Roleplay -23rd of July 2009

Luke chhred at Starburst, and began to groom her.
Alex pressed against Hershey, chattering worriedly.

Starburst groomed Luke back, listening for any sounds of the storm stopping.

Luke also listened to the storm, waiting anxiously for it to stop.
After a little while, the rains stopped. Luke cautiously left the burrow. He looked around nervously.

Starburst emerged, and looked around.

Alex followed Starburst. He looked up to the sky. It seemed the storm had passed. He just hoped it didn't return.

Starburst sniffed the air. It smelled of newly fallen rain, and the sand beneath her paws was wet, annoyingly sticking to her feet. They might as well forage, before it gets dark, since they didn't get much to eat.

Alex nodded. He was hungry, so was glad to get back to foraging. He soon caught a scorpion, which he ate happily.
Luke decided to be a sentry.

Starburst continues foraging, son digging up a skink and eating it hungrily.

Luke jumped down from his post and walked over to Starburst. He chhred, and started to groom her.

Starburst turns and smiles at Luke, then grooms him back.

Luke chhred softly at Starburst.
With no on sentry duty, Alex stopped foraging and kept an eye out for dangers.

Hershey nuzzled with Alex before sticking her head below ground.

Starburst smiled at Luke, then looked around for a moment.

Alex chrred at Hershey, and stayed by her side.
Luke looked up. What had she seen?

Starburst chirps. Nothing, just making sure it was clear. She smiles at him.

Hershey resumed foraging, and then scanned the area.

Luke sighed, releived. He got back to foraging.

Hershey began to sniff a tree. It smelled like there were bugs in uits bark. She called her grup over to enjoy the feast. She began to climb the tree, crackig at the surface fr the delciious bugs. But with one false move, she fell and slammed hard to the ground. She yelped in pain. She couldn;t move. It felt like her leg was broken. She slowly got up and crouched in agony.

Alex ran over to Hershey's side, chirping worriedly. He pressed close to her, and tried to calm her down by grooming her.
Luke also ran over, worried. He chrred quietly at Hershey. It'd be okay.

Hershey appreciated the company. She staggered to her feet, but rather than hold up the foraging party, she returned to the burrow alone. Upon arrival about 30 minutes later, she hopped inside and went to sleep. Hopefully, by morning, she'd feel better.

Alex followed Hershey. He wouldn't let her go home by herself. He followed her into the burrow, and lay down beside her.
Luke chirped to Starburst. Maybe they should head home too.

Hershey was glad for the company. As she slept, the pain subsided somewhat. By morning, she hoped it would be all good.

Alex curled up by Hershey. He loved her a lot, and hoped that she would heal quickly.
Luke paused, befor joining the others below ground.
