Roleplay- 4th of January

Kamaria yawns and watches her pups carefully.

Aliya comes out of the hole she dug, dragging a spider out with her. A nice, big one. She began to eat.

John scanned the area, staying near Comet. With a disabled meerkat, he'd be an easy target for predators.

Root finally took notice his sister is missing and instantly, he goes into panic mode. He forgets about forging and began to look for his mute sister, worried she could be in trouble.

Petal stays with Kinkajou and Comet, looking up at the sky for any signs of bird of prey. She doesn't know her brother was freaking out about her disappearance.

His apprehensiveness overpowered by worry, Ninja opts to take the risk of investigating the situation and trots in the direction he recalls hearing the distress vocalizations. He hopes whoever was emitting the calls earlier isn't injured or dead, while at the same time, hoping this isn't a trap.

Comet begins making calls again. He's getting nervous and wants to get back to the group quickly.

Ponda follows Ninja, eager to find out who's in trouble. As he hears the calls again, he tilts his head...

Fly, meanwhile, keeps an eye on Ninja's pups, wanting to make sure that they don't get lost... Or get into trouble.

Little Legend whimpers and cuddles up to her littermate.

Seeing her father going off to investigate, Phoebe wastes no time and follows after Ponda. Wherever her half brother went, she followed. No matter what the danger could be. Plus, she was still a little paranoid Iblis would return and attempt more harm to Ponda.

John scans the area, hoping to spot the forging party, but was also ensuring no predators were in sight. He'll give his life to protect the small group.

Petal trembled a little, becoming scared and nervous. She was growing scared that a predator would attack them.

Kinkajou chirped as she saw a meerkat in the distance..she hissed softly..not realizing it was Ninja

Ninja spots meerkat shaped figures off in the distance. Could they be the meerkats who were emitting those distress calls before? Only way to find out is to approach and investigate their situation. Warily, he begins walking towards them, unaware he's being followed by his daughter, Phoebe, and son, Ponda.

At the foraging party, Ninji hadn't taken notice of her father and 2 siblings setting off to investigate who could be in peril and is back to exploring. She stays within a safe proximity to Fly while wandering around.

Kinkajou chirped loudly at the meerkat approaching her..she growled warily..

Comet cowers to the ground... He doesn't recognize Ninja quite yet and therefore is wary... However, after a minute, he spots a couple of Ninja's markings that set him apart from the others and tilts his head... He barks a friendly greeting to his fellow Jumaa... Ponda runs up beside his father and squeaks.

Fly paws at Ninji playfully for a moment...

John also spots Ninja. He was tense for a moment, but he soon began to recognize Ninja's markings. It is him! He also emits some calls of his own to Ninja, relieved.

Petal is also relieved that Ninja is within their sights. She ran over to the adult male and began to nuzzle him, mostly out of relief, but also happiness in seeing him all together.

Once he got close enough to notice physical features on the meerkats, Ninja instantly recognizes them to be John, Petal, Ouija, Kinkajou and Comet. What the...?! John?! Comet?! Petal!? Ouija!? Kinkajou!? Were these the meerkats in distress? How did they...? Noticing Comet being supported, he realizes the 5 meerkats must've straggled while aiding Comet and got lost from the foraging party. He's horrified to discover they were trekking across the perilous open for a long period of time. They're lucky they hadn't attracted the attention of a predator. He exhales a sigh of relief, glad to know all of them are safe. So, it was them emitting those distress vocalizations. This has him relieved to know they weren't rivals setting a trap. Ninja returns the friendly greeting to his fellow mobmates with a nod. Hearing a squeak to his right, Ninja glances down to see Ponda standing beside him and Phoebe trotting behind him. Whoa! Ponda?! Phoebe?! what're they doing here!? He gives them a disapproving look. It's too dangerous for them to be out here. They're extremely vulnerable to predators away from the safty of the mob. If he lost either one or both of them to this cruel place, he'd be unable to move on. He'd most likely die of a broken heart, spiral into a depression or die of starvation as he'd be so distraught, he'd unable to eat. But he decides to let it go, understanding they were worried about the distressed meerkats and wanted to know if they were okay.

Ninji giggles and gently swats Fly back.

Seeing Ninja up ahead, Cloud chirps happily. He runs up to the group, releived that they made it back safely.

Kinkajou smiled and nuzzled Ninja's side softly..she then looked back at Comet..was he okay now?

Sunbeam churred with pleasure and bounded up to her mother..she rubbed against her mother's front legs.. almost like a cat..

Ninja nuzzles the side of Kinkajou's neck caringly, returning her friendly social interaction. He makes eye contact with Comet, his eyes seem to glitter with worry.

Kinkajou smiled and churred happily..she caught Ninja's eye and glanced over at Comet...

Sunbeam churred happily and pranced around her mother..

Orkid slowly but weakly approached Petal..thinking she was the dominant female..Katina followed after her..both of them had blood dripping from their bodies and they were looking extremely frail..

John also looks at Comet. With his paralyzed leg, everyone would have to remember he would be slower than everyone else. He'll be sure to remember and help the poor male whenever he could. He looks at Comet's paralyzed leg with sympathy. Poor guy...

Petal blinks when she heard pawsteps. Turning out, she sees Orkid and Katina. Noticing they were hurt, she gasps in horror and being her compassionate and caring herself, ran over to check on the two. The young teen knew she could be exposing herself, but she was more worried about the two injured meerkats than herself at the moment.

Orkid peeped.. scared..she backed away and hid behind Katina... Katina growled softly and faced Petal..shielding Orkid with her body...

Kinkajou was about to walk over when she heard Katina emit a growl...she growled back..now wary...

Comet glances at the others. Yeah, he was always fine... But his paralyzed leg wasn't going to change... He'd have to live with it until his deathday. Comet sees the two injured meerkats and frowns... He's a little worried about them but as one seems protective, he stays back. He doesn't want to alarm them...

Ponda watches them and tilts his head. He approaches the two meerkats, not understanding entirely...

Ninja smiles, glad to know Comet was okay but understands his disabled leg will always make things difficult for him, especially when it comes to following the group out foraging and back to the burrow. They'll have to keep in mind that Comet will always be slower than the average meerkat when it comes to walking. The next time the Jumaa travel a long distance, they should keep their pace slow so it'll make things easier for him and to prevent this scary situation from happening again. As he heard pained vocalizations, Ninja turns, seeing the 2 injured and emaciated individuals. He gasps in horror at the condition they're in. Oh those poor meerkats. How'd they end up in such terrible condition? He follows Petal over to the 2 injured meerkats, worried about them.

John also watches the two injured meerkats, staying with Comet.

Petal ignores the growls and looks at the two with sympathy. The poor things... She moves closer, but made herself look nonthreatening. She didn't want to provoke them into attacking. She wasn't a fighter and would likely get hurt if they attacked her.

Cloud notices the newcomers, and chirps in alarm. What happened to them?

Noticing the 2 strangers to be frightened, Ninja lowers himself to the sand as he inched toward them gingerly, trying to look as non-threatening as possible to avoid scaring them off. He emits calm toned churrs, reassuring Orkid and Katina the Jumaa mean no harm and only want to help them.

Orkid peeked her head out from Katina's body..she churred softly to Petal and touched noses with her...

Katina hissed slightly..but seeing that the group were harmless she lowered her head and body to the ground then peeped apologetically..

Kinkajou smiled softly at Orkid..she nuzzled Katina softly..it was fine..they didn't mean any harm..

Sunbeam churred with pleasure and bounded up to Orkid..she lowered her body to the ground and growled pupishly..
