Roleplay -23rd of July 2009

Alex emerges from the burrow. He looks around, and starts to sun himself.
Luke follows, and yawns sleepily.

Hershey is the next up... today, they needed to expand. It was time to establish the Tqizzlers and stop being nomadic. She ran over to Alex and started to groom him.

Alex groomed Hershey back, chrring softly.
Luke stands up, keeping an eye out for danger.

Starburst emerged and began to groom Luke. (Is she still DF? It's fine if she's not, I'm just not sure.)

yep she is :]

ooc: Yeah she is.

bic: Luke groomed Starburst back.

Hersehy scanned the skies, making sure that there was no immediate danger when they started to forage.

Alex followed, and begins to forage.
Luke also forages.

ooc: Ok.

bic: Starburst smiles at Luke, and begins to forage as well.

Alex looked up. He had spotted a movement in the bushes. He alerted the others.
Not far off, wild males Wagner and Vardi watched the group. There were two females, and two males. They stayed in the bushes, not wanting to be seen.

Hershey stopped foraging and looked around, trying to spot the danger. With the group so small, any danger had to be taken very seriously.

Alex growled. He could smell rival meerkats. Luke stood up, growling at the males. This land belonged to the Twizzlers, and they weren't about to give it up.
Wagner went first. He kept low, and crept towards the bushes. He didn't want Luke or Alex to see him, but he did want to be seen by Herhsey and Starburst. Vardi remained where he was, watching his older brother.

Hershey sniffed the air and she definitely smelled a starnger. She ran over to Alex, seekig protection.

Starburst let out a low growl, standing up on her hind legs while watching for any sign of the intruders. She was uneasy, but didn't show it. She had to be strong for her group, afterall.

ooc: My avatar has gone weird...

bic: Alex chhred reassuringly to Hershey. Luke growled, and began scent marking the area.
Wagner contiued to creep to towards the group.

Starburst mumbled and continued to watch the area, her fur bristling.

Vardi crept forward, following his brother, but Alex saw him and ran foraward, growling. Vardi hesitated before fleeing, but he was a moment too late. Alex lunged at him, bitting into his shoulder. Vardi squealed, and shook Alex off. He ran off, as fast as he could, with both Alex and Luke hot on his heels.
Wagner looked up, a little unsure what to do next.

Starburst looked satisfied at the fact that the rover was gone, but, there may be anothre so she remains on guard.

Hersehy watched the boys chase off the rover, and ran over to Starburst. They stared into the brush, checking for other males.

Starburst nods to Hershey and inspects the bushes, sniffing out any scents.

Unnervered, Wagner sneaked off, to find his brother.
Luke ran around, scent-marking madly. He ran over to Starburst, chirping to make sure she was alright. Once satisfied, he then ran over to inspect Hershey.
Alex chhred anxiously to Hershey. Once he felt she was okay, he climbed ontop of a bush to make sure that the males had definately gone.

Starburst smiled at Luke, she was fine. She took one more look around the area, and saw how close the storm clouds were; they looked ready to burst. Unnerved, she chirped to the others, thinking it would be best to at least find a nearby bolthole. It was then that the thunder cracked and she winced, startled.

Luke ran to Starburst's side, before dashing to the nearest bolt-hole.
Alex jumped down and followed. Once inside, he shook himself dry.

Hershey followed, and after one last glance above, ran below.

Starburst was last in, making sure all the family got inside and went inside herself, pressing close to Luke for warmth and grooming the water out of her fur.
