Roleplay - 10th of October

Linda eats enough for now, replenishing her strength, and goes back to sentry duty. They'll need to work hard if they are to survive. Two sentries acting together is a lot better than one.

Tank barks then scans the area for the parent jackal(s). There seems to be no sign of any for miles so he decides to take the oppertunity to help the group chase off the unwanted predator in the making before it's contact barks draw its parents to the group. He leaps down from his sentry post and begins wardancing toward the jackal pup.

Lancaster steps protectively in front of Josephine and keeps his eyes locked on the jackal pup. He watches his brother Tank charge at the disoriented animal. He hopes the jackal pup is chased away before the tormentors become the tormented.

Josephine stands nervously behind Lancaster keeping her eyes open for any sudden movements from the jackels.

Linda keeps a close eye out for danger, working with Maylene to make sure nothing dangerous threatens the three females.

Then Maylene climbed further out onto the branch, but kept being careful and watched her footing to make sure she wouldn't fall.

Taken off gaurd by Tank's charge, the jackal pup yips frightened, then takes off running for its life.

Tank wardances after the jackal pup for a few yards then comes to a stop, standing on his legs with his tail erect. He barks victoriously then returns to the group. He returns to performing sentry duty but this time stays on the ground.

Lancaster smiles proudly at his brother. He's definately a meerkat with a strong head on his shoulders. Lancaster wonders if it weren't for his brother Tank, he and his littermates would've never made it through the dangers they faced through out their puphood. He always knew what to do in the face of danger and would fight to feircely to protect his littermates and family.

Linda gives the "watchman's song" as she remains on sentry, with no danger around she sees. She notices there's little food here. Maybe they should go further out to forage and return here later. She gives a bark, deciding to go along with her plan.

Maylene then barked to Linda and let her know that she'd meet up with her and Verneice later and then Maylene got down from the tree branch and then bounded off in the direction she came. It wasn't something Maylene were to do, but she wanted to keep the group in check and make sure nothing bad happens to them and herself. It was better to be watching a group than two meerkats. Maylene wasn't with Linda or Verneice, but she decided to stay a little further away and made sure to stay out of sight.

Linda reluctantly lets Maylene go her own way and starts heading for a place to forage. She makes sure to leave a scent trail behind incase Maylene wants to join up with her. She looks to Verniece, wondering if she wants to go with her.

Tank scans the area on high alert. After that encounter with the lost jackal pup it's parent(s) could most likely be in the area looking for it's lost young.

Lancaster is foraging under a bush and pulls up a skink. He devours it quickly.

Linda starts heading out in a random direction, hoping she'll just come across a good spot. She allows Verniece to follow, and stands to see if she can find a potential spot from where she is.

Tank sees no sign of an adult jackal in the distance. He lowers his gaurd slightly but stays alert for other dangers that could appear.

Lancaster pulls up a spider and devours it slowly. He starts to feel full.

Jackie forages calmly now the jackal pup is gone.

Snowflake was woken up by the alarm call. He decides to forage again.

Linda starts moving along, keeping a slow pace so Verniece can catch up. She's unaware that the jackal pup is coming in their direction. She wants to get a good amount of foraging in today, so she starts her search for a good foraging spot now.

Tank's thoughts begin to wander as he's standing gaurd. He has the urge to go roving but his interest in acting as the group protector is his priority for now. Maybe he'll go roving tomorrow since the day is coming close to an end.

Lancaster has wandered several yards from the group. He's found a huge termite mound that had caught his interest and curiosity. His keen interest to explore made it too hard for him to resist checking it out.

Jackie eats a millepede quickly.

Snowflake eats a beetle as quickly as he can.

Lancaster stands up on his hind legs and scales the ginormous termite mound from top to bottom in awe. He's never seen a termite mound this huge before. He sees the termites coming in and out of their little holes. They looked delicious but Lancaster is so full that he can barely take another bite of food, instead he circles around the termite mound sniffing it. He can smell that other animals have been by here to snack on the termites.

Tank glances off to his left while keeping his sentry stance tall and balanced. He can see nothing of interest when it comes to danger and decides to let his mind just wander as he observes the landscape around him.

Linda stops and stands, looking around while she was waiting for Verniece. She sniffs the air. No sign of anything. No Willows, predators, rovers, etc. They were alone as far as she was concerned.

Jackie goes to stand sentry now that she was full.

Snowflake eats a skink quickly.

Lancaster peeks his head from behind the termite mound. He can see that the Willows haven't wandered too far and decides to head back over to continue moving through the territory with them.

Tank bounds after the migrating Willows group. He runs up a sand dune close by where he continues to take up sentry duty.

Snowflake goes to the shade. He curls up and rests.

Tank feels more secure as Jackie joins him on gaurd duty. With more eyes on the skies and horizon, they can correspond by watching each other's backs.

Lancaster finds a bush to sit under and sits on his haunches to take a short rest. He glances at Josephine with a charming smile but frowns. He was about to invite her over to join him but with pregnant Buckeye throwing her weight around he decides it's not such a good idea.

Linda looks around, waiting to Verniece to follow, if she wanted to, that is. She still had plans on going out for a new foraging spot, whether anyone followed or not.

Tank scans the area in front of him, knowing that Jackie has his back and that they alert one another and the group if danger suddenly strikes.

Lancaster watches the group forage as he enjoys a relaxing rest under the bush.

Luna follows Linda.
