Roleplay- 4th of January

ooc: I agree this mob moves too fast. Despite our efforts to keep things slow, the pace is still fast in this mob as it is the most popular one on the site. I've been working on posting here less and I'm considering limiting my characters to 2 here in the future to make things a bit easier.

ooc: I may take Fly somewhere else. Comet may get close to Cloud and Ponda is close to Pheobe so...

But if only two people limit it to two we still are't going to get anywhere.

ooc: Ok.

True. Gaah, lol, I meant to make it easier for me to keep up when things get hectic with posting. I'm getting tired of having to post for 4 (well was 4) characters in the most active mob on the site.

ooc- I can't cut one of my characters here out so I only have 2. Duke is DM, Linda stays with Ninja regardless, and Tyson is just a little pup. I'm conent with only 7 characters on the entire site, but they're all irreplaceable and I don't want to kill or move any of them, at least not yet. Wilson will eventually be killed, and maybe Elena too.

ooc: Heh.

How about we say no drama here for a while then after what we have planned?

bic: Comet is quite a ways behind the group now... He can't see them anymore... He's sure he'll catch up eventually... He's glad to have Cloud as company... The little pup is quite cute... He smiles down at her, thankful.

ooc: Agreed.

Ninji sniffs a devil's thorn flower curiously, churring with pleasure as she took in a whiff of its pleasant fragrance. Wow, this strange thing sure has a lovely smell to it. She continues sniffing the flower, thoroughly enjoying its scent.

Ninja watches his daughter investigate the devil's thorn flower closely, ready to pull her away from the flower patch if he sees her attempt to venture into its density.

Saffron starts to dig near conker conker also starts to dig.

Aliya finished the slink she found before she resumes her forging.

John would often share the morsels he found with Velmarie. It seems he's become more attached to her over the time he's spent with her. He never wanted to leave her side.

Root grabs a millipede, riding of its toxins after rubbing it on the ground after a few minutes and began to eat.

Petal shook off her shock at what the lizard did and ate the tail she still held. It wasn't too filling, so she resumes her forging.

Phoebe's stomach growls, making her realize she was hungry. She looked around, unsure of what she should do. Was this when she and her siblings were going to learn what the adults ate and they would get to try? She starts to try and see if she could forge like the adults.

Ponda picks up a small beetle that he finds and gives to to Pheobe... He peeps, telling her to eat it...

Phoebe looks at the beetle, curious. So, it wasn't a toy? She remembered she had seen one a week back and tried to play with it alongside Ninji, not eat it. Trusting her half brother's words, she began to devour the beetle. Mmm, crunchy, but also had an interesting taste.

Tyson finishes the beetle his mom gave to him, and looks up at her, curious to know what else there is to try.

Pheobe seems to have taken to eating solid foods well so far... Ponda smiles at this and turns to dig again. He's limping a little though and his digging is slow due to this...

Comet continues walking near Cloud, trying to catch up to the group. His progression is slow, as he can't use one of his back legs at all.

Unlike her siblings who are eager to learn about what the adults eat and what skill they'll need know to be able to gain access to their commonly underground live prey, Ninji is showing no interest in wanting to get a taste of solid food for the first time, nor is she interested in wanting to learn the digging technique at the moment. She's keen to explore every part of this vast foraging patch. She crawls on the fringes of the devils thorn flower patch, sniffing the ground curiously. She tips her head with curiously occassionally as she takes in whiffs of all sorts of strange scents.

Ninja follows closely behind his daughter, determined to ensure where ever she goes, she stays safe and supervised by him at all times.

Saffron finds a scorpian she disarms it

Cloud chrrs worriedly. He gives Comet a gentle and encouraging nudge. While the group were out of sight, they shouldn't be too far away. Cloud starts calling to the group, hoping one of the adults would hear his cries.

Ouija's alert senses magnetize over to Cloud, hearing his worrisome cries. The male quickly made his way over- as best he could anyway, taking into consideration his immortal limp- and churred anxiously, checking everything was okay.

Comet looks at Ouija and tries to make his way over to the male, dragging his leg behind him as he usually does. He chirps, informing him that he had fallen behind and that Cloud had stayed back with him.

Ouija whines sympathetically, licking the young one's head encouragingly. Picking Comet up, he gives a muffled chirp to Cloud, smiling with a nod; the pup could've gotten lost and liably killed if it hadn't been for him! Ouija trotted back toward the group, carrying Comet in his mouth gingerly.

ooc: Comet's an adult.

ooc: Just so you guys are aware, I'm gonna be away from the 'puter most of the day tomorrow. I'd much appreciate it if you kept the posting slow while I'm gone I don't wanna miss too much of something important. I should be back by approximately late evening.

Ninji blinks as Saffron placed a lifeless, strange looking creature, known as a scorpion, in front of her. What is that wierd looking thing? She bends her head down, giving it a curious sniff.

Ninja watches his daughter inspect the scorpion with an amused smile. He emits a peep, telling her that the strange looking creature is called a scorpion and it's part of a meerkat's diet. It's known to have a painful sting packed with a lethal dose of venom, but since meerkats are immune to their venom, it won't cause any ill effects. The area around the sting mark may swell a lttle but the sting won't kill a meerkat.

Ninji had listened to her father very intently. She tips her head to the side, intrigued. So this strange looking thing is called a scorpion? And it has a venomous sting?! Yikes! She's glad she's a meerkat, otherwise, she'd be in serious trouble if she were to get stung by this nasty bugger as another animal. Eventually, she'll be taught how to handle this notoriously volatile prey when it's alive. Having learned it's edible, Ninji doesn't hesitate to experiment. She takes a bite of the scorpion. It has a crunchy texture but a delicious taste. It's absolutely scrumptious!

ooc- Coincidentally I'll be gone much of tommorrow also at the Chicago air show.

ic- Linda watches their children closely. They seem to be keeping out of trouble for now, but she's not taking chances.

Saffron smiles and goes to dig again

Cloud sighed with relief when Ouija showed up. He didn't know how they were going to get Comet back to the group, but he felt safer with another adult with them.

((OOC: No problem. My nieces and nephews are visiting anyhow, so, I'll let my niece come on later so she can catch up and post. ^^))

Aliya continued to forge, unaware of Comet's struggles.

John was more focused with Velmarie and forging.

Root is also oblivious.

However, Petal had heard Cloud and was coming over a little bit after Quija showed up. She looks over at them questioningly. Since she was mute, she couldn't ask what was going on.
