Having quickly groomed her mate, Morning Glory disappeared into the grass to begin her search for a tasty breakfast.

Having been nipped by the ants several times, Sanders was now furious with their speed and antsy antics that he hopped about yapping before dashing into the grass to try and get them off of his small body.

Jet remained snoozing deep in the burrow.

Seeing that there is an adequate amount of meerkats above ground to keep threats from infiltrating the burrow, Karma heads below ground to check on the pups. Her first stop is at the chamber in which Bahiya's pups are situated. After entering to check up on them, She smiles fondly as she takes notice that their eyes have opened. It's hard to see in the darkness but she manages to make out the rounded shapes of their opened eyes.

Boomslang looks up at the silhouetted adult meerkat figure standing before him and smiles adorably.

Elena continues to forage. She wants to get a meal in before she begins her duties as a babysitter, which she's been learning well.

Karma smiles fondly at Boomslang and gives him a gentle, affectionate nuzzle. She steps back to admire Bahiya's pups. They're absolutely beautiful! No doubt they closely resemble their parents and are most likely carrying their amazing traits.

Boomslang churrs happily as he's nuzzled. He looks up at Karma with curiosity, his head tilted to the right slightly. This is his first time getting a good look at what a meerkat looks like.

Jupiter felt hungry herself, but chose to wait before she would eat.

Karma exits the chamber harboring Bahiya's pups and enters the chamber where Morning Glory's pups are. She smiles fondly as she sees them nestled up to eachother.

Boomslang watches Karma exit the chamber and bobs his head inquisitively. What... what was that creature?

Nashita squeaks excitedly while batting at one of her siblings, trying to encourage them to play with her.

May is Getting Hungry But Digs Softly At The Sand She isnt A Agressive Meerkat Even If She Is Starving . She Finally Uncovers A Millipede She Drags It Across The Sand And Then Gently Bites It She Eats It Quickly But Is Still Hungry . She Finds A beetle And eats It . Now That Her Belly Is Full She Heads Back To The Burrow Early To Babysit . She Heads Below ground To Check On All The Pups . She First Looks At bahiyas Litter And Smiles As She Sees Their Eyes Are open . She Carries On Walking And Checks On Morning Glorys Litter Happy That They Are Ok She Checks On Karmas Litter And Is Hapy To See Karma Is With Them . Confident All The Pups Are Safe She Heads Below ground .

Elena forages some more. It's harder to focus on an empty stomach, so she continues to dig.

May Is Getting Hungry Again So Heads back Out Foraging But Is Stopped In her Tracks Not Far From her Sits An Eagle Owl She Sounds An Alarm As It Takes To The Sky She Runs As Fast And she Can Back To the burrow And Warns The Rest Of The Adults And Tells them To Go Below Ground .

Elena drops a millipede in her mouth and darts underground.

May Makes Louder Alarm Calls This Owl Would Take An Adult If it Wanted To And Some Of The Teenagers Like Elena Were Easy Pickings . She Made Frantic Alarm Calls As This Aerial Predator Started To Chase Something She Hoped it Was A mouse And Not A Meerkat Suddenly It Was All Over And She Saw The Eagle Owl Fly Off With A Mouse . May told The Adults And Elena That It Was All over .

May Stood Up And Started Greeting And Grooming Each Member As They Emerged .

Elena emerges and looks around, before resuming foraging.

Shirley had not made it to the bolthole in time, so she was forced to hide under a bush. She still crouched below, unaware that the threat had passed.

Karma had been below ground during the predator alarm, thus her composed state. Currently in the chamber with her pups, Karma sticks her head out the chamber entrance to see if the other babysitters made it inside safely. Seeing that they have, she exhales a sigh of relief. She's unaware that Shireley has gone missing. Seeing the babysitters beginning to leave the burrow, Karma assumes it must be safe to emerge, but she decides to remain with her pups. She'll worry about her own needs later.

May Goes Down To See If Karma Is Ok And Sees her With Her Pups She Smiles And Watches Them Before Heading Above Ground .

Karma smiles hospitably at May as she manifested at the chamber entrance. She shifts onto her side, allowing her pups to feed.

Entering the territory, Josephine passed over several small dunes and quickly hurried towards the thick bushes that dotted about the scrubland ahead of her. Everything smelled unusual in this part of the desert and nothing like the Willows territory that she’d experienced in the past. Dubious, she rubbed her chin against a sticking out twig, scent marking her path.

Out with the foraging party, Sanders hopped around Morning Glory’s legs barking persistent begging calls hoping to share some of her excavated prey.

Pulling a long pink skink out of the sand, Morning Glory clutched it proudly in her jaws before Sanders caught the swinging bottom half and tugged on it, refusing to let go. Generously, she bit the skink in half and let him carry the meal away from the other pups to eat ravenously in peace.

Closing her eyes, Leaf rested her head on the floor of the burrow and gently dozed knowing her pups were safe with the numerous babysitters above ground keeping watch.

Jet squeaked having been unexpectedly batted by his active sister.

May hadnt Spotted Josephine Yet But If She Did She Would Raise An Alarm Call .

Karma is unaware of Josephine's presence in Tiny Kats territory and is slowly beginning to doze off herself as she nonchalantly feeds her pups. She feels perfectly assured that her pups are safe knowing that there are a few reliable and trusted babysitters above ground to watch for danger.

Nashita toddles around the chamber, where her mother and her siblings are located, with a keen interest to explore. But not being able see clearly is making things a bit challenging for her.

Sherri chirped for no reason and giggled.

Skyler still watched her half sister.

Finding it difficult to see around the clumps of grass, Josephine scrambled up a close plant unaware of the Tiny Kats babysitting burrow close by. With the concern about aerial predators, she scanned the skies watching every movement warily.

Boomslang blinks multiple times, then narrows his eyelids, struggling to see in the dark environment of the burrow.

In Morning Glory's chamber, Nashita sticks her head out the entrance, looking down the burrow tunnel with interest. She wonders how big her burrow home is and is tempted to find out.
