Roleplay- 23rd October

Linda cleans the wound and peeps to Tank, reassuring him that he will be alright, but in truth she doesn't know what will happen. His best chances are to get back to the burrow, and he might not make it all the way.

Bravo looks at Tank, concerned. He remembers how his uncle died from a snake bite right before Linda was born.

Tank's anxiety goes down as Linda assures him that he'll pull through this. But like her he's also unsure of how things will turn out within the next few days. He hopes he'll recover from the excruciatingly painful bite sooner than he thinks. If he intends to do so he has to be strong. His first priority now is not to move around so much as to spread the venom quicker through out his body. He also needs to stay close to the group. If he seperates in his weakend condition, he'll be extremely vulnerable to predators.

Snowflake watches the snake leave, relieved.

Jackie looks at Tank with concern.

ooc: Abt, do you want keeko and Buckeye to mate today?

ooc: yea sure

As the group rests, Buckeye spends some time with Keeko. She grooms him, and leads him to a secluded area where they could mate.

Tank hobbles over to where the rest of the group is resting and sits on his haunches hunched over in pain. The only thing he can do now is try to fight off the effects of the venom and stick close to the group.

Linda follows Tank as he moves and sits by his side, sticking by the very one who stood by her in her hour of need. She doesn't notice Buckeye and Keeko leave.

Bravo follows and continues to stay at sentry duty as they check on Tank.

Tank looks up as he hears a noise next to him and glances to his right to see Linda there at his side. He peeps softly greatful for her comfort. He remembers back when his brother Lancaster was suffering from an injury when they first joined the group. He was there at his side constantly, gaurding and comforting him. He also remembers back when Josephine and more recently Linda were suffering from snakebites. They all had stayed strong through out their whole ordeals and he was there at their sides. Now he's the meerkat in need of comfort and protection.

ooc- Wait. Did Tank ever find out about Linda's encounter with the snake?

ic- Linda loyally stays by his side. He was a great help to her when Teetsie almost killed her, and now she's helping him. The sun is beginning to set, and he needs to find shelter. But every bit of movement can put him at risk. She tries to keep him calm with some tender grooming.

ooc: I don't think so. I think it was only Lancaster who knew...I just rememberedXD

Tank keeps his body movements as slow as possible. Any quick or sudden movements could speed up the venom which is travelling through his body. He chirps thanking Linda for keeping him calm. He had been there for her when she was recovering from injuries she recieved from the Midnights dominant female Teetsie and now it is her who's there for him.

Linda sits by him, offering any support. She's afraid he might die. With Verniece and Alice dead, they can't afford another loss.

Bravo keeps a watchful eye. A predator can still come.

Tank stares at the ground with his mind heavy with the thought that he may not make it through the night. The deaths of Alice and Vernice are still fresh on his mind and he worries he may become the next Willow to fall victim to the harsh Kalahari.

After mating with Keeko, Buckeye went and scent-makred everyone. As she came to Tank, she groomed him, hoping it would ease his pain.

Tank is knocked back a bit by the scent mark. He's too weak and wary to move but Buckeye's grooming along with Linda's has helped to ease some of his pain.

Jackie accepts her scent mark.

Snowflake also accepts his scent mark.

Leon took the scent mark with no resistance. He padded over to Tank and also helped groom him, it was always painful to be bitten by a snake, and almost as painful to have to watch a fellow member of the mob fall to it.

Tank's pain eases as some of the Willows members groom his wound but he knows that the relief is only temporary. He slowly lifts up to a point where he's sitting straightly postured. He chirps thanking everyone for the soothing grooming and returns the grooming.

Linda accepts the scent marking and looks at Tank. They need to get home, but he might not make it.

Bravo accepts the scent marking and gets down from his sentry post. He grooms Tank a little and stands by him. Loyalty is one of the traits Bravo's and Linda's birth family has.

Tank looks around. A warm feeling comes over him as the Willows loyally stick by his side. He greatly appreciates the Willow group's concern and sees this loyalty as a strength that will help the group successfully pull through the winter with everyone alive. The Willows have been through many uphill battles and and have always managed to come out victorious. Tank's optomism rises. He has to fight if he is to survive.

Linda lays down, still at his side and looking up at him. The more he stays still, the better.

Bravo remains sitting. He looks up, realizing it's getting late. Tank could never make it back in his condition.

Tank looks down at Linda then back up at the darkening sky and swallows. Moving in one place is risky enough but what will happen while he's walking the long path home with the group? Tank worries that all the walking and moving around could speed up the venom in his body and kill him.

Linda checks on Tank's bite mark again. The venom rots flesh, and the entry point needs to stay clean.

Bravo looks around, incase something else decides to get too close for comfort.

Tank winces slightly as Linda cleans the snakebite wound. It's starting to throb again. He looks down at it and cringes. The bite wound looks disturbing but he knows it's going to get whole lot worse. He's seen a member of his old mob go through the same thing and it wasn't pretty.

Linda continues to clean the wound. Even if the venom doesn't kill him, infection may. She will try her hardest to keep him alive, but knows she can't do much else other than comfort and tend to the injury from the outside.

The throbbing pain eases up again as Linda continues to groom the wound. It's a bit of relief but Tank knows the pain will be on and off for the remainder of the day but he expects that the pain will only get worse. If the venom doesn't kill him infection will if the wound isn't kept clean. Tank bends over to help Linda clean the wound on his side. He wants to take as many cautious steps as possible to increase his chances of survival.
