Roleplay- 23rd October

Lancaster drops to his haunches in shock and disbelief. He hangs his head and looks at the ground as he starts to feel his body going numb. He raises his head and looks around making distressed contact calls. It seems the fear of losing his brother may be coming into reality.

Linda makes contact calls. He might already be dead. If he is alive, he may be too far away or too weak to make it back. She sits back down, still in disblief that they didn't notice him gone.

Bravo makes contact calls as well. He was just getting to know Tank too. He looks around, fearing that their attempts may be fruitless.

Lancaster stands up on his haunches as he keeps making contact calls. At the same time he scans the horizon and keeps his ears open for any signs of Tank but the calls of the 3 meerkats are failing to reach Tank's ears. He's too far out of range to be able to pick up their contact calls. Lancaster sits back down with a whimper. His brother is no where in sight.

Linda looks at the ground. They're another member down. It will be impossible to find him tonight. She whimpers and looks at the sky. It's too late to head out anyway.

Bravo sits as well. Judging by Tank's condition when he last saw him, he might not even be alive anymore. Linda and him stop making calls.

Lancaster looks into the horizon with a look of seriousness in his eyes. He's tempted to head out to search for his brother but it's too late. If he leaves the burrow now to head off on his own, he'll risk getting himself killed. He sighs depressingly. Hearing that Tank has recieved a severe puff adder bite has Lancaster doubting that his brother is even alive.

Linda takes one last look at the horizon and heads inside the burow for the night. They've had a long day, and she needs her rest. She can't accept the thought that Tank might be dead.

Bravo stays above ground. For his first day as a Willow, he's really experianced a lot. Hopefully not every day is as tragic as this one.

Lancaster stops his contact calls realizing that his attempts to locate his brother are fruitless. He stares out into the horizon worried about the condition Tank may be in or if he's even alive. But Lancaster refuses to believe his brother is dead. Tank is a big strong male capable of fending for himself but the snakebite is a whole new experiance for him and Lancaster worries how he'll be able to pull through without anyone out there to protect him. It's too late to head out and search for Tank but first thing tomorrow, Lancaster plans to head out on a search and rescue mission.

Linda enters the main chamber and lays down. She would like to go out to search for Tank, but it's too dangerous. She can't afford to take the risk with a litter on the way. She looks at the wall of the chamber, thinking about Ninja. She could use his comfort right now. She misses him.

Bravo sits at the entrance of the burrow, considering going to sleep right now. Having recieved multiple injuries from the battle and still being a little weak from living alone so long, he's not in his prime for a long expedition right now.

Lancaster sits next to Bravo with his head held low in sorrow. Without knowing whether his brother is alive or not, it's going to be a sleepless night. He glances at Bravo realizing that he's never seen this male before and lifts his head up eyeing him curiously. Despite the circumstances, Lancaster is interested in getting to know the new member of the Willows.

ooc- They never met? Oops.

ic- Bravo chirps to Lancaster, telling him that he's Linda's brother. He looks along the horizon. Tank seemed like a strong individual, one that could pull through the toughest of battles. He might live long enough for them to find him.

Linda lets out a soft whimper alone in the main chamber. She looks up, focusing on Tank once more. Tank's strong. If she pulled through her neck injury and made a full recovery, Tank might be able to pull though long enough to be found.

ooc: I don't think so

Lancaster smiles warmly at Bravo and peeps a greeting of his own. He chirps softly telling Bravo that he's Tank's littermate brother. He looks off into the horizon smiling. Something is telling him that his brother has found somewhere safe to try to recover. Tank always manages to stay calm under pressure and if he could survive a terrifying near fatal adventure away from the burrow (When he was a pup), then he could pull through a serious snakebite.

Linda looks down. Even though Tank might be fighting for his life somewhere out there, she still can't stop thinking about Ninja. Is he even alive? Hopefully he's alive and well somewhere out there, and hopefully he will return. She wants him to be there to see their pups when they're born.

Bravo looks down after hearing what Lancaster said about being Tank's littermate. He knows what it's like to lose a close brother.

Lancaster has come close to losing Tank many times but will this sibling seperation be the last? Lancaster sighs. He doesn't even want to think about it. He hopes Tank is strong enough to survive. The harsh dry Kalahari winter is the worst time of year to recieve a venomous snakebite.

Bravo yawns and heads into the burrow. There's nothing they can do tonight. They must wait until it's light out again. Maybe Tank will return on his own. He enters the main chamber where Linda is and lays down next to her.

Linda's thoughts about Ninja are interupted as Bravo enters. They lay down together and silently wait for the others to join them.

Lancaster can barely keep his eyelids open as he's overpowered by his need to sleep. He takes one last look at the horizon before heading below for the night. Tank's return to the burrow tonight is looking less likely perhaps he'll make an astonshing return tomorrow. Lancaster can only hope. He squeezes into the ball of meerkats and leans against someone for warmth. He shivers slightly. It's going to be harshly cold night.

Linda shivers and huddles closer to Bravo. The cold's a constant reminder that she will be bringing her pups into the world at it's worst point of the year. The mob can't support three litters all at once. Someone will have to give...

Bravo huddles against the others and feels relaxed. The others might think of it as being cold, but to a meerkat who's been living alone a while, it's paradise, having others to huddle up against.

Jackie looks over at Lancaster with sympathy.

Snowflake also looks over sadly.

Lancaster rests his head on the burrow floor but is too anxious to sleep. He can't stop worrying about his brother Tank. He's severly injured and alone out there in the harsh cold. Lancaster sighs. He hopes Tank is strong enough to make it through the night. He'd be crushed if he never got to see his brother alive ever again.

Linda curls up and tries to go to sleep, but can't. Tank is a good friend, and she can't get the thought of losing him out of her mind. Lancaster must feel the worst out of all of them. She knows she would, and did.

Bravo is huddled with the others. He hadn't known Tank for long, and as such was prehaps feeling the least sad, even if Tank was his only friend in the mob. He gets drowsy and starts to doze off.

Lancaster is restless. He shifts himself several times but can't seem to settle down. He stares down the tunnel that leads to the burrow entrance/exit. He imagines Tank making an appearance around the bend. He'd be joyful and greatly relieved if it really happened.

Linda rests her head down. Another thing she needs to worry about. Losing Tank. She drifts into sleep and begins to dream. Despite what has just happened, she's still exhausted from the day's events.

Lancaster closes his eyes. He needs to rest to be able to have the strength to gather food with group tomorrow. All he can do about Tank is to hope that his fate hasn't been sealed.

Bravo falls asleep as well. Finally a place to call home. If Tank was fine and with them right now, he would sleep well tonight.

Lancaster's closed eyes tighten and he whimpers softly as he struggles not to think about Tank's fate.

Linda starts to softly whimper and squirm around in her sleep. She's having a bad dream.
