Roleplay - 29th of October

Smudge and Mellow Yellow spot Acacia and bound over to her quickly.

Carnation sounds nervous muffled chirps. All she sees around them are patches of tall grass and dense thickets of drie doring bushes and seeing them blow around in the breeze isn't making her feel any safer.

Sandy looked at Carnation as if to say, So what now?

Carnation looks around. This area doesn't look familiar at all. She whimpers. Maybe if they head back in the direction they ran they may end up meeting up with the Oreos foraging party or they could find themselves back in the dangerous claws of the jackal couple. Carnation sighs she's so tempted to retrace her steps but it could lead her and Sandy into peril.

Sandy stood on her hind legs and looked around the clearing. She gazed at a big drie doring bush, tempted to climb on top to get a better view, but knew that she was only a pup and could hurt herself doing that.

Carnation had placed Sandy down so she can get a better look at their surroundings. She stands up on her hind legs and nervously scans the horizon for any predators. She sees the huge drie doring bush but is disinterested in checking it out. She's more worried about finding a way back home than exploring.

Sandy sniffed the air, trying to catch a whiff of The Oreos, since she knew the scent somewhat by now.

Carnation gets back down on all 4s and peeps to Sandy. She's made the decision to retrace their steps but hopes they don't find themselves back at burrow where the jackals are.

Sandy followed Carnation, possibly straight into the jaws of two hungry jackals, or possibly into the safety of their mob.

Carnation sniffs thoroughly at the air. The Oreo's scent is very faint in this area. It won't help them much to track down the foraging party but Carnation is determined to find them.

Sandy spotted the jackals in the distance. Carnation and Sandy were going past them, unseen.

Carnation also spots the jackals. She couldn't help but to let a small frightened squeak exit her mouth. She grits her teeth hoping they didn't hear it then presses Sandy close to her with her tail and slips into a patch of grass to try to stay concealed from their sight.

As they were crawling through the grass, Sandy couldn't help but notice that one of the jackals had something it's mouth, and was shaking it mercissly. Was it another meerkat, or a defensless animal? She let out a small squeak of fright.

Carnation sees through the grass that the male jackal has a yellow mongoose clenched in in his jaws. She gasps horrified. It very easily could've been her and Sandy if the jackals had chosen not to let them get away and they're still at risk of ending up like the yellow mongoose if they are suddenly spotted or if the jackals pick up their scent.

Suddenly, the wind began to carry their scent towards the two jackals. She held her breath.

Princess picked up the scent of meerkats. Most likely, the meerkats they had met earlier. However, her and Blood had prey of their own right now. They both devoured the yellow mongoose.

Carnation squeaks and turns her head away. She can't stand to watch a poor animal get ripped to shreds. Her heart races when the wind suddenly changes direction. It's blowing toward the jackals! She grits her teeth and freezes in fear. After a few minutes, she realizes the jackals aren't going on the hunt to find and kill them. While the jackals are occupied with their yellow mongoose, Carnation peeps to Sandy. They should use this oppertunity to escape.

Sandy followed Carnation, swiftly moving through the grass. She did not dare look back.

Carnation quickens her pace. She wants to get her and Sandy out of here as fast as she can.

Sandy eventually dared to glance back. The jackals were out of sight. She sighed in relief.

Carnation is still afraid to look back but eventually plucks up the courage to look over her shoulder. She sighs in relief seeing that they aren't being followed by the jackals.

Sandy stood up on her hind legs and looked ahead. There were sand-colored shapes in the distance. Could it be The Oreos? Or could it be a dangerous rival gang? Or perhaps it wasn't meerkat at all...it could be aardvarks or yellow mongooses....hey...it could even be king cobras. She narrowed her eyes.

Carnation also spots the sand colored animals. Curious, she tilts her head to the side. What could they be? She really hopes that she and Sandy have found themselves at the Oreos foraging party. Carnation then bobs her head, tempted to get a closer look.

Sandy peeped at Carnation, asking her if they should take their chances and go take a look.

Carnation points her nose to the air, sniffing to try to catch a scent of what the animals could be but the wind isn't blowing towards them. She looks down at Sandy hesitantly then chirps and nods. They may be taking a huge risk but it could turn out to be one that's worth it.

Sandy took a deep breath and followed Carnation into what could be hope, or extreme danger.
