Roleplay - 14th February

Emerging up on the surface, Morning Glory looked around and instantly noticed the tense postures of some of her subordinates. Concerned for the safety of her tiny pups underground she emitted a single alert call before pressing forward to investigate. As matriarch of the group it was instantly her business to know what was happening and to instigate an immediate response to the situation.

Approaching Petal with Mist still on looking, The Tiny Kats’s dominant female finally observed the submissive male individual hunkered down in grass but with mob politics it wasn’t her choice to accept him or not, this was up to Stratus. Sniffing the stranger cautiously, he would have to be patient a little bit longer until her mate surfaced to find out his fate.

Gently scent marking Petal to assure her things were ok, Morning Glory sat near Reizel and waited for Stratus. This would have to be decided before she would be able to lead the group out foraging.


With Morning Glory taking control of the situation with the strange new male, Mist relaxed his posture and padded over to Jade and Hyacinth to socialise with a spot of grooming whilst there was still time before foraging commenced. Seeing his brother so happy made him proud that they had made the right decision to bring his mate to their group. His lovely lady looked radiant in the glow of the morning and now he just had to wait that little bit longer to see the arrival of his nieces and nephews.
Seated beside them, he chirped a greeting to his recently emerged sister and beckoned her to also join them.


Hearing Mist, Twilight Sparkle pricked up her ears and hurried over to the gathering of her small family with a family. She wasn’t usually a miserable individual but today a cloud of disappointment seemed to be following her. She had really wanted to spend time with the new pups; it had been ages since she could even remember the last time a female had given birth but with so many individuals in the Tiny Kats she always had a long wait.
Taking a seat on the warm sand next to Hyacinth, Twilight Sparkle began to affectionately groom her shoulder.


Returning the friendly acknowledgement to Rose Heart, Chester Quavers stood to her feet and smiled at the other female pup. She believed Rose Heart would make an excellent babysitter and if Splash wanted to stay behind at the burrow today maybe they could all work hard together to look after the newborns.
Leaving her little relatives snuggled up on the floor; she padded softly over to young Emerald and looked at her curiously. There was definitely something about the young female that mirrored how she felt; Morning Glory would always feel like her mother and the look of adoration in Emerald’s eyes just indicated that the younger female thought that two. Did that alone make them sisters? How could she possibly break the ice and get to know Emerald?

Robyn gave a tiny squeak as Chester Quavers moved away but soon snuggled down warm next to her brother and fell back to sleep.

Antebellum dips her head in welcoming to Mist but shuffles closer to Nemo as she does. She's always going to be wary of new members, but her initial reactions always prove inaccurate- every 'kat that's set paw in the Tiny Kats proves to be a loyal, loving member of the clan.

Rose Heart watches the pups with an expression of adoration on her visage. She may feel a sense of apprehension about her first day on babysitting duty, but is willing to do whatever it takes to keep these little ones under her supervision safe, even if she has to sacrifice her life.

Kayla limps towards the mob quietly. After several days of starving, she is glad to have found a gang of meerkats, and hopes they will accept her. After a few steps, she plops down, making deep whimpering noises.

(OOC: thatistotallyawaytogetaccepted. I am not good at this, since this is my first time RPing as a meerkat, and I am still gathering information about them.)

Rose Heart is still watching the little ones and is unaware a foreigner has appeared with the desire to become a member of the Tiny Kats.

Kayla's desperate chirps get louder. She had to get accepted, or else she'd perish. After a while, she stops thinking and gets even closer to the group. She looks and begins to churr even louder.

You're doing just fine, Bluestar. =3 Don't know where LM went, but once she gets the opportunity, surely she'll have Morning Glory, the DF of the group, notice and accept your character. =3

ooc: Hi guys, Yes sorry I've been away for the holiday period seeing family. Only just today got back to my computer but I will post this evening or tomorrow.

With Reizel’s fate still undecided by late riser Stratus, Morning Glory paced the sand sniffing around still in close proximity to the strange male and the burrow complex impatiently. Without a confirmation of an acceptance or declined rejection she couldn’t issue lead calls, so for now she’d have to do the best she could to find some lone morsels to make the most of the reduced foraging time.
Miraculously uncovering a hiding beetle under a fragment of bark, she was about to sink her jaws though its chitin exoskeleton when a distracting noise snapped away her attention. With a gut wrenching panic that the distressed call of lone juvenile female Kayla was one of her own adopted pups that had surfaced, Morning Glory immediately sat bolt upright and swiftly darted through and around the clumps of greening vegetation.

Trying to fight back any worries of assumed conclusions to any one of her four dear juvenile ‘daughters’ or the emotional rollercoaster that would befall breaking her promises about teaching them the ways of adult group behaviour, she skidded to a halt as she stumbled upon the shady location of a weak cream coloured furry youngster with various grey markings. This female thankfully wasn’t Rose Heart, Chester Quavers, Senji or nearly fully-grown gentle Splash but someone else: alone, potentially wounded and could possibly use some motherly love.

Confidently fuelled with maternal instinct, the calico matriarch softly made her way closer to Kayla keeping her body posture loose hoping the young female wouldn’t be spooked and flee.

With the noticed sudden disappearance of Morning Glory into the grass, Mist stopped grooming his brother Jade briefly and surveyed the scene. Reizel was still observable hunkered down on the sand and thankfully he hadn’t even considered trying to pull off any rover tricks. Where was Stratus though? It was unlike him not to be above ground already?

Content that she had made Hyacinth even more beautiful than she already was, Twilight Sparkle chirped as she shuffled back up onto her feet and wandered back towards the burrow mouth observing Chester Quavers as she passed. The young female wore a look of deep contemplation as she surfaced but since finding her way over to older Splash, Twilight Sparkle shrugged off the worry and ducked back down the winding tunnels. Maybe there was still time to see the newborn pups?

To concerned about Emerald’s likeness, Chester Quavers padded slowly over to her dearest friend Splash and snuggled up alongside her on the warming sand. She had been too preoccupied to pay attention to any of the passing adults, but now she had to put her concerns to one side and mentally prepare for the day ahead.

Rose Heart is getting herself situated in the chamber harboring the matriarch's precious infants. Seeing their adorable mugs sends a sense of delight through her system. They're just sooo cute! She wishes to have little ones of her own someday. As Rose Heart dotes over the pups, she's unaware Morning Glory has discovered an emaciated foreign female not far from burrow premises.

Kayla looks up at Morning Glory and lets out a chirp filled with happiness She brushes against the dominant female's side, hoping not to lose her sight. Her worry slowly fades away since an adult meerkat is next to her.

As Rose Heart grooms grains of sand off the precious infants, she hopes a lactating female decides to help babysit. It'll be a while before Rose Heart herself can provide little ones nourishment.

Reizel respectfully bowed as the queen of this mob approached him. She made no moves of acceptance, so he supposed she was awaiting her mate. He patiently sighed and layed down in the sand as she took off after the sounds of a pup in distress.
