Roleplay- 3rd of December

Lancaster remains near Ashtail. Demon's scent still lingers in the air making him think the rover must be spying somewhere near by, waiting for the right oppertunity to strike. He scans the vegetation with his eyes narrowed in determination. If demon attempts to strike again, he'll do whatever it takes to thwart this sly sinister Romeo. He's unaware that Demon has already made his get away.

Triscuit struggles up the burrow slope, using all the strength in her upper limbs to pull herself up. She refuses to tumble back down this time. She's going to make it to the top without giving in to her painful diability. She sucks in the pain she's feeling in her broken leg and soldiers on to the top of the slope. To her enlightenment, she makes it. She squeals in excitement, proud of her accomplishment.

Back at the foraging party, Tank's ravenous appitite continues. He's found 2 scorpions! It's going to be a challenge if he wants to eat them both successfully. He needs to disarm them both but a meerkat ever accomplishing that hasn't been seen or heard of. He confidently takes on the challenge and jerks at both scorpions but they lash their stingers at him as he does so. He lunges trying to dis arm them but ends up getting 2 painful stings to his nose. He steps back rubbing his nose with one of his front paws.

Ariel eats what Tank gave her and tries to dig for herself.

Tank quickly recovers from the stings to his nose and lundges back with a vegance by swiftly biting off one of the scorpion's stingers. He smashes that scopion repeatedly with his paw, killing it. He plucks it off the ground and munches it down quickly. As he was focusing on scorpion number 1, he hasn't taken notice that scorpion number 2 is making its escape.

Ashtail knew she didn't have much to worry about with the others staying nearby. Weather Demon was still around or not, she didn't feel worried. She closed her eyes slowly, attempting to get more rest.

Tyler smiled at Ashtail

It's been a while since Demon had scurried off and Lancaster hasn't seen or heard him in the area. He settles down assuming that he had left hopefully for good. He side steps a few feet from Ashtail to give her some space. He resumes his position as a gaurd at the burrow entrance. It's back to getting focused on keeping the precious pups below under tight protection.

Triscuit limps over to the adults and plops herself down on her hip beside Bravo. Exerting a high amount of energy to be able to get up the slope in her still weak condition has slightly exhausted her.

Ashtail opens an eye, noticing Triscuit. She looks over at the pup, noticing her leg. She titles her head to the side, curious of what had happened to cause this pup's leg to become like that. She felt sympathetic toward Triscuit, she had a leg that would never heal properly.

Bravo looks down at Triscuit sadly, seeing the extent of the injury caused by his pregnant sister in the sunlight. He wonders if the attacked pups have any memory of what happened. If they did, they only remember his usually sweet sister as a cold-blooded murderer that almost killed them.

Lancaster also looks over at Triscuit sympathetically. Because of Linda, his niece's leg will never fully heal. It's always going to remain in that horrible looking twisted position. He sighs in uncertainty knowing that Triscuit has a challenging life ahead of her. She'll never be able to perform sentry duty and when it comes to having to run for shelter during a predator scare...he lowers his head not wanting to think about what could happen.

Triscuit looks over at the adults. Her listless eyes and sad facial expression give away her unhappiness. Having been blind and deaf at the time she was attacked, she had no idea that it was Bravo's sister but remembers the attack well. Her leg begins to throb as she thinks about the pain she experianced during the attack.

Mozart sympathetically helps clean Triscuits wounds .

Triscuit yips and cringes at the same. The softest touch to her leg still causes unbareable pain but she allows the adult female to groom her still healing wounds. The pain does eventually fade.

Snicker walks over to his sister Triscuit, feeling sorry for her. He can also remember the pain he erxperience, but it was over now.

Buckeye scans the area, warily.

Jackie digs for Meg again.

Meg cries loudly for Jackie to feed her.

Snowflake watches Jackie help Meg forage..

Ashtail watched as Mozart cleaned out Triscuit's injuries. She had to wonder what had happened to cause those injuries, including her leg. But she didn't want to ask questions that might cause distress. For now, she remained silent and laid her head back down.

Triscuit looks up at Mozart with a look of thanks in her eyes. She appreciates the nurturing care and is relieved from the pain for now.

Lancaster scootches over to Triscuit and lies down next to her. He provides her with some grooming as an added relief to her suffering.

Bravo continues to watch Triscuit. If only he had kept a better eye on his sister, this wouldn't have happened.

Tyler sat down

Ashtail watched as the adults tended to Triscuit. She hoped the little pup would be able to recover. She was aware her own injuries would heal up, but she still felt a bit bitter about her fight back in her old mob. Her eviction was an example of what would happen to those who dared try to steal dominance. Sighing, Ashtail knew that was all behind her, but she still couldn't let it go.

Mozart smiled at Triscuit she also offered some grooming

Unaware of Ashtail's thoughts flashing back to her life in her old mob, Lancaster moves his grooming to Triscuit's broken leg. He grooms it gently so as to not irritate the injury. He winces his eyes in disgust feeling the bone beneathe is gruesomely uneven. His heart sinks knowing that it'll permanently be like this. Her future will be uncertain as this disability can often be a death sentance to a meerkat.

Triscuit churrs in relief as the pain eases.

Tyler smiled at Motzart

Ashtail closed her eyes, deciding not to think about what happened in her old mob and try on focusing on recovering her lost strength.

Not sure how to soothe his sister's pain, Snicker stays by Triscuit, wanting to offer her comfort.

Jackie digs up a millepede. She drags it in the sand and plops it infront of Meg.

Meg chirps happily and quickly eats the millepede.

Lancaster sits up and scootches closer to his niece. He wraps his arms around her in a comforting hug and grooms the top of her head to help keep her soothed.

Triscuit looks at her uncle then at her brother Snicker. The comfort of her family is the best medicine she needed.

Snicker nuzzles Triscuit, not sure how else he can help her.

Keeko looked at Triscuit sadly.
Miley climbed ontop of a bush, keeping an eye out.
