Mozart glances worriedly at Tank, her eyes are stained with tears but she marches on determindly

Kassy watches as her tears spills onto Sidious's body and she looks away

Seeing the others were ready, Buckeye decides to lead the group home.

Jackie, Snowflake and Meg glumly follow.

ooc: Dang, I got lost here... Oh well DX

ooc: The Willows were mourning the loss of Snicker and Triscuit and were vowing to kill Ghost, who killed them mercilessly, the next time they see him. Now the Willows are heading back to their land, but first their trying to relocate Triscuit's dead body. At the Midnights, the group is recouperating from the battle. Sidious succumbed to his injuries and the adults are currently mourning his death, while the pups examine the blood that stains his fur out of curiosity.

Ashtail looks ahead as the Willows marched back to their territory. Hopefully, they can locate Triscuit's body, along with the other pups who stayed behind.

Asuka hesitated. The crimson liquid didn't seem normal, and it scared her. But she wanted to know what it was exactly. She looked at Black Widow, curious. W-What is this on Sidious? H... he'll awaken... Right..? She soon may learn what had just happened was called death, and the liquid was blood. The sooner she learned, the more she'll be ready for it in the near future.

Sockdolager gulped nervously. Why did he get the feeling Asuka's question wasn't going to get a straight answer?

Simultaneously with her heart sinking at this question, Black Widow lowers her head glumly, reluctant yet needing to explain to Asuka and Sockdolager that Sidious is gone. N-no he won't. He's dead. The red liquid in question is called blood. Shed by the enemy. Black Widow's heart shatters, knowing this discovery will traumatize the curious pups. But they had to know so they could be prepared for this in the future.

With the deceased Snicker gently in his grasp, Tank marches forward at the front of the Willows, staring straight ahead intently. He too hopes to comes across Triscuit's dead body and the other pups soon.

Asuka's heart felt as if it stopped. Dead..? Blood!? She was slowly learning of it, but now actually witnessing it, it made her stomach turn. She looked back at Sidious, her vision fogging up from tears that began to form in her small eyes. It didn't take long for her to start weeping, slowly understanding that Sidious was never going to wake up.

Eztli looks at Sidious' body, glumly. The group had now lost more than a battle today...

Buckeye can see the border. She continues walking in a slower pace, but soon crosses over into Willow's territory.

Jackie and Snowflake follow, both relieved they are now on safer grounds.

Meg also follows. She had changed when Snicker had died. She wasn't cheerful anymore. Her personality had darkened more than many would expect. She was still unaware of how much darker her personality would become in the weeks that would follow.

Black Widow's heart aches seeing Asuka sob. She feels miserable for breaking the tragic news to her, but she made the right decision of explaining to her what happened to Sidious. It's a hard lesson learned, but at least she'll be ready to face future deaths, resulting from the 1,000 ways the Kalahari can kill, which she'll eventually learn about too.

Tank follows Buckeye over the border, his son still grasped gently in his jaws. The loss of his 2 children has forever changed him. He won't be the easygoing male he once was. His aspect of strangers will be of mistrust and suspicion. He'll be much more protective of his remaining litter, not allowing them to stray even a mere 5 feet from him. His first likely transformation will be a downspiral into a depressive state.

Bravo crosses the border.

Wilson reawakens and, unaware of the death, starts to navigate into the burrow.

Hearing Black Widow's answer, Sockdolager felt a lump in his throat. Not going to wake up? Ever? He turned to Asuka and saw his sister weeping. Despite his own shock and fear, he ran over to her and nuzzled her gently to comfort her.

Asuka felt her brother nuzzling her and she returned the nuzzling, glad for her brother's comfort. It was heart breaking knowing that a fellow pup was never going to wake up. Nor will he ever get to play with the other Midnight pups, experience what life had to offer, and mature into a promising member. But, at least Sidious was in a better place now.

Sockdolager smiled despite his own distress. Sidious could no longer feel any pain, you can't feel pain when you're not awake.

Her maternal instincts kicking in, Black Widow inches toward her children, offering them a comforting nuzzle as she pulled them closer to her for a snuggle. Losing Sidious was a huge blow to the Midnights. He was just a pup, one of the mob's valuable future generations, who's life was cut tragically short by the claws and jaws of a blood thirsty rival. It's tragic to know he'll never get to experience the adventures of growing up and will never get to earn his keep in the mob. But he's in a better place now where he'll always be safe and sound.

Eztli looks around warily once again, trying to ignore his aching wounds, especially his paw.

Asuka instinctively cuddles against Black Widow, thankful for her comfort. She buries her small face into Black Widow's fur, still sobbing a bit. It was just unbearable to know that she'd never get to see Sidious ever again. Not until she died herself, maybe. But that hopefully won't be happening for a long, long time.

Black Widow grooms Asuka comfortingly on the top of her head, tears still streaming down both sides of her face. Her heart breaks, both for her children having to endure such a horrific and tragic event and for Sidious, who will no longer be emerging from the burrow with his family. She desperately wishes to know who took the innocent pup's life so she can bring them to justice, but it's likely in the chaos, no one saw the culprit responsible.
