Roleplay - 1 of September, 2009

Ages of those under a year old:
Clover, Cloud Catcher ......... 6 months and 27 days.

Due Dates:
Leaf and Scar's Litter.... Due 6th of September.
Morning Glory and Stratus's litter...... Due 19th of September

Cloud Catcher appeared by the burrow mouth. Though there were no adults about, he was eager to get out and he bounded forward.

Nimbus was next up, followed by Faeya and then Scar. While Faeya yawned, Nimbus and Stratus took watch and sunned themsleves.

Stratus sat by his brother Nimbus, sunning himself.
Tisca appared by the burrow mouth, yawning.

Ooc: Sorry guys I got struck down with flu again…><

Blinking as her eyes adjusted to the bright sunlight of the morning, Morning Glory hurried out of the burrow and began grooming her forepaws as she sat upright letting the rays warm the soft fur on her slowly swelling underside.
Watching Cloud Catcher jump about across the sand she waited patiently for the others to emerge.

ooc: Mornoing Glory, don't worry about it. If you're sick, then don't worry about us!

bic: Tisca smiled at Morning Glory.
Stratus walked over to her, and started to groom her.

Ooc: It’s ok I’m back up and running again and can reply more quickly. Thank you though Dispy

Morning Glory smiled back at confident Tisca and returned to the affectionate grooming of her mate Stratus. Whilst gently nibbling at the fur on his shoulder, she began to think and stopped grooming to stare at the burrow entrance. Where was Leaf and why hadn’t she surfaced yet?

Becoming impatient, Morning Glory got up and went back down underground to route out the late risers.

ooc: No probs. I'll take over Pancake's characters.

bic: Stratus followed Morniong Glory.
Clover, who had still been sleeping, shook herself awake. She chirped a timid apology.

Morning Glory rubbed her head warmly against young Clover as she went past and continued along the darkened tunnel towards the sleeping chamber. In the back of the burrow Leaf lay curled, breathing shallowly and chattering uncomfortably to herself. Seeing her sister in distress, Morning Glory slowly approached and encouraged her heavily pregnant sister to stand.

Not wanting to cause a problem, Leaf did as she was told and pushed past the two dominants and waddled slowly towards the surface.

Your taking Stratus Dipsy?

Faeya and Nimbus waited patiently at the burow entrance for the rest of the group.

ooc: yep.

bic: Stratus chirped worriedly at Leaf. She didn't look too good.
Tisca walked up to Leaf, hoping to provide some comfort.

Leaf propped herself against Tisca and hung her head wearily. Although feeling warn out she was glad that she hadn’t been evicted and wasn’t having to spend the cold nights curled up in bolt hole on her own.

Returning to the surface and standing tall on her back legs, Morning Glory took in a last few warming rays of the sun before walking away from the burrow to get foraging for breakfast underway.

Tisca chirped to Leaf. If she wasn't feeling well, than she should stay at home. She can stay with her if she likes.

Leaf groomed Tisca’s shoulder to show her appreciation, she would have loved to have stayed behind but finding food was more important. If the pups were to be born healthy she would have to make the best of every foraging opportunity to obtain enough energy.
With the sound of Morning Glory’s lead calls echoing across the quiet Kalahari morning, Leaf muster up her strength and followed the familiar voice out in search of breakfast.

Faeya kept an eye out for Leaf, while Nimbus did his duty for the group. He scanned the horizon for any signs of danger.

Tisca watched Leaf worriedly, sticking close to her.
Stratus follows Morning Glory.
Cloud Catcher bounds along behind, while his sister Clover follows more nervously.

With her head down foraging intently for a meal, Morning Glory dug several holes without any luck. Seeing the family behind her also eagerly searching, she decided to leave their safe empty patch of desert and change direction to try and make it towards the triple point boundary between themselves, the Willows and the Midnights. Turning to look at her struggling sister caring for both herself and the two quickly growing pups, a smash and grab meal or two from a neighbouring mob might not be such a bad idea.

With her mouth salivating at the thought of a fat skink or a juicy scorpion, Morning Glory shook the sand from her face and wandered over to Stratus.

Nimbus kept a keen eye out. They were heading in the direction of the Willows. They were the largest group in the area, and they needed to be careful.

Faeya didn't worry as much, and foraged next to Morning Glory.

Stratus followed alongside Morning Glory. He kept an eye out, a little nervous at leaving their territory.
Cloud Catcher was oblivious to the tension, and bounded along happily, occasionally straying away from the group.

Occasionally stopping at the sound of unfamiliar calls, Morning Glory chased a black shiny beetle across the sand and bit into it with a satisfying crunch. Only a few meter across the boundary and already the pickings were rich for the taking. With no alarm calls raised by either of the males she pressed them forward.

Sluggishly following at the back of the party, Leaf stopped to catch her breath and couldn’t help but wonder why they were going in the opposite direction of the burrow. Quickly grooming a patch on her round belly, she got back on her feet and hurried after her family.

Faeya ran over to Lewa and made sure she was able to keep up. Nimbus, for now, couldn't spot any danger.

Once they had arrived at a foraging patch, Stratus climbed ontop of a nearby bush, keeping an eye out for danger.
Tisca foraged, and though she was a little uneasy, she trusted Stratus to warn them in time.
Cloud Catcher ran from adult to adult, looking for a meal. His sister Clover quietly followed.

Faeya entertained the pups while Nimbus aided his brother in centry.

Cloud Catcher giggled at Freya, while Clover sat there with a more serious look on her face.
Stratus watched the skies intently. He had spotted a vulture, but vultures weren't anything to be alarmed about.
Tisca caught herself a scorpion, and after a little thought, she passed it over to Leaf, chirping softly. Was she feeling any better?

Suddenly, Nimbus spotted something. It was the Willows' foraging party. He sounded the alarm. Faeya looked in that direction and tensed up.

Tisca lept up, calling to the pups. CLover and Cloud Catcher ran over, a little confused.
Stratus ran over to Morning Glory's side, waiting for her desicion.
