Roleplay- 23rd October

Linda eats the millipede ravenously. She's trying to stock up on as much food as she can and get a lot of nutrition, and the exhausting battle didn't help. If she's to come out of the dry season with a healthy litter of pups, she's going to need to do things she normally wouldn't even think about doing.

Bravo dozes off, taking a quick nap.

Tank spots movement under the matted down grass. He claws at the grass to get to what ever it could be. Suddenly a mouse comes dashing out of the grass. Tank chases the mouse down and clamps down on its head killing it instantly then devours it ravenously.

Linda starts digging, smelling something more rare. Just what she was looking for. A scorpion. She quickly devours it, stinger and all.

The mouse has satified most of Tank's hunger but he is still feeling hungery for something else and moves to forage near a drie doring bush.

Linda continues to forage, digging a hole deep enough to almost fit inside. She comes out of it with a beetle in her mouth and eats it fast.

Keeko chirps to Buckeye and grooms her under her chin.

Tank moves to the side of the drie doring as he had failed to find something at the front. He gets lucky and pulls up a gecko. He devours it quickly.

Linda finds a skink and eats it. That's enough for today. She returns to the shade under the tree where the others are and lays down, taking the rest of the time to relax. She tends to her injuries as she's resting.

Now that the gecko has satisfied Tank's hunger for the rest of the day, he joins the rest of the group and cleans bug and sand material from his fur and paws.

Linda grooms herself and lays her head down, also starting to doze off. She curls up and starts to fall asleep again.

Tank finishes grooming himself and leans back on his haunches to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Kalahari afternoon.

Maylene is now slowly regaining her much needed energy and food so that she can stay healthy and hopefully deliver a healthy litter too. Then after making it over to a large tree Maylene starts to dig around it and soon finds a rather large skink and quickly eats it and attacks anybody who tries to get at it. After finishing the skink she pads over to to the rest of the group and then lays down.

Linda falls asleep.

Bravo wakes up and sits on his haunches, feeling refreshed.

The sun's warm raise shinning on Tank's face feels good in the chilly winter breeze. Along with a full meal, it's also starting to make him sleepy. Tank's head leans foward as he starts to doze off.

Bravo stands up and takes sentry duty. The nap really helped him, even if it was short.

Tank tumbles to the ground on his back then rolls onto his left side as he dozes off.

Bravo keeps an eye out as the others relax. They've done well today. He just hopes the Midnights or any mob for that matter hasn't discovered the burrow full of pups. He glances at the pregnant females. Soon there will be too many pups to handle. It may be inevitable that young lives will be lost if they all stay in the mob.

Maylene then opens her eyes from her short rest and sits up and then begins to groom herself a little and also licks her leg.

Bravo looks at Linda. Why did she ever get herself into this mess? He thought she was better than that. Now her pups may have to suffer for her actions.

Linda is still asleep, oblivious to Bravo's concentration on her.

Tank's head slowly bends towards his left shoulder as his relaxed neck muscles loosen up in his sleep. He could less what's happening around him as he enjoys his afternoon nap.

Linda slowly wakes up. That felt good. A nice afternoon nap was just what she needed. She sits on her haunches, looking around to make sure everything's alright.

Bravo quickly turns his head away from Linda and gets back to sentry duty before she notices him staring at her.

Meanwhile back at the babysitting burrow, Lancaster is still above ground with Josephine, keeping an eye out for threatening predators or rival meerkats that could try to force their way through to get to the pups. But unlike the main foraging Willows group, Lancaster and Josephine's day has been uneventful. The only exciting thing that's happened so far is well.. nothing. But whether the day was going to be exciting or not Lancaster just enjoys spending bonding time with Josephine. He grooms her tenderly down her neck. he takes a quick break from grooming to look off into the early evening distance. The Willows should soon be returning from foraging.

Brao keeps an eye out, as danger is around every corner.

Linda looks along the horizon. They should return to the burrow soon. The pups should be hungry. She looks at Buckeye, ready to get moving again after her nap.

Snowflake is asleep in the shade.

Jackie sits by him, scanning the area warily.

Bravo keeps a watchful eye out, making the watchman's song as he does so.

Linda decides to just relax the rest of the time. She remains sitting down as she grooms herself.
