Roleplay- 25th of November

Below ground, Conker stops playing with his brother and looks into the bolt hole tunnel with cautious curiousity. He wonders if it's safe to emerge. He hopes so because he wants to explore!

Linda looks around, keeping a stern eye on her new family.

Ninja uncovers a scorpion and immediately grabs hold of its stinger to prevent it from nailing some painful stings on him. He backs out of his hole and devours the scorpion whole.

Linda bends over to groom the top of her belly and resumes sentry duty seriously.

Duke scans the entire area, watching for predators of all types and rovers alike. He's also wary of rival mobs. Who knows when the Midnights might invade again.

Ninja scours at the ground searching for more prey. His digging has become furious as he is starving and can't wait to find the next item of prey to gulp down his throat and quell the extreme hunger he's feeling in his stomach.

Linda watches Ninja with concern. It would be tragic if he was to starve to death just after being reunited with him for good.

Ninja pulls up a millipede. This filling prey item might just be what he needs to gain back his strength and keep him going for the rest of the day but gaining back the weight he lost will take a little while to accomplish. He drags the millipede across the sand then when he feels it's toxins are completely removed from its curved shielded body he devours it quickly.

Linda stops her sentry duty for a moment to help her mate. She finds a small lizard, kills it, and offers it to Ninja.

Ninja smiles and nuzzles Linda lovingly. He appreciates her concern for his health and eats the lizard she offered him thankingly.

Linda smiles warmly and returns the nuzzle, before standing to resume sentry duty next to him.

Ninja resumes foraging. He looks up briefly and smiles at Linda. Earlier he was looking out for her safty and now she's returning the favor. He has taken notice that they have become protective of eachother since Linda has joined the Jumaa. He'd do anything in his power to keep Linda and their unborn litter safe and he knows she will also do the same. He's delighted to know that now they'll be together for ever and will no longer have to worry about what fates may have met the other on the other side of research area.

Linda looks down at Ninja and smiles again. She's never felt this certain about their litter's chances of survival. She resumes sentry duty.

Ninja pulls up a large beetle and munches it down hungrily. He sighs in satisfaction afterwards as he begins to feel his hunger fade.

Linda sits down to resume sentry duty, easing the strain on her legs to hold up her increased bodyweight.

Ninja sniffs at the ground and catches the scent of another delicious morsel. Determined to get to it and see what it is, he begins to shovel into the ground furiously.

Aliya keeps scanning the area.

Emzio calmly forages around the burrow.

Suri stays below ground. She decided not to emerge until later.

Linda continues sentry duty sitting on her haunches. She realizes this isn't good enough, so she attempts climb up onto a fallen log not too far away, but it's proving difficult with a somewhat limited range of motion and extra weight.

Unaware of Linda's struggle to get up on a higher sentry post, Ninja is fully submerged in his hole. He's dug himself so deep that it's almost like he's creating another burrow. His face and paws are caked with sand and the muscles in his front limbs are burning but he keeps digging. Hopefully what he finds will be worth digging past his limit.

Linda manages to get onto the log and begins sentry duty from there.

ooc: What's going on?

ooc- Nothing. The jackal left and they're just foraging around the burrow.

Ninja spots the sheilded body of a scorpion and rips it up from the sand. He thrashes it around stunning it to prevent it from trying to sting him. He then devours it quickly. His muscles in his front limbs are throbbing in pain but the tiring dig was worth the strain.

Linda keeps watch on the log. She smells something and looks around.

Ninja backs out of the deeply dug hole and sits down on his haunches to rest for a few minutes. He rests his sore front limbs on his haunches and looks around. He hasn't picked up the smell Linda scenses.

Linda spots what's making the smell. A yellow mongoose close by. She eyes their evolutionary cousin curiously.
