Roleplay - 19th October

Luna chirps to the group as she has seen that the eagle is no longer around. She heads above ground and stays away from Buckeye. She did not want to be evicted, but knew she would. SO right now, the best she could do was stay away.

Maylene then barked too and made sure the members closest to the bottom could hear here before she ran above ground and then went onto to do her sentry duty. It was something she had to do and the only thing she could do that made her useful and her toughness.

Luna rolled her eyes at Maylene. She was trying too hard not to be evicted. Luna had killed a pup. If Maylene's instincts kicked in, she would take a whack at killing Buckeye's pups too for the sake of her own. Luna eyed Buckeye, Luna knew everyone saw her as a threat because she had already killed a pup, but why were they not attacking the real threat? Maylene was closer to her due date, and it seemed as if she was trying too hard not to be evicted. Was it all a trick? Luna had seen if before...

Maylene eyed Luna back, but then climbed to a higher sentry post and then sounded an all-clear in case some of the members were scared to come above ground.

Lancaster lays down spreading his limbs in front of the burrow mouth. He watches his brother on sentry duty thinking his brother is right. It's time to start being more responsible instead of fooling around.

Tank sounds the 'watchmen's song' letting the babysitters know the area is free of danger.

Luna rolled her eyes. Such an annoying showoff. If she fell, she could kill her pups. But no, the mighty Maylene, if, began to fall, would sprout wings and fly! That appears how she thought of it.

Then realizing that more meerkats were coming and were probably watching the skies, Maylene jumped down and just stood on a log and watch the surrounding area.

Luna went back to foraging. She was getting hungry now, the tiny Alice wouldn't have really held her off the whole day.

Lancaster is thinking of joining his brother Tank on sentry duty but decides against it. He's too lazy to get upXD

Tank bobs his head in curiosity as he sees giraffs off in the distance. He's surprised at how large they are.

Luna finds a small beetle. It wasn't the best pickings, but she wasn't really hungry, so she ate it.

Lancaster picks his head up as he notices the giraffs off in the distance. He watches them with interest.

Tank loses interest in the giraffs and gets back to focusing on keeping watch for anything suspicious.

Jackie forages warily.

Snowflake decides not to sleep again, having put himself in danger.

Linda stops to look at the giraffs. She stands to get a better look and bobs her head curiously. She rarely ever sees them, and their size and height amaze her.

Luna bobs her head in interest as she sees the extremely tall animals. they amazed her. She stared at them and continued to bob her head, unsure if they were a danger or not.

Linda continues to forage, regaining plenty of strength. She will have to wait and see if her litter survives, though.

Lancaster tilts his head as his pupils follow the giraffs' movements across the horizon. They're large size and long body frame interest him.

Tank has his back to the giraffs as he continues gaurd duty.

Linda gets back to foraging. She gulps down a millipede and feels full after that. She then heads back into the burrow to tend to the pups.

Lancaster moves over to sit with Josephine. He churrs passionately then nuzzles under her chin. He tenderly grooms her cheek.

Tank swats at a fly that annoyingly flies around his head.

Josephine grumbled softly as Lancaster came over but was quickly won over by his tender grooming of her cheek. She couldn't stay angry at him for falling asleep on duty and at the end of the day the pups were still safe due to the closeness of the Willows extended family. Chirring she returned the attention and nibbled the ticks off of his shoulder.

Linda gets up and goes above ground. She chirps to Josephine, letting her know that she can take over pup duty for now. She lays down on her stomach in a patch of sand near the burrow.

Lancaster starts to groom down Josephine's neck. He chirps softly thanking her for removing the ticks that he didn't know were there on his shoulder. Embarrassed about Josephine seeing him slacking off, Lancaster churrs apologetically. If he continues up his bad habit of sleeping on important tasks, he isn't going to get anywhere with impressing a female.

Tank glances over his left shoulder as he spots a movement in the corner of his eye. Luckily it turns out to be just a haire hopping passed the babysitting burrow.

Buckeye leaves the bolt hole to see her family resuming foraging. She sat down, watching her family, chirping to let them know that everything is ok. She can't spot Luna, but she will receive her punishment before the day is over.

Hutch calls out. He can't find Verniece. He had seen her last before the eagle attack. He continues to call. Glade runs over to see what he is calling for. She also notices Verniece is gone. As they look around, they spot the eagle flying away in the distance. But as they look closer, they see something in its clutches, something that looks like a meerkat...

Unaware of what has happened, Linda starts to groom herself, taking a quick break from babysitting. She takes in her surroundings, admiring the landscape.

Unaware of a possible tragic event occuring at the Willows foraging party, Lancaster is snuggling up to Josephine. He's interested in mating with her but is too nervous to go through with it. He's worried that he may get her into serious trouble with Buckeye if she ends up pregnant. After today's events he feels it could be risky if Buckeye catches them up to no good.

Tank watches the haire disappear into a patch of tall grass with disinterest. He yawns starting to feel bored.

Linda stands up and faces the sun, trying to keep warm. Winter's a bad time to be pregnant or to raise pups. She gives a frusterated grunt, aware of the coming hardships.
