Roleplay- 23rd October

Tank shifts the front part of his body to the right and lifts his head up. His situation is looking bleak but if he can find a bolthole to try to recover in, he may just stand a chance. He grunts as he struggles to his feet. He needs to find shelter and fast! Time is running for this brave Willow as the night time predators are starting to emerge and if he's caught by a nocturnal carnivore they won't hesistate to end his misery.

Unaware of his brother Tank's fight for his life, Lancaster lays outside the burrow mouth waiting patiently for the Willows to return from their day of foraging. He and Josephine have had an uneventful day but his evening will be turned upside down once he finds out that his severly injured brother has gone missing.

Linda follows up near the front, walking alongside Bravo. Getting back to the pups at the burrow will ease her mind. They remind her that she will have her own to care for soon.

Tank fights through the pain as he marches on to find refuge. He looks to the right and left hoping to come across a bolthole soon.

Linda walks along. She still hasn't noticed Tank's dissappearance, too focused on other things she's thinking about.

Bravo hasn't noticed anything yet either.

Tank chirps and looks around nervously. The strange sounds of the night are making him paranoid. In his grim condition he can be an easy target for a caracal or any other night time predator.

Jackie and Snowflake are unaware of Tank's struggle and keep walking.

Linda moves along behind Buckeye as they make their way home. They'll have to explain to the babysitters why they're all injured when they get home.

Suddenly Tank spots a bolthole under neath a camel thorn tree. He smiles weakly, happy and relieved to see that he's found a safe haven that will hopefully keep him safe for the next handful of days as he tries to recover from the puff adder bite. He hobbles towards the bolthole on the verge of collapsing. The effects of the venom has just about sapped almost all of his strength.

Back at the babysitting burrow, Lancaster is enjoying the last of the sun's beautiful raise as it disappears behind the distant mountains. He's unaware of the fight that has occured between the Willows and Midnights earlier in the day.

Linda starts seeing the landmarks that tell they're almost home. She needs a good night's sleep when they get back. She's exhausted.

Bravo's also eager to get home. His first night spent in the comfort of others in two months. He's going to sleep well.

Jackie is also eager to get home. The fight has made her even more drowsy.

Snowflake looks around, happily.

Tank starts to feel faint as he enters the bolthole. He doesn't even bother checking to make sure that it's safe and collapses on his side and starts to drift in and out of conciousness. He's just too weak to move as the puff adder venom ebbs away at the last of his strength.

Linda looks ahead. They're almost home. She can almost see the burrow.

Bravo stands momentarily, looking ahead to try to find the burrow. Tank hasn't crossed either of their minds.

Tank's head falls to the side and he rolls on to his back as he loses conciousness. His breathing has become labored and he's now barely alive. It looks as though he may not survive the night.

ooc- I'm running out of things to post. It's taking forever to get back to the burrow.

ic- Linda walks along, getting drowsier by the minute. She needs to rest and have a good night's sleep.

Bravo watches the trees. Nocturnal predators might come out soon. They need to get home.

Jackie looks around warily. The last thing she wanted right now, was a threat to appear.

Snowflake starts to slow down, as he becomes more tired.

Lancaster stands back up on his hind legs and scans the darkened horizon. It's getting close to being the pitch black of night and there's still no sign of the Willows. He sighs, worried.

Linda looks around, and starts to get worried. It's getting late, and they're still not home yet.

Bravo looks around at likely spots where night time predators may be.

Lancaster sits back down on his haunches but keeps his concerned gaze off in the distance. Though he is worried, Lancaster stays patient for the Willow's return. He just assumes that perhaps there was a predator scare or a group encounter that delayed their return home. After all those dangerous events are more likely to occur at this time of year.

ooc- We should get there soon.

ic- Linda walks along, eagerly awaiting their return to the safety of the burrow. She yawns as her exhaustion starts to overwhelm her.

Finally, Buckeye leads her group back to the burrow, unaware of their struggle and Tank's disappearance.

Nudging Lancaster gently, Josephine headed below ground to cuddle up with the pups.

Lancaster sighs in relief as he sees the Willows returning. He pads over the group chirping relieved greetings. He is still unaware of his brother Tank's disappearance but he does note that some of the Willows members are injured. He looks to each Willow interested in hearing about their day's events. Lancaster nods to Josephine. He plans to stay above ground a little longer.

Linda is relieved when they make it back. She greets the babysitters and sits on her haunches near the entrance. She looks around, noticing something... different. Is someone missing?

Lancaster realizes his brother Tank isn't among the group and becomes concerned. He looks around and peeps. What has happened to Tank?

Linda looks down, ashamed of herself. She can't believe she forgot to check on Tank. She chirps to Lancaster. He got bitten by a snake and dissappeared on the way home. She stands, looking around for any sign of him.

Bravo gets back and realizes Tank's gone as well. He stands up and aids his sister in their search.
