Roleplay- 16th of December

Akita was about to boldly bound after the others, but decided to fall back. she didnt want to die or get injured today....

Mischka leaps a few inches off the ground with a startled yelp and jerked his head towards Petal as he heard her strange sounding alarm call. He glances around frantically, thinking a predator had been spotted. Then his eyes meet the source, a starling, which is perched on the tree branch, pleasantly grooming itself. Is that what spooked Petal? It had to be since the alarm call sounded in coincedance to its appearance. Relieved it was a false alarm, Mischka resumes foraging but keeps his gaurd raised incase he has to act quickly in the event of a real predator alarm.

Cactus hears the alarm and keeps his head low so that he won't be caught by the predator. Unlike the adults, he doesn't realize the bird provides no threat. After a few seconds of the adults not responding, Cactus relaxes and continues his advance to the Midnights with his family.

Petal notices Mischka's reaction which caused her to feel further embarrassed. She didn't mean to make a false alarm. That bird just really startled her! She sighed heavily, shaking her head and attempts to go back to her sentry duty, trying to ignore what just occurred.

Mischka doesn't notice Petal's embarrasment. It doesn't bother him that she sounded a false alarm, he's just relieved it wasn't a bird of prey sneaking up on them.

Shallow is wandering around in disorientation through jumma territory, desperately searching for a new mob to call home after losing all hope of finding his original mob he has become seperated from.

ooc: I think that the Jumaa are already in Midnights territory and left thier own.

Mischka uncovers some beetle larvae, which he didn't have to put much effort in digging up, and begins gobbling them down happily. He's unaware a lost and disoriented pup is heading towards the burrow.

ooc: No it's ok. Shallow will be approaching the burrow where Mischka, Petal and a few others are babysitting.

Petal continued to do sentry duty, not yet spotting Shallow.

ooc: oh ok

Mischka continues dining on his beetle entree happily. After this, he should be good to go for the rest of the day.

Shallow wearily stumbles around the territory, his vision is a little blurred from lack of sleep and is weak from the desert hotness and lack of food.

Petal soon catches a scent. She blinks, sniffing. It smelt like another meerkat? Curious, but also cautious, the teenager went to investigate, unknown she was about to encounter a lost pup.

Shallow heres rustling in the distance, startled he looks for a place to hide and to his surprise he finds a thin type of bush even though not a good hiding spot he goes and tries to hide in the thin bush.

Mischka picks up the strange scent too and stands tall on his hind legs to scan the area for the source. He then sets about investigating the vegetation around the burrow. The scent is potent and is of meerkat decent. Could there be a rover or potential newcomer in the vicinity? He won't know until he searches the area thoroughly.

Akita, feeling scared, waddled up to petal, but shockingly found her wrapped around a new pup. Curling around him as well, she groomed his ear, wanting him to feel welcome.

After a bit of searching, Petal finds Shallow. Almost quickly, her motherly instincts kick in. How could she harm such a cute little pup!? She chrrs softly, trying to encourage Shallow out of his hiding spot. She wouldn't harm him. The poor thing... She now just wanted to help the poor thing and nurture him back to health. It would be up to Aliya if this pup gets to stay. Until then, she would happily take care of the little guy.

((OOC: Wait, isn't Kaz apart of the Oreos? This is the Jumaa. xP))

Shallow slowly emerges from the bush looking at the blurred figure, he can tell its a meerkat but doesn't know if it will kill him or not and doesn't know what to do.

ooc: What's Kaz doing in Jumaa territory?

Mischka continues searching the vegetation around the burrow, unaware that Petal has stumbled upon a bewildered and weakened pup. He's coming up empty so he decides to expand his search further from burrow grounds.

((OOC: I was wondering that myself.))

Petal instinctively curls her body around Shallow, chrring gently to ensure he was safe now. She wouldn't hurt him. For now, she wanted to be able to earn the pup's trust before taking him back to the burrow. He looked like he needed a lot of love and care, and the Jumaa was the perfect mob for him. She had no doubt that Aliya, once she came back from the revenge mission at the Midnights, wouldn't turn away a pup in need.

Shallow felt safer and in his instincts didn't think this meerkat would hurt him she seemed nice so he trusted her.

Before hastily setting off, Mischka takes a few moments to thoroughly sniff the air, trying to get a general idea of what direction the scent seems to be more potent in. He slowly rotates, completing a 360 degree circle. The scent seems to be strongest off towards the east. Having an idea where the stranger is located, he sets off towards the east.

Petal feels satisfied. Shallow seemed to trust her now. She carefully picks him up by the scruff of the neck and began to head back to the burrow. The other babysitters should willingly accept him. He was such a cute little guy... Who could say no to his adorable face? She doesn't know she was going to be encountering Mischka soon.

Shallow wonders where this meerkat is taking him he remembers his frightful memories of wandering around in the desert alone so he would much prefer this.

After a while of trekking across the sand, Mischka's eyes meet a teenage meerkat in the distance, appearing to have a pup gently gripped in her jaws. He recognizes the meerkat to be Petal and walks with a brisk pace in her direction eager to investigate the precious cargo she's carrying.
