Roleplay- 16th of December

Bahrag sits by the burrow entrance.

Rahkshi chrrs to Black Widow and approaches closer, slowly...

While gazing at the ground, Tank scrapes his claws along the bolt hole floor in fury, his sorrow now replaced with rage. Ghost is a wanted dead meerkat in the Willows eyes and he's determined more than ever to bring the murderous marauder to justice.

Black Widow murmurs softly with passion and slowly inches towards Rahkshi, quickly shortening the distance between them.

Wilson re-emerges and sits outside to rest. Another battle lost.

Sidious had managed to force himself to follow the adults home, but it took his last ounce of strength. The moment he reached the perimeter of the burrow, he collapsed. The pup's breaths were short and sharp, and his hind leg was twisted at an angle that was difficult to look at. It was obvious he didn't have much longer to live.

Sockdolager stopped his romping when he saw Sidious. He turned his head to the adults in confusion, looking for an answer, Hey! What's with him? He was too young to understand Sidious' near death status.

Wilson is in too much pain to pay attention to Sidious. A lot of blood has been lost, and he's become dizzy as well.

Black Widow turns her head in response to her son's question about Sidious' condition. As her eyes meet the gravely injured pup, she squeaks in horror at the sight of his horrific wounds. Her maternal instincts kicking in, she comes to Sidious' aide, delecately licking his wounds. They're filled with dirt so she works quickly to sanitize his gashes to prevent infection from manifesting. Her wounds are also life threatening but she's much more worried about Sidious than she is of herself. It seems becoming a mother has braught out the nurturing, unselfish side of Black Widow.

Kassy tilts her head at the pups question until her eyes meet the bedraggled Sidious,
She rushes over to him and looks at Black Widow before helping to groom his wounds

ooc- Is Sockdolager in the burrow? Because Black Widow's pups are just as old as Linda's.

ooc: They're 24 days old so they're old enough to be above ground.

ooc- Oh I forgot they were born a week early.

ooc: That's ok:)

Black Widow makes eye contact with Kassy as she gave her a worried expression, her own eyes glazed over with worry. She fears Sidious may not make it through the night.

Asuka stops next to her brother, looking as well. While she was too young to completely understand, just something seemed wrong. She couldn't tell what, but from how the adults acted, she knew it was troubling. For now, she watched and waited. This would teach her how to help an injured member once she was older.

Eztli looks over at Sockdolager with concern.

Buckeye looks around. She certainly wouldn't leave until Tank and the others were ready. To be honest, she was also beside herself.

Meg avoids looking at Snicker as she looks around at the other members. She wished things would just get better, but knew that wasn't possible.

Jackie and Snowflake both sit next to eachother, glum looks on their faces.

Sidious peeped a soft thank you to the two females. He closes is eyes and draws his final breath.

Sockdolager cocked his head, still confused. He really wanted to know what was going on, but he got the feeling no one would attempt to explain it to him.

Bravo sighs. One loss after another. Maybe they should take the bodies back to the burrow.

Tank nods in agreement with Bravo. They should give Snicker and Triscuit a proper burial back in Willow's territory. He's ready for what will be a long, gloomy trek back to their land. Gently, Tank grasps his deceased son by the scruff with his jaws. remembering his daughter's body is still located near the border, he moves briskly towards the bolt hole entrance. They need to find her before a scavenging predator does. It'd be terrible if her coffin ends up to be in a vulture's stomach.

At the Midnights, Black Widow's heart shatters as Sidious loses his grip on life in her paws. Her head plops on the pup's side, sobbing uncontrollably. Sidious can't die! He just can't! Black Widow nudges the limp pup roughly, desperately trying to stimulate some kind of movement from him, but it's useless. the poor pup is gone. There's nothing the Midnights can do to bring Sidious back. Black Widow sounds a mournful, enraged caterwaul. It seems bad karma has gotten the Midnights for murdering 2 of Ninja and Linda's pups.

Ashtail follows Tank, also determined to reach Triscuit's body before a scavenger does. It was the right thing to do to give the two pups a proper burial so their spirits could move on.

Asuka looks more confused as Black Widow began to cry. What was going on? Why was she crying over Sidious' body? He was sleeping... right? He'd wake up soon... She continued to watch, soon she'll be learning of death and how life can be taken away so easily.

Wilson is passed out, unaware of the death.

Bravo Follows next to Tank in a gloomy, depressed fashion.

Tank glumly leads the way above ground, glancing around uneasily as he peers his head out from the entrance. The scent of Snicker's blood, as well as from the injured members, will carry on for miles, increasing the risk of luring a predator to their location. They'll need to move fast before things turn dangerous for the group.

Black Widow's face is still burried in Sidious' blood soaked fur, unaware her confused children are watching, wondering what's going on with the dead pup. Her crying winds down to a distraught whimper, tears still drop from her eyes.

Sockdolager stood still. Although he didn't understand what was going on, he did know that Black Widow was clearly upseat. He looked over to Asuka, knowing they both shared this confusion.

Ashtail walked on the other side of Tank, her eyes lowered to the ground. Who knew such a promising day would turn into this? Sighing, she continued to follow Tank and Bravo.

Asuka didn't like seeing Black Widow cry. She knew that meant something was wrong. As she looked at Sidious, she saw the red crimson that stained his fur... What was that? She looks back at her brother, Sockdolager, questioningly. W-What's that liquid in his fur..? I... it smells funny. It... doesn't look right.

As he walks briskly, Tank glances around uneasily, keeping his eyes and ears peeled for any signs that danger could be in the vicinity. The trek is going along smoothly so far but he knows the scent of the blood is tainting the air and is rapidly travelling through Midnight's land in the breeze, so they must remain on high alert and keep moving.

Black Widow nuzzles the deceased Sidious as a way of paying her respects to the lifeless form. It's extremely tragic this innocent pup's life was cut so abruptly short. He didn't deserve to die. She tenses up with anger. Who ever took this innocent pup's life is going to pay dearly!

Sockdolger looked to the blood that Asuka alerted him to. He had no idea what it was, but the smell of it made his skin crawl, I- I don't know.

Ashtail looks around once in a while, well aware her blood, as well whoever else was hurt, can attract predators.

Asuka frowned. Bravely, she approached Sidious' still body and looked at the blood that stained his fur. Being this close made her fur stand on end because of the scent the blood had. It made her feel uneasy, though she had no idea why.

The gash in Tank's thigh is burning. Dry blood is stained around the injury, making him one of the injured more at risk of attracting predators. He pushes forward, ignoring the pain. He's determined to find his deceased daughter's body and won't let his discomfort or the looming threat of predators being nearby slow him down.

Seeing her daughter Asuka approach in the corner of her eye, Black Widow slowly looks up. She notices her daughter is confused about the crimson color stained on Sidious' fur. Black Widow has the urge to explain about the red colored liquid but decides against it. It might terrify her daughter and potentially leave her traumatized if she finds out it's blood.
