Roleplay - 23rd of July 2009

Running Star made a dash for the bolt-hole, snarling as she entered. She was prepared for a tough fight, and angry enough to get the job done.

Streak entered the burrow last, looking around and seeing the Twilights here as well. He fluffed up his fur and snarled at them, shaking the rain from his fur.
Lithium snarled back at Streak, who seemed to be the only male. He bares his teeth, claws digging into the dirt, itching for a fight. It would be easy, anyway, he thought, as he studied the male's injuries and smirked.

Running Star's face contorted in a snarl as she attempted to assist Streak.

Lithium growled at Running Star as well, flexing his claws but not being able to do much else. It was cramped in here; he wouldn't risk a fight in the bolthole, not when he could accidentally injure one of the Twilights by mistake.

Stripe tried to snarl, but it ended up more like a squeak.
Teetsie growled uneasily. She was unwilling to fight, because although she had her enemy cornered, the group pressed her forward and she couldn't escape if she needed to.
Mae stayed near the back, also unwilling to fight.
Click stayed by her, his fur opn end, growling at The Zippers.
Inle just smiled.

Running Star's eyes glowed with anger. She wasn't willing to hurt any of her family by accident, so she stayed where she was.

Teetsie growled. This was all going wrong! She chrred at Lithium for support.
Stripe looked up fearfully. She looked to Running Star. What should they do?

Finally, Running Star bravely charged at Teetsie. She growled and snapped her jaws angrily.

Teetsie snapped back, aiming for her shoulder.
Click pushed forwards, growling at The Zippers.
Mae chirped, the storm had stopped. Teetsie looked over her shoulder, and made a quick exit from the burrow.

Lithium snarled at Running Star and took a step forward, then, hearing the call, backed up a bit, not trusting the Zippers with his back turned.

Teetsie called to The Twilights, urging them to come out of the bolt-hole.
Mae picked up Inle, and took himn outside. Click stuck close to her side, also not trusting the Zippers.
Stripe chrred to Running Star. Should they stay in the bolt-hole or leave?

Running Star chirred and urged her family to stay below ground for a while longer. She groomed Streak, then Stripe, then Lewu, in order to calm them. It calmed her, too.

Lithium growled at them and exited the burrow.

Streak groomed Running Star back, glaring after the Twilights.

Stripe chrred worriedly.
Once everyone had left the bolt-hole, Teetsie looked at the sky. Not willing to be caught out in unfamiliar territory, she called to her mob, and headed for home.
Mae looked over her shoulder. She was glad they were leaving.

Lithium hissed softly, itching for a fight but followed Teetsie.

Streak sighed with relief and nuzzles Running Star.

Teetsie chrred at Lithium. She wanted a fight too, but she was unwilling to get caught in unfamilliar territory.
Stripe stayed in the bolt-hole, shaking.

Lithium nodded then nuzzled her softly.

Dusk and Dawn, who were pinned down in the melee underground, ran along side the family, trying desperately to make it home!

With the Twilights gone, Stripe cautiously left the bolt-hole.
Lewa followed, frightened.

Running Star joined Lewu and Stripe. She scanned the area and sniffed the air to be sure that no other groups or meerkats were nearby. She was a bit shaken, but tried not to show it.

Stripe lay down, her relief clearly showing.

Streak groomed Stripe softly.

Stripe chhred, and groom Streak back.

Running Star began to lead them home to the burrow, taking care not to leave Streak behind.

Streak kept a steady pace, not wanting to tire himself and loose the energy he gained foraging.
