Roleplay- 3rd of December

Linda leans more and more heavily on Ninja. Hopefully now and the return trip will be the last time she has to go through this. She's eager to be able to run again, playfight, walk without exhausting herself, and all the other things she can't do now.

Also noticing Linda's struggle, Aliya decides to start foraging here, hoping to make it easier for her.

Suri starts slowly scraping at the sand. She is thinner than usual due to not eating as much as she used to.

Emzio starts foraging happily.

Ninja is slightly forced downward by Linda's weight but he doesn't mind it. Linda needs all the support she can get to be able to get around. Most likely by the end of this day, she'll have her pups and be back to being slim where she'll be able to take part in the activities she misses. He stops as the group arrive at a foraging spot. He checks on Linda making sure she's ok.

Conker squeals in excitement when the group stop at an interesting looking foraging spot. He doesn't hesitate to get right to exploring. He's hungry but he'll eat later.

Aliya eats a scorpion.

Suri digs up an ants nest. She nips at the tiny morsals, but being slow, they quickly cover her. She yips and rolls in the sand, in an attempt to remove them from her fur.

Conker runs over to a shrivelled up rotted dead tree and sniffs it curiously.

Ninja doesn't get to foraging right away. He wants to make sure Linda has enough strength to forage.

Linda sighs in relief when they stop and starts foraging right away. She nods, assuring Ninja she's fine. Linda digs up a millipede and eats it ravenously. She would rather go a day still heavily pregnant and give birth at night at the burrow than have to give birth here during day.

Duke starts to forage.

Ninja stands gaurd next to Linda. He's hungry but is deciding to eat later. He's still over zealously protecting Linda. He doesn't want her to end up alone. If a predator spots her, she won't be quick enough to evade predation and there would go her and the unborn pups' lives, never to be given a chance at life outside their mother's stomach.

Linda continues to forage ravenously. Not only is the pregnancy itself draining, but she will soon be giving birth, as well as needing to provide the pups with milk after that. Contributions to the mob will have to wait for now.

Ninja is very aware of his environment, keeping both his eyes and ears peeled for predators. So far eveything seems tranquil but he doesn't let his gaurd down one bit. With a heavily pregnant female and a group to help protect, he knows better not to slack off on sentry duty.

Linda looks up at Ninja briefly with a smile. His loyalty to her and his willingness to lay down his life to protect her and their pups she's carrying is showing her that he will make a great dad. He has the genes she would want for any pups she bears also.

Ninja catches the quick glimpse of a bird flying passed a tree. He's on high alert but as it reveals itself it turns out to be just a vulture. He's taking his gaurd duty more seriously than usual. His strong devotion of loyalty to Linda and others he cares about could be one of the many traits he and Linda would want for their pups.

Conker tries to climb up the rotted dead tree but keeps slipping and losing his grip on the bark when he attempts to pull himself up to get on to a low somewhat hard to reach branch.

Linda resumes foraging. She finds a scorpion, disarms it, and eats it. She then moves over to another patch a little further away.

Ninja watches Linda closely, making sure she doesn't stray too far from the protection of the group.

Conker growls in frustration. It's just too difficult for him to climb up the tree without any help.

Linda also makes sure to stay close in her hunt for food.

Duke eats a millipede.

Ninja glances at some vegetation. He thought he saw some kind of strange movement but it was only the breeze blowing through the vegetation.

Conker looks up at the dead tree in determination. He doesn't want help getting up there, he'll find his own way.

Linda moves to another spot, this time under a Camal thorn tree. She digs there.

Ninja sounds the watchmen's song, letting everyone know it's safe to keep their heads down as they continue foraging peacefully.

Conker circles the dead tree trying to seek out an easier to reach stub in the bark.

Linda sniffs the tree. It seems there are many prey items living in the bark. She starts to claw at the bark to get the tasty treats.

Duke notices it too and comes over to do the same.

Saffron sees Conker trying to climb the trre and goes over and starts to climb

Ninja notices the prey rich tree but resists the temptation to go over there and feed on the prey items. He's still intent on performing sentry duty.

Conker squeaks happily when Saffron comes over. He looks back up at the tree irritated. He still hadn't found a stub to use as a climbing support yet.

Saffron pushes Conker up

Conker churrs a thank you to Saffron and grabs hold of a stub he discovers. He pulls himself up on the small barky platform.

Duke discovers there are more morsels higher up. He starts to carefully scale the vertical trunk of the tree to get to them.

Linda also notices, but stays at the bottom. It's impossible for her to climb like that in her condition, and risky even if she could.

Ninja looks down as he hears his stomach growl then looks back at the tree, tempted. Perhaps it wouldn't hurt of he took a short break from sentry duty to grab a few morsels for himself to eat. Ninja drops down to all 4s and trots over to the tree.

Conker stares into horizon amazed at how astonishing it looked from up high.

Duke carefully climbs higher and claws some prey items out of the bark higher up. One falls to the ground but he doesn't see it fall.

Linda catches the one that fell in mid-air and eats it quickly, before scavenging the bark at foot level.
