Roleplay- 16th of December

((OOC: Adult? xD Petal's a teenager. Probably from a distance she could look like an adult I suppose. x3))

Petal spots Mischka and eagerly, trots up to him, still carrying weakened and dazed Shallow in her jaws gently. She looks at the adult male questioningly, as if asking if she could take Shallow back to the burrow. She knew Mischka had a soft spot for pups, most of the mob did. How could he say no? He just couldn't do that! It'd be heartless! And little Shallow needed help!

Shallow sees a figure in the distance thinking its a predator he starts to panic.

As Mischka approached, his heart instantly melts as his eyes lay upon the adorable wide eyed tyke in Petal's compassionate and gentle hold. Of course she could take him to the burrow! He wouldn't dare deny a pup. He isn't that heartless, far from it. Despite being an irresponsible babysitter, he adores pups and would do anything for them. Noting Shallow's scruffy appearance, sympathy glints in Mischka's eyes. Awwww poor little guy. He must've been wandering the harsh desert for some time. He's glad to see he's alive and that fate was kind enough to put him on a chanced cross path with a kindhearted Jumaa member. Ending up in the Jumaa mob will be the best thing to ever happen to this bundle of joy. He's sure everyone will love Shallow and will accept him as being one of their own. As the pup suddenly paniced at the sight of him, Mischka startles with jerky jump, not expecting the pup to freak out. He compassionately nuzzles the pup and coos softly trying to calm him.

Shallow thinks this must be petals friend so he calms down a little bit.

Linda has finished foraging and comes to investigate herself. Seeing that Petal has found a young pup, she comes over and sniffs the pup before giving Shallow a nurturing nuzzle. From the looks of it Shallow doesn't look too well.

ooc- Does she drink milk still?

ooc: what does ooc mean XD? And are you talking about shallow? Because shallow is a "he" lol but it sounds like a girl/guy name o-o if u are talking about him idk i really dont know much about meerkats i just watched the meerkat manor hes 1 month old but i would like to know more if u could give me some tips!

ooc- Sorry. I thought Shallow was a girl. "ooc" means out of character. You post it in front of anything said outside of the roleplay.

ooc- I couldn't find any info on meerkat pups but since he's one month I think Shallow cans till drink milk.

ooc: I think he can. I read a meerkat info site that mentioned what age meerkat pups are usually weaned. I think it said they stop drinking milk at 2 or 3 months old. Not sure thoughXD

Linda starts to groom Shallow and feels taking him to the burrow is the best choice, so she picks him up by the scruff of the neck and starts to take him inside.

Shallow doesn't mind her picking him up since he trusts her and cant wait to see where hes going.

((OOC: According to Wikipedia, pups are weaned from milk around 49 to 63 days of age.))

Petal feels relieved as Mischka, Akita, and Linda openly welcome Shallow. She had nothing to worry about. No one in the Jumaa would turn away such an adorable pup, especially one in need. She lets Linda take the little guy from her and follows the adult female, eager to help nurture Shallow back to health.

Linda's maternal instinct's kick in as she carries Shallow inside and sets him down in one of the chambers lower down, passing Ninji and Tyson as she does so. Once she sets him down, she cuddles Shallow close to her and lets him feed since she assumes he must be hungry.

Tyson sees his mother pass by with a new pup in her mouth. Thinking this pup may be a new playmate, he chases after his mother and follows her into the chamber.

Shallow feels safe now, after hes done feeding he stares at tyson he looked alot like one of his old littermates which he missed so much.

Mischka watches the females decend into the burrow with Shallow in their nuturing care for a moment before taking up sentry duty in front of the entrance. While they tend to the weakend pup, he'll keep watch for ground predators who may have picked up the adorable pup's scent and may try to barge into the burrow to get to him. Mischka is determined not to let that happen. He'll defend the potentially new addition to the Jumaa and babsitters below with his life.

Ninji also sees the pup in her mother's hold and eagerly follows her brother after her. She's excited to meet the newcomer and also hopes to become friends with him.

Petal follows Linda into the burrow, grinning. She knew she did the right thing. Now Shallow had another chance at life and had a new loving family. She was confident Aliya and Duke would accept Shallow no questions asked. She watches as Tyson and Ninji eagerly go meet Shallow, with a smile. He had more than enough playmates here and loving adults to nurture him back to health.

Shallows vision gets a little better being able to fully recognise tyson and others.

Linda quickly starts to bond with Shallow. The loss of two of her six pups the week before have left her feeling... empty inside. Shallow may end up filling that void partially, but he can never replace the lives cut short by the Midnights.

Tyson walks over and sniffs Shallow curiously. This older pup looks like a good play mate.

Shallows frozen having not seen a pup younger then him before he feels the safest with linda and assumes this must be one of her pups.

Ninji prances over to Shallow eagerly. She copies her brother Tyson and sniffs the older pup out of curiosity then peeps a friendly greeting. She's looking forward to making a new friend and playmate.

Petal watches Tyson and Ninji interact with Shallow, smiling. It was so adorable!

Shallow sniffs ninji too, then he looks around at all the eyes of meerkats.
