Roleplay- 4th of January

ooc: Oh yeah XD For some reason, I keep imagining them as pups XD

John looks around the area, deciding to keep an eye out for danger. With two injured meerkats, predators might become attracted.

Petal smiled and touches noses with Orkid. She was so cute, despite being younger. She was a teenager after all.

Ninja watches with adoration as Petal and Orkid touched noses. Aww that's so cute. His heart melts as he continues to watch the adorable interaction.

Orkid giggled softly and churred at Petal..she then looked at Katina an nuzzled her side..

Katina gave a sharp look at Orkid..then glanced around..

Kinkajou smiled.. Awww! That was so cute!

Sunbeam growled as she didn't get any attention..she stomped over to her mother and looked up at her with big eyes..

Phoebe looked down when Ninja scowled herself and Ponda. She... she only wanted to help, she sweared! She still didn't understand just how dangerous the Kalahari was. She looked up in time to see Orkid and Katina. She yelped in shock before looking up at Ninja with fearful eyes. D-Daddy... W-What happened t-to those t-two!? She stayed near Ponda, scared and worried.

As he heard his daughter's concerned question, Ninja gazes down at Phoebe, frowning, unsure of what happened to Orkid and Katina himself. I-I don't know what happened to them. I'm not positive but, from the looks of their wounds, it-it looks as if they had been attacked by a predator. He returns eye contact with the injured newcomers, frowning with sympathy, imagining they must be in terrible pain considering how hideous the wounds look. Poor girls. If they were assaulted by a predator, he's grateful fate had given them the chance to survive. But they aren't out of the woods yet. They're still at risk of developing an infection. But as long as the Jumaa keep their wounds sanitized, they should recover without having their health compromised.

Ponda rubs up against Katina like a cat and chrrs. He's not really acknowledging their nervous behaviour. But as weird and friendly as he is her smiles up at the two females. He tilts his head. Did mommy attack you too? Those in the Jumaas will know what he's talking about...

Fly looks around. She now notices that several members are missing. She peeps to Aliya, worry in her eyes. She wants to make sure everyone's ok... There's been alot of misfortune lately.

Aliya was munching on a lizard she found when she hears Fly. She blinks and looks at the young pup, listening to her. Finally, the dominant female does notice some members were missing. She felt worried. H... Had some of the Jumaa gotten lost? She stood on her hind legs, scanning the area for any signs of the missing members.

Root was still panicking, worried Petal could be hurt, or worse... He doesn't notice the other missing members.

John looks around still, wanting to ensure no predators were around. The two that were hurt were lucky to escape with their lives.

Petal frowns as Ponda asked if the two meerkats had been attacked by their mother. She felt sympathetic for him. He understood how it felt... She looks back at the two meerkats, awaiting for an answer.

Ninji looks at Fly, watching her look around with a look of concern on her face a little confused. Had Fly seen a potential threat? As she heard the young female express her worry for some of the members' saftey, Ninji looks over the mob, at last taking notice several are missing, including her father and siblings, Ponda and Phoebe. Hey, wh-where's dad, Ponda and Phoebe? She begins to panic, guessing they got seperated and thinking they could be in grave peril.

A flashback of Iblis brutally attacking Ponda plays in Ninja's mind as he heard Ponda question Katina and Orkid if it was their own mother who wounded them. He shivers, hoping that isn't what happened. Enduring that horrible experience the first time was painful enough. If he finds out if Katina and Orkid were injured by their own parent, he'll be outraged and be pushed to do something drastic, find the mother and deal her a brutal penalty for her callous deed, like he wants to the next time he sees Iblis.

Orkid looks at Ponda and tilts her head..she then glanced at Ninja and raised her eyebrows..

Katina growled softly as she heard Ponda question them..did...did..his mother attack him? she lowered her head softly and shook it.. No..well you see Orkid was only a pup when my mother's group found her..my mother was her only protector..but..when...when...she..she went missing..no one was there to protect her..my daughter..Burdock gained dominance and attacked Orkid..the group turned on her..one day I couldn't take it and tried to help..but they turned on me as well..I was quickly evicted and could only watch as she endured more torture..I slowly joined back and ran away with Orkid..we've been in your territory for a couple of weeks..

Orkid lowered her head and let the tears flow..she sobbed softly and lay down..whimpering..

Kinkajou frowned and nuzzled Orkid reassuringly..she growled..she'd never let her daughter attack a pup...

Sunbeam didn't understand and looked up at her mother... Mummy..what are those water like things coming out of her eyes..?..Kinkajou chuckled softly and nuzzled her daughter... They're called tears darling..they normally appear when your sad..

Aliya frowned, growing more worried as she couldn't see the other members. She notices Ninji was freaking out and goes over to her, nuzzling her to try and calm her. She peeps, trying to reassure Ninji that she's sure the missing members will show back up. Maybe they just found something and didn't come back yet. At least, that's what she hopes.

Root can't take it anymore and bolts off, determined to find his sister and now he's noticed others are missing, to also find the missing members. Maybe they were together... He sure hoped so.

John hears the story and can't help but feel his heart breaking. What a sad story... He growls silently. How low could one get? He glares off into the distance, as if to give the group the two came from a warning if they showed up, he'll kill them all for what they've done.

Petal whines, feeling sympathetic for the two. When Orkid began crying, the mute teen quckly was at her side and began to nuzzle her, attempting to comfort the poor girl.

At Aliya's comforting touch, Ninji settles down a little, cheering up more as she's reassured that her father and the others will return eventually. She believes the female leader's explaination of why they haven't come back yet and fully relaxes. Curiosity is one of a meerkat's essential instincts so it'd explain why they haven't shown up yet. Soon enough, she's back to exploring her surrounds. Once in a while though, she'd glance off into the distance with a worried expression. She hopes investigating something is what they're doing and they're not in grave peril.

Ninja gnashes his teeth in anger as he listens to Orkid and Katina's somber story. Those meerkats should pay for betraying these poor individuals. And they were their family?! This is an outrage! He snarls to himself. If the Jumaa ever cross paths with that mob, he'll rip every one of the members to shreds for inflicting undeserved suffering on them.

Katina nuzzled Orkid softly and snuffled..she sighed and smiled softly at Ninja and peeped.. Wh...where's the l..leader....

Orkid looked at Petal and she smiled sadly..she slowly pushed herself to her feet and sighed..

Kinkajou growled softly and sunk her claws into the ground in anger..

Sunbeam tilted her head and nuzzled under Orkid's stomach

Phoebe feels her little heart breaking. How... how could anyone do such a thing, especially to their own? She doesn't fully understand not all meerkat mobs are like the peaceful and compassionate Jumaa. She sniffed and buried her face into Ninja's front leg, feeling horrible for Orkid and Katina. She started sobbing, hearing that kind of story, it was hard not to start crying.

Backstaff moves around a bit and stiffs the air. He feels something next to him. Another pup, maybe? He doesn't know. He nudges it with his nose and starts making sounds to see if it'll respond.

Comet frowns at the two females... What a sad story... It seems many of the Jumaas are unfortunate in one way or another, that was for sure... He keeps his distance still though, not wanting to bother them, and so many of the lost Jumaas were trying to comfort them already...

Ponda whimpers, crying a little, and cuddles up to Orkid, chrring. He feels bad for her, and the fact that she's badly injured and bleeding makes him think that they're similar in a way...

At the foraging grounds, Fly whimpers, feeling very worried... Thinking that something might have happened to them... She goes off to find them...


Back at the burrow, Layla has gotten a little bored, really. She starts getting used to her opened eyes and starts wandering around. Her sister was crippled and therefore she had no one to play with back at the burrow. The dark pup eventually comes across Kamaria's pups and sniffs them curiously.

Dipstick also feels Backstaff and peeps curiously, a little confused. The pup tries crawling around a bit... She bumps into Layla and chirps. Who's this? She peeps back to the meerkat she had felt a second ago... Who she would one day know as her brother. There's something here... Dipstick then begins making little calls, hungry...

ooc: I'm gonna have Fly get lost and eventually end up at the Zippers.

Feeling something fuzzy against his leg, Ninja glances down, noticing his daughter sobbing into his pelt. He motions his head downward, giving her a compassionate nuzzle on the head in an attempt to comfort her. He's begun to notice each meerkat who immgrates into the Jumaa seem to bare emotional scars from whatever misfortunes they've endured in the past. Sadly, considering all the misfortunes that have been plaguing the Jumaa themselves lately, they may not get away from the misfortune for long. When will fate show mercy for the poor Jumaa and their new members? He surely hopes after today, the Jumaa will be given a sign that happier days are on the way. Little does he know, fate plans to thrust the Jumaa into turmoil in the upcoming weeks.

Ninji watches as Fly takes off, the urge to follow her strong. She's desperate to know if the missing members are okay. She rose onto her little hind legs, jerking her body forward slightly, tempted to go after Fly.

Aliya fails to notice Fly leaving, but she stops Ninji. Don't even think about it Ninji! Its dangerous out there... The adults will be fine. Your father would be heartbroken if anything happens to you. Stay here, they'll show up.

Root suddenly spots a group of meerkats. Upon closer examination, he faintly recognizes most of the markings and stripes patterns. Its the missing group! And Petal was with them! He ran over, peeping.

John notices Root and peeps back. Did he come from the forging group? Perhaps he could lead them back? He was sure everyone at the forging group was worried. Especially Linda and the other three pups.

Petal nuzzles Orkid in a comforting way. The poor girl... She looks up when she hears a peep and sees its her brother Root. She feels relief to see him.

Backstaff peeps back at Dipstick and then starts feeling hungry. Like Dipstick, he starts making little calls to be fed. Hopefully, they would soon be answered...

Ninji whines in protest, desperate to know if her father, siblings and other MIA mobmates are okay. She just NEEDS to know! Her insistence to want to go search for the missing Jumaa is an indication her selfless and compassionate nature is starting to show, traits of which were past down to her from her mother Linda. However, she understands she'd be taking a gamble with her life if she sets off alone to find them and reluctantly complies with Aliya's order to stay put, where it's safe. Hopefully the adults can find the missing members soon. As she goes to resume exploring around the foraging patch, a peep grabs her attention, and she turns to notice a small group of meerkats approaching the mob. Could they be the missing meerkats the remaining Jumaa have been desperately hoping would return? Upon closer observation, she immediately recognizes their physical features. It is them! The missing members, they've returned! Including her father and siblings. She exhales a sigh relief.

Hearing a peep, Ninja looks up to notice Root rushing over. Hey, that's Root! He notices the rest of the Jumaa behind him. What a relief, they found their way back. He relaxes, knowing the perilous situation is finally over.

Orkid churred softly and smiled gently...she noticed Root and cowered down..assuming he was the dominant male..

Katina churred softly and bowed at Root..

Aliya frowned. She understood how Ninji felt. But going out there and possibly getting killed wouldn't make a difference.

John watches Orkid and Katina, blinking. Why were they bowing?

Root also looks confused. He then seems to get it and shook his head. You don't have to bow, I'm too young to be a dominant. I'm just a simple subordinate male. He walks over to Petal and nuzzled her, relieved to see her unharmed.

Petal returns the nuzzle to her brother, also glad to see him.

Orkid looked up and rose.. Your..not...not..the leader of this group?

Katina rose and bobbed her head

Glad to see her father and siblings back in one piece, Ninji cheerily prances over to them, giving them each a joyful nuzzle once she was in touching range, relieved they came back unharmed and alive.

Ninja exchanges joyful nuzzles with his daughter, glad to be reunited with her. He imagines the poor girl must've been a nervous wreck while he was gone.
