Roleplay- 4th of January

Linda looks at the other two pups, to make sure they're okay as well. She refuses to allow more of their pups to be lost.

Phoebe starts to slow down as well, panting. She wasn't quite ready to do this walk like her siblings. However, she kept trying to keep up, mainly with Ponda.

Petal watches Phoebe struggle to keep up. She walks over and picks the female pup by the scruff, deciding to help her out. Linda and Ninja were already carrying two of their pups.

Root follows his sister and decides to carry Ponda.

Ninja glances over his shoulder, making sure his other 3 children aren't falling behind. He's determined to prevent his 4 remaining offspring from falling prey to this hostile environment. Seeing that Linda is carrying Tyson, Petal is carrying Phoebe and Dellie is trotting at the back of the foraging party, maintaining a safe proximity to the adults, he's relieved to know they're safe.

Duke heads back and picks up Dellie as well, then returns to the front. Subordinate litter or not, they're still the future.

Ouija sticks close to the mob, assisting in keeping a close gaze on the pups; Ouija had always been fond of children, and considering the Jumaa were now his family, these young ones were too his family members and friends. He wanted to assure nothing in the volatile environment of the Kalahari larcenized their young lives.

Cloud is following the group, keeping his eyes on the pups. He sees that Comet has fallen behind, and goes to make sure he is okay.

Ninji is grateful to her father for coming to her aid. She exhales a sigh of relief as the burning sensation in her leg muscles fade. Mentally, she’s ready to take on the biggest and most precarious challenge of her life, but it’s already proving to be physically overwhelming for her. However, she’s determined to conquer what ever obstacles are in store for her today. For the time being, she can enjoy the beautiful sights and soothing sounds of her new environment while she dangles from her father’s mouth.

Limping, Comet glances down at Cloud... He smiles a little sheepishly and peeps, his back leg is paralyzed and therefore he's slower than the others...

Tyson saways back and forth while being carried by his mother, asorbing the scenery.

Ninja scrutinizes the skies while maintaining a firm but gentle grip on his daughter. He's relieved to see there's no sign of danger in the immediate area. So far, things are going according to how the mob wants it to be, tranquil. He remains on guard, knowing things could take a turn for the worse in an instant.

Once at the forging spot, Aliya took a moment to scan the area. With Linda and Ninja's pups finally joining them, she didn't want to take any chances. Once ensured the area seemed safe, she began to forge.

John starts to forge as well, deciding to take on sentry duty after he got some food. This was a big day for the four pups, besides their first time emerging from the burrow, and he wanted to ensure nothing bad would happen.

Once with the others, Root placed Ponda down, being careful since he knew the poor thing had sustained brain damage from Iblis' attack. Had to be delicate with a pup with it.

Petal shows up not long after her brother and places Phoebe with Ponda. It was cute, seeing the half siblings being so close. It reminded her of herself and Root and how close they were.

Cloud chirped to Comet. He was going to stay with him, even if the rest of the group didn't.

Once they reach the spot, Linda sets Tyson down and stands up to take sentry duty.

Tyson's first instinct is to explore his new evironment, and he starts walking around.

Duke starts to forage.

Once at the foraging grounds, Ouija is hesitant to beginning the foraging. With the mob's delicate mortalizations of the future out and about for the first time, his adamant, unyielding determination has set in to assure he helps in promoting the children's safety. So, instead of hunting for himself, he decides to hunt for one of the pups first. Sniffing about, he soon detects a hole in the biege sand- a scorpion den! Chirping, he begins to bulldoze into the sandy ocean, quickly approaching the prey within. After a few minutes, Ouija withdrew from the hole with a large scorpion wrestling with him; the terrified arachnid pinched and clawed at the mongoose, dead-set on evading Ouija's plan to make him a pup's breakfast. But the Jumaa male prevailed; with a quick crunch of the scorpion's head, the creature died. Picking up the large scorpion, Ouija glanced about for a pup awaiting breakfast.

Once the Jumaa reach their desired foraging destination, Ninja scrutinizes every inch of the foraging patch and what surrounds it, making sure it's completely safe before deciding to allow his daughter to explore her new environment. It's his and Linda's pups' very first time away from the safty of the burrow. He's determined to prevent another misfortune from happening to his family. If he were to lose another pup to this volatile and unforgiving place, it's certain he'd spiral into a depression and die. He wouldn't be able to bare going through another tragic ordeal. He's so fond of his pups and mate that he'd give his life for them to ensure they'd make it out of a perilous situation alive.

Ninji gazes at the lush and beautiful foraging patch with awe. So this is their destination? It looks absolutely spectacular! She squirms in her father's grip, causing herself to sway from side to side strongly. She wants to get out of her father's protective grip and explore right now!

Phoebe had been enjoying the sights while Petal had carried her. It was so beautiful... but one day, her and her siblings would have to learn just how dangerous this beautiful land truly was. Once Petal placed her down, Phoebe instantly went over to Ponda and looked around, watching the adults as they forged. What were they doing?

Tyson paws at his mother, hungry again.

Rather than let him suckle, Linda gets down on all fours and starts sniffing the ground. She smells something underground and digs up a beetle. Smiling, she sets the beetle down in front of Tyson.

Tyson looks at it curiously, initially thinking it's something to play with.

((OOC: Since Ninja's recovering, I'm going to do my plot with Petal dying from a snake bite either on the next roleplay day or the day after that. I want the Jumaa to have a nondramatic day for once, otherwise, I'd do it on this day.))

Aliya continued to forge, finding a slink and killed it, before she began to devour it.

John began to dig into the ground, smelling something good.

Root finds a grasshopper and grabs it before to hopped away, munching on it happily.

Petal digs around, finding a lizard and grabs it by the tail. When she tried to lift it, it disconnects its tail, falling down and scampers off. She blinked, dumbfounded. She had no idea lizards could do that!

ooc- Actually the next rp day is when Linda will dissappear.

ooc: It's probably a good idea to wait until the RP day after the next. Meyerm plans to have Linda disappear during an emergency on the next RP day. It could be during the puff adder attack you plan for Petal but I'm not sure if she already planned out what the emergency will be. I'm kinda hoping for a tranquil day for the Jumaa. I think having a dramatic event occur on the day the pups leave the burrow for the first time is too early.



Assured that there's no sign of danger in the immediate area, Ninja places his daughter down on the soft sand, keeping her under tight supervision as she begins padding over to a patch of devil's thorn flowers. It's very easy for a 3 inch high pup to become seperated from the adults in that type of vegetation as it is higher than they can stand and obstructs their ability to see where the adults are. Knowing his daughter will attempt to slip into the Kalahari jungle to explore, he's ready to act the moment he sees her make the daring move. He won't allow her to leave his sight for even a mere minute. When he sees her attempt to do something dangerous, he won't hesitate to forbid her from doing so. He trusts a reliable adult is already supervising his other 3 children so he focuses on watching the inquisitive Ninji for the time being.

Ninji's gleaming with awe hazel eyes are locked on the beautiful yellow flowers. Wow what are those things? Whatever they are they're so pretty! She continues inching towards them, eager to investigate this beautiful flower.

ooc- The emergency won't involve snakes I can tell you that now, but it will involve predators.

ic- Tyson looks at the beetle, and seeing the adults eating solid foods similar to it, he figures out it must be adult food. He inspects the beetle, nips at it, and starts to eat it with an odd reaction, having never tried solid food before.

Linda watches with a smile. It will be a few more weeks before they're fully weaned, but it's good to introduce them to solid foods now.

Duke uncovered a millipede and rolls it around in the sand before eating it.

((OOC: Ah, okay. I'll hold my plot off for Meyerm to do hers. Wouldn't want to mess it up for you.))

ooc- Linda will return the day after she dissappears or two days later, not sure at the moment.

ooc: Maybe I'll just quit this and five other mobs because this is not working for me T_T
