Roleplay - 29th of October

Bravo finishes foraging, feeling full enough to continue his quest. He starts moving again, this time out of the Oreos. He has no interest to stay here.

Carnation stays close to Sandy as she goes on gaurd. If danger threatens, she'll lay down her life to protect her.

Luke follows Starburst, unaware of the rover at the babysitting burrow.

PK looks around, still wary as ever.

Carnation looks up at the sky and sees a small flock of drongos flying by. She smiles as she enjoys watching their aerial antics

After digging a hole that was bigger than her, Sandy finally found a tiny beetle and batted it around with her paws, churring excitedly.

Carnation churrs amazed at how quickly Sandy dug herself into a large hole and with such strength for a little pup. She's never seen a pup as advanced as her.

Sandy eventually began eating the beetle, realizing how hungry she was.

Carnation looks around thinking about taking Sandy for a little nature walk. It's such a beautiful day and there seems to be no sign of danger. Plus, hanging around the burrow is starting to get boring, but she tries to refrain herself from giving in to that decision because leading a pup away from the safty of the burrow could be a very foolish and risky thing to do.

When Sandy finished eating, she stood up on her hind legs, taking in her surroundings. She stared in the direction of the route The Oreos chose for foraging. There was so much she was missing...

Carnation looks down at Sandy. She can see in her eyes that she longs for an adventure but it's too dangerous and the Oreos are counting on her to keep the pup safe. Carnation is a sucker when it comes to giving in to a pup's pleas but she also likes to be loyal to a group. She mentally conflicts over her choices.

Bravo exits Oreo's land, heading further up away from his home in the Willows.

Carnation looks at the burrow then back at Sandy. Should she or shouldn't she give in to the pup's wishes?

Kal keeps walking, hoping they get to the foraging patch soon.

Once they reach the foraging ground, Starburst quickly sets to digging.

Flare also starts digging. Akina begged from Flare and was given a beetle larve.

Erevu went to random adults, begging.

Carnation stares into the horizon still mentally fighting with herself over what to do. Ever since she was young, she's always stuck to the safe way of life, never taking any risks, like venturing away from her mother to explore. She's never really lived on the wild side but now is her oppertunity to give it try. If Carnation takes the risk of leading Sandy off on an adventure, she'll be giving a name for herself but she could also get into serious trouble. Carnation stands up on all 4s and sighs. If it's to make things more exciting then maybe a short walk away from the burrow won't hurt. Carnation will just make sure to keep the burrow in sight or leave some kind of a trail so she and Sandy can find their way back.

Ok, I'm introducing my new Oreo meerkats now... the pups will come first. (They gave Acacia the slip, but she'll be coming looking for them soon.)

Smudge and Mellow Yellow playfight together close to where the Oreos are foraging, unaware of the other meerkats and also the dangers of the rest of the world.

Carnation takes a few steps foward then hesitates. She looks over her shoulder eyeing the burrow unsure if she should leave to take Sandy venturing out into the dangerous scrub of the Kalahari.

Sandy took a step closer to Carnation, wondering if she going to decide to go on the walk or not.

Carnation decides to take the risk. The urge to leave the burrow to explore is just too much to ignore. Carnation starts to lead Sandy through a small patch of dried out grass. She'll just make sure not to take Sandy too far from the burrow and will leave a trail so they can find their way back.

Sandy followed, churring happily and feeling excited.

Carnation stops a few times to dig small holes to use as a trail, which should help to lead them back to the burrow when they decide to return home from their little nature walk. She looks at the sky and vegetation edges nervously, keeping a strong look out for predators. If something bad happens to Sandy, she'll never forgive herself and her position in the group could be at stake.

Sandy batted at flowers and chased the butterflies on them, but keeping within sight of Carnation.

Carnation watches Sandy closely and at the same time, enjoys watching her play.

Sandy stopped chasing a butterfly and stood up on her hind looking curiously at the world around her. Little did she know, it wasn't always so fun and wonderful.
