Roleplay- 4th of January

A lost meerkat pup watches Ninji, Ponda and Sunbeam play. Being very young, and not understanding the concept of territory, Caffeine goes right over to the pups and chirps excitedly. Hiya! She then joins them in batting at stuff.

Engrossed on sanitizing Katina's wounds at the moment, Ninja doesn't take notice the Jumaa have attracted a vibrant stray meerkat tot.

Ninji hears the high pitch, cheery tone of a meerkat pup and averts her eyes from the blade of grass she was playing with to see the youngster standing approximately 3 feet from her and the other children. She blinks, a bit surprised. Whoa! Who's this and where'd they come from? However, being the newly cordial meerkat she is, Ninji can't help smiling welcomely at the little stranger. Hi there! My name's Ninji! Who might you be? She giggles as she watched her immitate what they were doing before.

Ponda chrrs loud enough for the whole mob to hear. Yay! Another playmate! He runs in circles around Caffeine. This female pup seems like she's hyper. She should get along with Ponda just fine in that case! Ponda is weird due to brain damage, but is also hyper, at the same time kind as well, kinda bold... He'll likely always act a little bit puppish but there's nothing wrong with that... At least not yet... Although he starts to get dizzy, he tackles Caffeine playfully, then falls over. He gets up, stumbling. He tries to spot his half sister Pheobe as the world spins around him. Hey, Pheobe! Look! 8D

Caffeine squeals happily and tackles Ponda right back. Fun! She hasn't figured out that she's lost yet. For now, she's just having fun with the Jumaa pups.

Phoebe had been with her father Ninja, watching Orkid and Katina with sympathy. She hears Ponda and blinks, looking over there. Hey, who was that? She titled her head at Caffeine. W-Who was she? Shyness kicks in and she tucks herself into Ninja's side.

Ninja hears Ponda and ceases sanitizing Katina's wounds, looking over in the direction his vocalization came from to see an unrecognizable little meerkat girl. He bobs his head with curiosity. Who's that meerkat child? Where'd she come from? Suddenly, he feels something fuzzy pressing against his stomach and averts his browns eyes from the meerkat tot, glancing down to see his timid daughter nestled into his belly. He guesses she must be apprehensive of the stranger and bends down, giving her a comforting nuzzle in an attempt to reassure her it's alright. He isn't sure himself of who the meerkat is but is sure she means no harm. She's what seems to be a pup which makes him believe the poor thing had gotten lost and must've came here seeking salvation.

Ninji giggles with amusement as she watched Ponda and Caffeine engage in a play fight. She instantly becomes interested and bounds over, wanting to be included in their game.

Aliya also takes notice of Caffeine. Who was that? Titling her head, she also ceases grooming Orkid and began to approach the pups.

John watches the pups for a brief moment before he resumes his sentry duty.

Root moves over to Katina and began to groom her.

Petal continues to groom Orkid.

It is at this point, Caffeine realizes that she has no idea where here original mob went. She peeps at Aliya. Hey. I think I"m lost.... I don't even know where I came from. Can I stay here for now? While waiting for the answer, she goes back to playing with the other pups.

OOC: Yeah, she's kind of taking the fact she's lost pretty much in stride. Sure she might feel a little homesick from time to time but she'll have what she needs here as well.

While gently gnawing on Caffeine's tail, Ninji over hears her explain her situation to Aliya. She pauses, making eye contact with Caffeine. She's lost? She herself has never experienced getting lost before but naturally knows you should be paniced when in that kind of situation. She tilts her head, surprised Caffeine is taking being lost in stride. She must've been born with nerves of steel to withstand a dire situation.

Aliya titled her head. Caffeine was very calm about being lost... Any pup her age would be panicking. But this proved that Caffeine was a very brave little pup. Good traits in this leader's opinion. She scent marks Caffeine, welcoming her to the Jumaa.

John smiled as he witness Aliya accept Caffeine in. He had never known the compassionate dominant to turn any pup away. She had always accepted them no questions asked.

Root and Petal are more focused on grooming Orkid and Katina and didn't notice Caffeine being accepted in.

Caffeine suddenly starts to feel hungry and starts nosing around at the ground. About an hour or so ago, she had been learning to forage with her natal mob. However, the lesson was cut short when she got distracted by a butterfly and she started chasing it. Now she was hungry from all that running. Though she hasn't quite been weaned, Caffeine vaguely knows what to do...

Ninja had overheard Caffeine explain her situation to Aliya. He's quite surprised to learn her previously dire situation didn't generate panic in her at all. Typically, pups as young as her would be freaking out about being lost. Heck, even grown ups panic when they get lost. But this steel-nerved little meerkat seems to be taking being lost in a nonchalant attitude. What an impressively brave little girl. She certainly has bold traits in her, that's for sure. He sees great potential in the pint sized meerkat. He's sure she'll grow into a phenomenal individual.

Ninji giggles with excitement as she witnessed Aliya grant Caffeine acceptance into the mob. Awesome! That means a new play mate has been added to their ranks! She loves making new friends and is eager to form a friendship with the newly anointed Jumaa.

Linda had followed Tyson to the fringes of the foraging party, more focused on ensuring his saftey than what's going on around her for now.

ooc- I'll resume rping Linda from this pint forward. Is Ninja still with the foraging party?

ooc: Yes.

ooc- Anything important going on?

ooc: No. The mob is just chilling at their foraging patch. A new pup named Caffiene, who's hyperactive, (hence her name X3) was just accepted into the group.

ooc- Okay.

ic- Linda is foraging next to Ninja, looking up to check on the pups every so often.

With things having reverted to being delightfully tranquil, Ninja resumes foraging beside his mate. Every few minutes, he'd glance up to make sure their offspring aren't wandering off too far.

After failing to forage successfully, Caffeine follows the adults around making loud begging calls.

Aliya also goes back to forging. She suddenly winced as her stomach began to hurt. Oh no, not again! Not now! However, she was relieved as the pain went away. Looked like it was just a small stomach pain. Relieved, she went back to forging as if nothing happened.

John continued to scan the area, his golden orbs scanning all over to ensure no threats were about.

Root and Petal soon began to forge themselves.

Duke looks at Aliya, concerned about the pains she's been having.

Linda has had enough to eat and stands sentry to watch over the pups.

Tyson is exploring close to his parents. He's become curious about these strange critters that the adults eat as food.

With his head submerged in the ground, Ninja's ears are closed and therefore preventing him from hearing Caffeine's begging vocalizations. He continues to delve a hole in the ground, determined to find a delectable morsel.

Ninji, however, hears Caffeine's begging vocalizations but is confused as to what they mean. Eventually, she'll quickly comprehend that's how pups that haven't learned how to dig skillfully earn their morsels.

Akita stumbled over a twig, giggling at her riductulous fall. She glanced around self-consiously, a bit emberassed. She sat, acting 'Cool'. Stiffling a cough, she then lifted her head to search for another pup to play with.

Cloud saw Akita's fall, but since she was embarrased, he pretended not to. He smiled at her and peeped. Wanna play?

Akita turned, seeing cloud. She got up, peeping, Yes! What should we play? she asked, exited.
