and nuzzles Josephine. The beautiful sights of the Kalahari evening makes their time together feel more romantic. Lancaster is happy to be in another big group pretty much because he's used to it. The group him and Tank originally came from grew to 50 members but soon after they split into 3 groups but what's different about the Willows is that their bond is much stonger than the group he came from.

Tank chirps in response to a seering pain shooting through his back and neck muscles. He adjusts himself onto his stomach. the pain fades away and Tank closes his eyes.

Linda lifts her head up, looking around. She didn't realize how tired she really was until she entered the burrow. She slowly lowers her head, dozing off a moment, and wakes up again, looking around.

Lancaster rests his head on Josephine's and sighs passionately. Seeing the sun disappear behind the mountains in the distance Lancaster thinks about heading below for the night but chooses to stay above ground for a few more minutes. He lets out a big yawn and starts to doze off. As he dose so he leans into Josephine.

Tank opens his eyes. He's tired but can't seem to fall asleep. The thought of that poor lonely jackal pup having to spend a terrifying night alone is weighing heavily on his mind.

Jackie accepts her scent marking and turns to watch the sun. She smiles at the sight.

Snowflake accepts Buckeye's scent mark and then goes below ground. There he curls up and rests his head on his paws. He starts to fall to sleep.

Luna headed below to fall asleep.

Linda curls up again and tries to fall asleep, but can't. She decides to get up and go back above ground. She sits next to the others, watching the sunset. She sees Leon and chirps, apologizing to him also.

Luna keeps one eye open just a crack. She watches Leon with admiration... he could get a little violent when it came to protecting his daughter, but who wouldn't?

Tank sighs with a sound of guilt in his breath. He can't stop thinking about what his recklessness could've cost the group today and what it has cost for a poor innocently lost jackal pup. Tank closes his tightly, trying to drain his mind of all thoughts and forces himself to fall asleep.

Lancaster jerks awake as he leans into Josephine. He smiles at her a bit embarrased but stays leaned against her. He snuggles with her until the sun fully disappears from the horizon.

Linda finishes apologizing to Leon and decides to sit out a little longer, not being able to sleep with so many things on her mind.

Buckeye heads below ground, tired from today's events.

Verniece and Glade follow, but Hutch stays above for a little while longer.

Seeing Buckeye head below ground, Linda decides to go down too. With Tank injured, she decides to go where he was fo tonight, incase anything happens. She lays down in a different part of the chamber Tank is in.

Tank rolls onto his back growling. He can't seem to fall asleep due to his thoughts going a mile a minute and the pain that is throbbing in his back and neck. He sees Linda lay near him and his tensity starts to lighten up. Her loyalty to want to stay by his side has braught warmth to his heart.

Lancaster nuzzles Josephine. They should probably head below ground now that the sun has fully set and before the night time predators start to surface.

Megan is reluctant to go to bed. She goes after being nudgedlightly by Leon.

Leon took one last scan of the area before following Buckeye below ground.
